1241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Problem with Jaxx wallet and ZEC on: October 17, 2017, 09:25:01 PM
I had nothing but trouble with Jaxx. Do not make the mistake of submitting your mining rewards directly to the wallet.

Also you can find the wallet file on your PC and load it into a normal zcash wallet like zcash4win and you wont have those problems anymore.
1242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: October 17, 2017, 09:23:06 PM
So here is what the data center wanted to host my L3+'s:

Quote
- 2 Rack / Cabinets--$250 Each / $500 Total MRC--$0.00 Installation Cost
- 3-30A/208V A&B Single Phase Power Circuits--$700 Each / $2,100 Total MRC--$0.00 Installation Cost
- 1-100M IP Circuit--$400 Total MRC / $0.00 Installation Cost

Lets see here, $3000 per month for them to host, or $1800 per month for me to rent a nice home including hosting for my miners by doing it myself.

Tough decision Cheesy

Are these numbers from a traditional tier X datacenter? A crypto mining datacenter would never have prices this outrageous. They certainly wouldnt charge for infrastructure that should already be in place.
1243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Adapter issue on: October 17, 2017, 08:53:50 PM
There is. It is the alt coin section about halfway down the main page.

Also, it looks like your motherboard is quite nonstandard. There is no 24 pin ATX power connector like you would expect. I would not recommend this board for mining.
1244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Add2PSU vs dual ATX cables on: October 17, 2017, 08:48:48 PM
It is very tiring having to constantly tell people who are too lazy to read the stickies or the name of the forum subsection that they are in the wrong section.

It should have helped you realize that you are in the wrong section and will not get any answers here. If you could not deduce that from Step 1 I cannot help you.

Also Step 2 tells you that you shouldnt be running these wasteful pieces of hardware when you can run a quality power supply with a higher efficiency rating that doesnt require gimmick jumpers to work. It is kind of the opposite of not contributing. I am helping you to see the error in your ways.

1245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [HowTo] Get 1080 Ti for ~400 USD on: October 17, 2017, 05:56:26 PM
What is the point of saving money on a couple video cards when people are just giving it to you instead?

1246  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How can I contact Bitcoin mine farm in China? on: October 17, 2017, 05:34:48 PM
Go to china and hunt them down.

The video you link says SECRETIVE mine. they arent just gonna throw out a public phone number for you to call.
1247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Add2PSU vs dual ATX cables on: October 17, 2017, 05:30:53 PM
Step 1: learn to post in the proper area

Step 2: Use a server power supply and not some shit atx. Then you dont have to worry about useless junk like the add2psu adapter.

1248  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is Syan a real deal? on: October 17, 2017, 05:29:22 PM
It is kinda ridiculous that they only have that 1 working miner in a lab......

Pretty sure they have 0 working miners, nor do they even have a 'lab' for testing. I pointed out it was a scam weeks ago.

Windows is junk, have you tried linux yet?
1250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Will I MELT my Asrock H110 motherboard? Electrical advice needed. on: October 17, 2017, 04:44:42 PM
The extra power connectors are there for a reason. Its pure laziness not to plug power into them.

Also, you do not need the 5v for those connectors. I run a PCI-E to 3 molex cable to power my H110s directly off of a server PSU along with a 160w PICO
1251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Needed: Antminer L3+ batch 1 or 2 firmware (not the one now on Bitmain site) on: October 17, 2017, 04:35:50 PM
If I am in the wrong section, I am sorry for that but I see a lot of your comment only to ask to move to Altcoin? Why?
If I use Antimers L3+ mining, lets say Prohashing, I can use them on BTC payout? So what is the difference?
Not much, only your Dogma standing in your way I think. Please don't think A SHA miner is just all. There is more...

What you get paid out in has nothing to do with what algorithm your machine is mining.

Scrypt is not sha256 and this is a section for sha256 hardware.

This means you are in the wrong.

People are telling you to move to the altcoin section because that is the section that deals with non sha256 miners.

Do you take your diesel vehicle to be worked on by a mechanic that specializes in rotary engines? I mean they are both engines right?
1252  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: need some help on replacing the five pin cable for avalon 741 on: October 17, 2017, 04:19:21 PM
The ones you ordered look good.

When I had to replace Avalon cables in the past I just ordered bulk female to female breadboard connectors. You can just peel em off 5 at a time and glue the pins into a single plug with the smallest bit of glue. I was able to find  some really long ones which helped with placement of the miners.

Similar to these:

1253  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Very large mine - tips on: October 17, 2017, 04:13:13 PM
You will need to run different proxies for each coin algo you are mining. Why are you having a problem with an unstable stratum URL? Any pool worth mining on offers private VIP URLs for large customers.
1254  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: please help on antminer s9 GH/S(RT) is showing 0.0000 on: October 17, 2017, 04:03:43 PM
Look in the kernel log, it should tell you why its not hashing on those boards.
1255  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: avalon miner 741 low mining speed on: October 17, 2017, 04:02:17 PM
The Avalon miners have error codes. Have you looked them up?
1256  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Changing pool on CGMiner for avalon 741 on: October 16, 2017, 04:32:09 PM
Yes, try it in a regular browser.
1257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nicehash legacy vs nicehash miner 2 on: October 16, 2017, 04:31:11 PM
use neither because you make less with nicehash than running a miner on your own
1258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone can offer some help/insight about old video cards and mining. on: October 16, 2017, 04:22:10 PM
I think you have already figured out that your card will not work with current algos. If you are interested in getting into mining why not buy a single useful card that will let you test as many coins as you want? You can buy something for under $200 that will help you get started.
1259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What Renting Services are out there? on: October 16, 2017, 04:18:57 PM
Sorry but who is going to give you hashpower for one day when they can mine it themselves and earn just as much? Does not make business sense to do that.

Actually there are a few big reasons to rent out hash power over just mining.

1. Customers pre-pay for the rentals meaning you can realize a much quicker flow of money to help expand rather than waiting 6 months to mine that much.

2. Renting hash power means you can put a steady fiat income on your companies books, which is very important when fundraising or applying for loans. Banks dont look at future mined coins as realized revenue.

I could list a few more but you get the point.
1260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 7th GPU's not working on MSI Z97 Gaming 5 on: October 16, 2017, 04:14:57 PM
You really should stick to just 6 cards, any more and you will run into stability issues. Compound that with the fact that for some reason you are running windows to mine with and you will end up with a rig you have to mess with every couple of days.
