Never tried it, but I think in places like Africa they extract the valuable elements by melting the whole computer and removing the slag. I presume the heavy gold would settle to the very bottom. For a simple, and more safe option. I think the pins on the bottom of a PC chip are all gold. You could cut them off for a tiny it of gold.

Ah, That marketplace. No. But this article could lead to some of their vendors accepting them. It would be a bitcoin friendly market.

Any mention of bitcoin services in the marketplace?
Oh! now I see it! "...with mailed cash services such as nanaimo-gold.com,...". I thought it was mentioning cash services in general. I owe you a Nanaimo bar.

Yes. Bitcoin is mentioned on page19.
"It is the future of money. Bank on it to survive any crackdowns and protect your identity at all costs."
Sweet!
Any mention of bitcoin services in the marketplace? The article is titled "How to Accept Payments Anonymously - A Digital Currency Guide". It details several digital money options such as LiqPAY, WebMoney, etc. Only a paragraph is devoted specifically to Bitcoin. The article does not go into services or vendors by name, other than to say "Numerous Bitcoin exchangers such as Liberty reserve exist who will convert it into cash in the mail or another e-currency with an ATM card."

...she was amazed (misleading euphemism?) at how I could always bring the conversation back around to Bitcoin.
We have some things in common bro. I'v been driving my lady crazy turning everything into a story about bitcoins.

Wow, 2600. That brings me back. I will have to check the bookstore later today to confirm.

I wonder about an option for business to just stick a toe in the water. For example: a box on the website that displays an item(s) of the week available in BTC. That way a stor does not risk turning all their stock into bitcoin. That could be scarry for some owners.

It seems to me that even your #3 is achievable if there were a desirable product that could *only be purchased in BTC. Wish I had that product/service idea.

Last day to bid! I kinda hope someone from here wins this.

I would consider what a BTC is worth to you. Offer that in SDK and see if anyone sells. Or go see what llama socks sell for in SDK and compare that to BTC.
|
|
|
I gave .10BTC because I couldn't call .05 a "donation". Giving back your bit-nickel is just setting the score to 0.

So that's what they're calling it these days..?
So very wrong.

...There's one for NY and probably others.
That's kinda what I was thinking. I have gone to a few meetup.com things in the past and they are fun. P.S. @Plato, I pinned your map.

Yeah, eMansipater is awesome. We could all learn a thing or two from him about how to treat newbies. Welcome to the Bitcoin forum, humphrey!
Amen, Tiny tip sent to eMansipater for being such a cool guy to new forum members.

I think it would be fun to meet somewhere for some trading and fun. Attendees could bring a laptop and some garage sale type stuff. Buy and sell things, drink and laugh. Could be a good time. I know how much some of you value your anonymity, but I don't mind saying that I live in Wisconsin. I would be willing to drive as far as Chicago for such an event. Has this been tried? Is it interesting to anyone else?
|
|

I see you will be nowhere near Wisconsin. If you get lost and find yourself there anyway, I have a spare bedroom, and can sell you some gas/food for almost nothing. Free if you want, I just thought you might want to buy as part of your project. Happy travels.

Huh. That does sync up nicely.
