1001  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Who still doesn't believe coindesk gets paid for good articles. on: June 04, 2014, 03:25:43 PM
And we know you are connected to coindesk... because of your avatar? I think more people agree with me but it is ok, we all know coindesk gets paid for good articles.

I am not sore at all actually, just disappointed that people actually think you are real news outlet and you are doing this kind of stuff to manipulate views of other people.

I can say that before inputs went under, TF told me he paid for an article. Now he is a liar and scammer, but I don't think he would lie about something like that.
1002  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Who still doesn't believe coindesk gets paid for good articles. on: June 04, 2014, 03:35:21 AM
I mean they have to report something everyday, so I think some articles are not bribed but I have yet to see a profile of a company that has shown any of the cons.

Then to block a legitimate comment come on...

I'm sure they could have put negative stuff into the articles about my company, but they didn't.
I think more because their motivation is to make bitcoin look good; so they put a positive light on everything bitcoin related (even when some stuff certainly does not deserve a positive light).

Maybe they have some paid articles; I don't know.  But I know for a fact that not all their positive profile pieces are paid .

There is journalism then their is falsely presenting information, leaving out negatives is the latter.
1003  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Who still doesn't believe coindesk gets paid for good articles. on: June 04, 2014, 02:54:35 AM
I can't speak to the comment removal but I have had a few 'good' articles speaking positively about my business on coindesk and I did not pay any money or offer any incentives to them for writing these articles.

I was just willing to their answer questions so that they could write an article.  (I did not approach them to write the articles they approached me).

BusinessInsider even portrayed them as one of the top 10 BlockChain companies => http://www.businessinsider.in/The-10-Most-Promising-Startups-Building-Stuff-With-Blockchain-Technology/articleshow/34503337.cms

Here is their post in BitcoinTalk => https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=588104.0

Good for them, but the truth is the truth and I want to make sure the truth gets out.

I don't want Khan playing JP Morgan, controlling the press. It shows that bitcoin is still young.
1005  Economy / Service Discussion / Who still doesn't believe coindesk gets paid for good articles. on: June 03, 2014, 08:51:56 PM

Can anyone explain why coindesk removed an important comment about compromising private keys?

1007  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Myth: the Payment Protocol is bad for privacy on: June 02, 2014, 11:54:00 PM
Guys I been trying to fight this fight for 2 years. We all know payment protocol isn't going to work, and companies like bitpay/coinbase are just going to force it upon the newbies until it works.

So lets stop yelling at Gavin, who obviously just wants to play dress up and work on his beard...

AND LETS GET A FORK INTO THE BITCOIND/BITCOIN-QT I am more than ready to help either thru funding or dedicating what is left of my time to making this work. I can't do it myself thou.
1008  Bitcoin / Project Development / Now that Apple's Policy has change if you are building an IOS wallet... on: June 02, 2014, 10:15:24 PM
We want to help the first iOS wallets hit the app store fast and furious. This is why APIcoin will be giving a month free of service to ios developers building a wallet. Just pm me for how to take advantage of this!
1009  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-06-01] CD: Cash-Strapped MultiBit Developers to Charge Transaction Fee on: June 02, 2014, 05:27:12 AM
Multibit is far cry from a high quality client and to force people to "donate", should show it. I am going to call it what it is, a GUI on top of bitcoinj.

I think Jim and Gary should sit down and go how are we going to monetize it without a users being forced to "donate".

1) They could get a company to sponsor them. Look at how well that worked for Jeff at Bitpay, he doesn't even upstream anything anymore...

2) They could explore if you want customer service you have to purchase a plan. I know some people would take but Jim then doesn't need to insult people like he did on reddit.

3) Build a plugin store, allow people to build plugins and sell them. Then take a commission.

4) Ads... I actually don't mind ads but I would know people who hate them and would get a plan to remove them.
1010  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Understanding Cold Storage on: June 02, 2014, 05:05:05 AM
2. do u have any recommended cold storage?

This is for anyone, but my service https://apicoin.io has personally help setup 5 large cold storage wallets for business type transactions. We can help any business or site, get a cold storage with our software. We don't hold any funds or ask for private keys but we can help make that disconnect a lot easier Wink
1011  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The block chain API hell on: June 02, 2014, 05:01:47 AM
In your methods personally i miss, information about spent transaction for address. For unspent, getunspenttxforaddress is missing senders and receivers address.
I am not developing another block explorer, but the information i need is almost the same.

I added the all transactions api call to our list. https://apicoin.io/api/v1/doc/#transactionsbyaddress

Sure why not

Should really be under it's own user account.

1014  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-05-30] BitFury Raises $20 Million on: May 30, 2014, 06:38:58 PM
That's a lot of money. What do Bitfury actually do? Are they a mining company?

They build mining equipment and they are miners. http://www.bitfury.org/
1015  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-05-30] BitFury Raises $20 Million on: May 30, 2014, 06:14:51 PM
Seems these venture capitalists are throwing sill money around lately.

I wish I could show off some of my offers, I deny most of them because they want insane amount of equality.

Good glad to see VC recognizing where the security of bitcoin is and supporting it. Without these companies bitpay, coinbase, and everything else would be worth $0.00

Equality? Equity?  Grin What are you running?

Obviously I shouldn't be running anything LOL

1017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you personally seen a bitcoin millionaire? on: May 30, 2014, 06:06:27 PM
I met a couple really big bitcoin millionaires and they were cool, they were normal people. You probably couldn't tell they were millionaires to be honest. One guy told me, he said he still goes to work every day at the same job he just treats it as a hobby and doesn't get too stressed out.

That's a good way to handle it I think. I'd like to think I'd do something similar, but I would like to travel a lot though. Some people go crazy when they come into money quickly and it goes straight to their head. I find it really obnoxious when people brag about their wealth. Meekness is such a virtue with wealth.

I wish I could remember the name but their is a documentary about lottery winners and how most of them end up being poorer than they started off with.

I think most richer people in the community just feel lucky to be able to do whatever they want now, like build bitcoin applications Wink Yes we all want the ferrari, luxury boat and the super model girlfriend (I am still working all three) but in life what is that give you, 3 seconds of pleasure maybe.

1020  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-05-27] BitPay Processing $1 Million Per Day in Bitcoin Payments on: May 30, 2014, 03:20:56 PM
Is there any chance to know who are their biggest clients? I have heard that Overstock processes close to $100,000 in Bitcoin payments every day. What about the other big players?

Also overstock is powered by coinbase not bitpay.

Oh. I wonder how much Coinbase is dealing with then. Anyone have the figures for them?

Bitpay is doing more than coinbase for sure. Coinbase is really quiet about their income so I doubt we will ever know for sure.
