BUMP, all these domains are registered on namecheap.

to interface with BCT's API

Bitcoin doesn't have an api, so he is scripting meaning that really nothing theymos can do to prevent this without changing how self-mod post work.

Alternatives wished for in this thread are still not at its level of support.

Chain.com has over $13.7 Million in funding it is better than BOP. Also why give them the source code? To give the best support you should have ran it on your own servers, then you could debug and provided the necessary fixes.

Because I did not have 13.7 Million funding. Because BOP was written two years before chain and is still superior to that.

Still I don't understand why you gave them the source code, they are clearly not java developers and would have a difficult path of fixing bugs/updates. This just seems a combo of both BOP and mytrezor issues which plague both sides.

Is Trezor support planned in version 1.5 or near future versions?
Not anytime soon, sorry. 2.0 needs to happen first with BIP32 support, and then we'll see...

You also need BIP 44 support, which is an extension of BIP 32 to use trezors.
685  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ESHOP launched] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: October 23, 2014, 06:11:07 PM
Stick any ETA on multisig support?

I'd really like to use GreenAddress.it wallet.

Trezor doesn't need multisig support, greenaddress.it just needs to pull a public key from the device, then use their public key to create a 2 of 2 multi-sig address.

But I think, that it should be wise to drop "Bits Of Proof" if that's the "so called backend" and replace it with something more decent, perhaps "chain.com" can be a contender?

Unfortunately no other blockchain explorers understand BIP32 ...

Bits of Proof delivered a software without not a single TREZOR would have been useful or sold until now.

It supports your technology just as you wished for. It serves hundreds of your customer in every moment for more than a half a year.

You could be regarded fortunate having such a partner. Unfortunately you do not see it.

Stick you don't need a blockchain explorer to know anything about BIP32 or BIP44. Just generate 100 addresses at a time, don't show the ones with no transactions, unless the next address has transaction or a balance. Chain.com can handle this pretty easily and probably can be done all in javascript client side, not leaking the BIP32 Xpub key making it extremely more private.

They even have web hooks (https://chain.com/docs#webhooks-receiving) that you can use to push transactions to every user using websockets and have the javascript client side parse it and update the view. You could even just websockets the addresses changed in the transactions and if that matches an address the javascript client has, then update the transaction list and balances.

You don't need a block explorer to speak bip32!

Is that necessary or even desirable? Is the root xpub uploaded to mytrezor.com servers for balance check? That's pretty bad for privacy, no?

Yes horrible privacy, trezor has many mistakes like this that harms the product privacy. The faster electrum can get out of beta the better!

you mean "myTrezor.com".

Yes mytrezor.com
689  Economy / Digital goods / [WTS] Bitcoin related Domains on: October 22, 2014, 05:43:25 PM
apicoin.io [2 BTC] (This domain has great SEO and has had a lot of money put into it.)
bitcoineastcoast.com [0.13 BTC]
bitcoinfortknox.com [0.13 BTC]
bitcoinpaas.com [2 BTC] (PaaS standards for a Platforum as a service, and have had many low ball offers from many blockchain api services.)
proofofassets.org [2 BTC] (Proof of assets is a schema for exchanges and sites to cryptographically prove the coins they have. I had some offers for this one as well, but I declined them all due)

All these domains are worth more than the prices I am listing them at and are a steal! So contact me open to neg. but I am pretty hard on most of these since they are worth a lot.

Here is better php validation code, which was actually created by theymos and Mike Gogulski. Should work on a stock php5 install.
Code:
private static $base58chars = "123456789ABCDEFGHJKLMNPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijkmnopqrstuvwxyz";
  public static function checkAddress($addr, $addressversion = 00) {
    $addr = self::decodeBase58(trim($addr));
if(strlen($addr)!=50){
return false;
}
$version = substr($addr, 0, 2);
    if(hexdec($version) > hexdec($addressversion)) {
      return false;
    }
    $check = substr($addr, 0, strlen($addr) - 8);
    $check = pack("H*", $check);
    $check = strtoupper(hash("sha256", hash("sha256", $check, true)));
    $check = substr($check, 0, 8);
    return $check == substr($addr, strlen($addr) - 8);
  }
private static function decodeBase58($base58) {
    $origbase58 = $base58;

    $return = "0";
    for ($i = 0; $i < strlen($base58); $i++) {
      $current = (string) strpos(Bitcoin::$base58chars, $base58[$i]);
      $return = (string) bcmul($return, "58", 0);
      $return = (string) bcadd($return, $current, 0);
    }
695  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Bit API Hub] How do you feel about our new startup? Ideas? on: October 18, 2014, 12:37:50 AM
My next question is how do I know my connection from me to your api, and from your api to the end api is all safe?

Your connection to our server is secured with HTTPS and our official SDK will not allow you to connect to us if the SSL cert fails it's verification. Doing things this way mitigates MitM attacks. Tier 1 and higher can opt to have their transmission data verified by attaching an OpenSSL signature which must be created with your private key which they generate. (The SDK can generate them and there's an example file that you can just run and have one instantly created.) The signature is checked with the public key that you upload to our server in your account area.

The connection from our server to the the remote server is secured with HTTPS when available, plus we use as much security as the remote server allows us to. (For instance, Blockchain.info has the option of requesting an API key to use for access to certain features. This helps to make sure that all of our calls can be traced back to our server.) In the event that someone misbehaves on our system and it could impact other users, all of our requests include our contact information in the user agent field for the request, as well as the ID of the user who called that remote server. (The ID is just a number from our database (Such as 48754) and it doesn't leak private information.)

Aside from any information that you deliberately tell our proxy to relay to the other server, we only give your account ID just like major companies do when they allow for mass mailings through email. (Mandrill does this for example. The ID is useless to anyone except for us. It's not used in identifying your account in any way except for our customer service can locate you with it.

Ok good! Do you have a beta site that developers can check out or is there more to read about your service?
696  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Bit API Hub] How do you feel about our new startup? Ideas? on: October 18, 2014, 12:18:46 AM
I created the first bitcoin api as a service or better known as a PaaS. It isn't easy, choose right now are you hungry or not.

First off be fast, this isn't easy I had to rip half of the guts out of the bitcoind. Second know your database, i would recommend building your own blockchain database, speed is key. Also you up again gem, and chain, they both have money and chain has a lot of it. Start thinking of ways to spilt you from that pack. I added proof of assets api which was one of my heavy used apis.

I also before shutdowning the service, was working on a multi-sig wallet api. I suggest you do the same from your send api, or add send raw transaction hex, that can't be changed once signed. Make yourself trustless.

ALSO NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER hold coins on behalf of someone, that end your business in a second.

Good luck if you want some more advice let me know I have a lot of it. Especially in this area.

Thank you for the advice! I really appreciate it. We will never hold any money on our servers as there isn't a reason for us to and we'll never hold money anywhere for anyone. When people order from us, they will pay with places like BitPay or GoCoin. As we're a proxy, we will have third party APIs integrated into our API.

My next question is how do I know my connection from me to your api, and from your api to the end api is all safe?

698  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which Block Explorer do you use ? on: October 17, 2014, 04:11:40 AM
I have actually been enjoying https://chain.so/BTC but only issue if they read this is if they can make a cookie that saves BTC when I click on it. So when I go to the site I can just go straight to bitcoin.

Its interesting to see 10 different bitcoin block explorers are listed at one place in OP. Can u please tell us if there is something extra in chain.so that is not available among others ?

I like the layout as well as they give you the amount of txs per min. Also I like their address landing page gives you a short link as well. They also detect self change addresses and omit it from the received amount.
699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How soon will schoolbooks include Bitcoin :)? on: October 15, 2014, 06:18:38 AM
schools currently dont teach kids how to fill in taxes or teach kids much about true value of money as it is.

Very much false, it isn't required but a lot of schools do teach it. I took classes in high school that taught us how the fed works, and how banking worked. Of course it was very layman's terms and didn't take any political spin on it.

I also learned about filing taxes and different forums, as well as balancing a checkbook, and how the stock market works. Granted I was in 9th,10th and 11th grades so it was again very high overview.

Can you have Stunna and Dooglus confirm your claims, otherwise it isn't believable. Also you say you "I've developed 5 or 6 crypto gambling games from scratch" but only have one thing isn't helping your claim.
