781  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Escrow list on: August 11, 2014, 09:56:49 PM
Just to let everyone know, I am starting to do only large escrows as the small ones aren't worth my time anymore.

This would be anything above 5+ BTC
782  Other / Meta / Re: New legendary rank? on: August 11, 2014, 07:19:39 AM
I feel so left out Sad

It only feels like yesterday I got to hero so another rank to get anyways your pretty close Gweedo only 4 months
But I like the gold coin they added.

From 0
960/365 = 2.63 Years

It will be an achievement unlocked once you get there lol.

Also you might get the coin early or need to wait the full 960 + 70 since it has a random function ^_^.

To make things more fun, the Legendary membergroup has no universal activity requirement. You are guaranteed to become Legendary somewhere between 775 and 1030 activity, but the exact point in this range at which you become Legendary is random per user.

I am close yet so far! It is like teasing, I hate it.

I added a new Legendary membergroup with a yellow coin. I am completely open to the possibility of changing both the name and the coin color if people don't like them. In particular, if people find that threads are now too "glittery" with all of the yellow coins, I will remove the color or make it more subtle. If you think that some other color would work better, download the legendary.gif image, modify it with your color, and post your modified GIF image. Don't change anything but the color of that one region in the image, though. (I make these images by opening the image in GIMP, selecting the colored region, and then using the Colorize tool.)

Rolling! LEGENDARY! GET

Can you make getting legendary provability fair? So we know if you don't like us that we get it anyway Smiley

Github, or we don't care and that image is so small, I know I am getting older but my eyesight isn't that bad.

Why do new mods already have a power trip? If you are not a hero member you haven't been here long enough to be a qualified mod! Theymos has to redo the staff of this forum, some people are getting mod status way to easier.

As far as I know, BCX would be a decent Altcoin mod. I'm familiar with the controversies which happened, what like two years ago? I will say that BCX has been a longstanding member of the alt coin community, and while rather blunt in most cases, would know what they are doing.

BCX has been here for a while and the ALT coin section is a mess, it is the stepchild section of bitcoin and if he wants to rake thru that muck and fix it, let him. I see no harm.

Hi,

when will be the metallic version availible for order?

Never, they stop production on them due to how hard it was to make them.
788  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Getting Wikipedia to accept Bitcoin donations - Community pledge on: August 06, 2014, 06:57:00 PM
So, I donated the extra $270 (0.46359 BTC), and now the Bitcoin community is proudly listed as a leading donor.

I will say it again, good man and stand up action!

790  Economy / Digital goods / [WTS] Domain: bitcoinpaas.com on: August 04, 2014, 11:17:08 PM
Before I get asked, PaaS stands for Platform as a Service, this an industry term.

Looking for offers, this one will cost a bit more.

792  Economy / Digital goods / [WTS] Domain: bitcoinfortknox.com on: August 04, 2014, 11:13:21 PM
I am looking for offers and I want someone who has an idea of what they will built with it, as I will be checking in on the progress instead of it being held for investment.

794  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Brutforcing a wallet on: August 01, 2014, 12:32:46 AM
It is not hard to find a wallet(the bitcoin address) with enormous amount of money in it.

Its not hard to find a network with enormous amount of hashing power(any pool).

So my question is; How safe is it realy? How long time would it take for a big pool to break a singel address and can it be done?

Pretty much impossible. It would take many many lifetimes over. Don't believe me try it! https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Vanitygen

Here I tried to brute force this address https://blockchain.info/address/1FfmbHfnpaZjKFvyi1okTjJJusN455paPH better known as DPR's coins.

Epic. 7.2E23 years.

Yep it proving the that the laws of the universe are in line with bitcoin!
795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Sync Problem on: July 31, 2014, 06:35:30 AM
Hi
I am a noob to Bitcoin. I installed the bitcoin and asked my friend to send me some money. he sent it.But my wallet was out of sync.
Now i am 100 weeks behind. I was in need of that money for a transaction. The sync process is very slow.
Is their any other way to make the sync fast or to get the money from it. I need that money today or tomorrow.
Please help me Guys.

Syncing is based on your IO and bandwidth speeds. You can also dump the private key and move it to a web wallet, but that is extremely dangerous!
796  Economy / Gambling / Re: Hey I'm addicted to gambling what else can I do?? on: July 31, 2014, 06:31:12 AM
Get a sponsor that you can call and have him talk you down in those times.
797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Crypto Web on: July 31, 2014, 02:43:30 AM
Probably should be moved to the press section.

I also encourage new members to soak in the information during that 6 minutes, a lot of it is trolling information but once a week there are some good threads, that challenge the way bitcoin and altcoins work.
799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin BitDevs NYC Meetup - Streaming on: July 31, 2014, 12:49:36 AM
