Cheapest was around $950 Highest about $1400

That is a really difficult question to answer as coin difficulty and value is changing all the time. I have found that cryptocompare is a bit aggressive on its mining reward estimates in general. Just remember you cannot forecast profits in this industry, its literally impossible. There are just too many variables.

I am getting a red "Calculus is too low" indicator on my e9. Does anyone know what this means?
The ebit miners take a while to reach full speed. This error is the miner complaining about running too slow. You will normally see if the first few minutes the miner is running as it ramps up to full speed. You will also see that when one of the hashing boards has gone bad.

I use an addon called No Script that stops all of that browser nonsense and it only runs what you tell it is safe to run.

Are you verifying actual hashrate on the pool side for both of these? Just because one miner executable is reading higher than the other does not mean its actually faster. What matters is what is being successfully seen by the pool.

1. Its the internet, there are no real rules. At least they were nice neough to mention it on their site.
2. Through applets that load in your browser. There are already some other threads on this forum about it.

I think you need to research on who this company is, its not a small player.
They are not a big player at all. They are a complete unknown in the crypto industry and so far everything they have came out and said sounds like complete unsubstantiated bullshit to anyone with half a clue about how our industry works.

The stench of bullshit is so strong it was hard to even read the entire article. Talking about 5nm and 3.5nm chips? Riiigghhtttt

Well yea, you always want to run mining equipment on 220. All US 110 service is capable of supporting 220. That is what your clothes dryers, stoves, pool pumps, and other things run on.

No you need more than 2gb per card to mine eth. You basically have a card that is old enough and power hungry enough that you will not make uch of a profit if any mining. If you want to mine you need to buy something that is current, otherwise you are just making heat and wasting electricity.
|
|
|
Instead of wasting all that time troubleshooting Windows you could just install one of the linux based mining distros and be done with it. You will have a stable, reliable miner that you dont ever have to mess with. Windows is shit for mining, it is only used by people too lazy to learn something better.

Id say go with one of those Delta 2400w PSU kits they sell on parallelminer.com

Try to telnet into the RPi and verify the networking is working via command line. Make sure you can ping a public IP and that DNS is working.
|
|
|
When you say you cant connect do you just mean with a web browser? Try telnet and see if you can connect. Until you set a password on the RPi the telnet port should be open and connectable.

If you are buying it second hand it might not come with a controller to run it. You will want a raspberry pi 3 flashed with the Avalon OS image if it does not come with one. Other than making sure you have that the setup is quite easy.

No firmware changes have ever fixed this. It is something I have dealt with on these s9s since the beginning. As it doesnt affect mining in any way that I have ever noticed I just chalked it up to bitmains laziness in that they dont care to patch it.

The 13 slot H110 board is a good mining board but running that many GPUs on a system just means that one failure point takes out all of your hash power. I personally recommend 6 card rigs.
For a good 6 card rig my current favorite is the Asrock B250 Gaming K4. I run hundreds of these and they work great. I also have had very good luck with the Asus H270-A but that is a more expensive board than the others so I wouldnt recommend it over the Asrocks.

We can all thank bitmain for this bs. I called it then and ill call it now.
Why does everyone keep blaming bitmain for producing a product that people buy? This is the same as blaming Ford because there is traffic congestion. It such an ignorant way to look at things.

I updated it with this firmware: Antminer-S9-all-201705031858-600M-user-Update2UBI-NF.tar.gz
This is correct, no? I have 12.93Th/s version.
You can safely ignore my comment. I had multiple images open and was looking at one with auto tune frequency enabled. My mistake.

First piece of advice is to post this in the proper section so that people running GPU rigs actually see it.
Second piece of advice is to replace Windows with a proper OS.
Also you need to define what type of reboots. Is windows blue screening? Is it forcing a normal reboot? Are you losing power and just blanking out?
