161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will mainstream users care about the difference? on: November 03, 2020, 07:59:39 AM
Assuming that they can receive and send their money quickly and conveniently with ecash, I speculate that they will never care about the difference between centralized and decentralized.

Would this not hurt bitcoin as a currency? Would this not only encourage bitcoin to be used as a speculative investment? How about mainstream adoption?
Most people in my country that I know don't care about the difference between centralized and decentralized as long as their payment mode is quick and reliable.

Bitcoin has a lot of difference in e-cash, and I think this wouldn't hurt bitcoin. People still adopt it because they will see many opportunities to earn, not like e-cash that only use for transactions only.
For now we are all agree that everybody in mainstream world has no awarness about the urgency of decentralized finance.
But as time goes by i think there is a hugr chance people will do aware about that, the needs of decentralized finance will reach the climax at some point and that is the moment they realized that the centralized finance must be leave away.
I dont know when it is. But the time will surely come.
162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: November 03, 2020, 07:41:06 AM

Did you guys watched the last couple matches of liverpool?
They are sucks in defending without van dijk at the back and also bad in attacking without penalty , they given 2 penalty in the last 2 matches too.
Another bad records is that they have conceded 15 goals in the league , 2nd worst after west brom 16 goals.
With the stats above i believe the match will have a lot of goals , 2-2 is my score prediction.
163  Economy / Speculation / Re: history loves repeating itself. the only question is when! on: November 03, 2020, 07:02:41 AM
The last bubble was inflated when there was no margin in the market and CME traders who blew out the last bubble!
So I wonder if they can blow a new bubble when everyone can buy a long position?
This. Is critical to consider.
Someone could make $1million usd out of $10k with his positions in short time during the bubble , can we really compare the good old days circumstances to the recent event that the market itself has changed a lot.
There maybe a periodic increment instead a shock increase 100% within the day now like 2% steady increases in 3 days or something like that.
Will we see a $3000 to $6000 over the night again? I wish so but realistically it is hard too see it nowadays.
164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: November 03, 2020, 06:41:57 AM
I had high hopes for the Man Utd - Arsenal yesterday but it ended up being a complete dissapointment, so hopefully Leeds - Foxes will show us some proper football & entertainment. No bets for me in this fine monday evening, but I predicted a home win in the btctalk pool...just want to see Leeds getting closer to the Champions League spots  Smiley

Fulham - West Brom...not gonna waste my time watching a clash of winless teams, yuck! =P
Tough roads for leeds if they looking for european spot , that high expectation maybe will only deliver them more pressure than motivation, big money has been invested in manager and players , to surevive in premier league is a must , i predict they will taste a battle relegation if they not fixing the problem ASAP.
1-4 is a huge loss for a club that wanted an european competition , leicester looks like are the one who killing every single smaller club while lost to the big six and it puts them on top 5 at least like the last season.
Good win foxes!
165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: October 31, 2020, 10:41:19 PM
Congratulations to Madrid.  Madrid didn't miss this opportunity (against a weak team) they managed to win 4 - 1..

second half (80th minutes) Sevilla vs Bilbao still draw (1-1)

today the team that competed was pretty good, my next pick: ATM and BARCA..
Late comeback from villareal to get 3 points , wasteful leadimg for sevilla after scored early goal
2-1 for villareal as they scored 2 goals at 76' and 86'

Alavés 1 - 0 Barcelona

unbelievable that barcelona conceded a goal like that  Shocked Shocked Shocked

I think Koehman is not a good coach for Barcelona but he's been brought to Barca just to maintain them to a certain level until they will find a proper coach so no wonder why they're not feeling their game today as we can see Griezman scored and just had another goal invalid for offside. If the old CEO will come to barca , we might see another run of Pep-Messi and this would awesome to watch.
And this is another drama
If only there is no red card , alaves would have win this match to embarassing the giant barcelona (again)
Even to play against 10 men , barcelona still find it is hard to score more goals which makes them failed to get 3 points.
Not a dream start for koeman , evaluation will be done at least in the first half of the season
But of course if everything get worse he could be sacked early than what it has planned.
166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: October 31, 2020, 06:35:35 PM
Liverpool 0 - 1 West Ham

I will lose my Multi bet
Everybody i think will mad at liverpool if the result remain disappointing like that
Lucky liverpool given a penalty to end the first half with 1-1 now , they will go comeback for 2-1 or 3-1 i guess with that playing style.
They are dominating the whole game with 76% in possession , it is only the matter of time for the next goal to be scored by liverpool.
There is still a chance even it is like a dejavu as liverpool a bit struggle to go throughwest ham defense just like when they play against midtjylland
167  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin breached $14k today on: October 31, 2020, 06:11:34 PM
It's definitely creeping upwards, after the Paypal announcement I think a lot of asset managers are starting to take it a lot more seriously and consider it to be a viable currency. Once that happens the sky is the limit when it comes to pricing, it could easily double from the current valuation as different companies seek to get a stash of bitcoin to diversify - the only thing that will hold it back are rising transaction fees driven by lots of retail buyers. I wonder how long it will take until we see the $15k barrier reached.
There a lot more individual and group of financial institution to go into bitcoin coming very soon and boom to reach $50000 looks like not a dream anymore.
It has been 2 years since 2018 the price reached back to $14000 this is insane after we have been through down to $4000 in march, and now we are in strong bullish signal .
This is not a temporary hype. This is a real organic movement.
How confident are you guys riding this moment?
168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 31, 2020, 05:51:10 PM

So we are excluding as roma and fiorentina match as  a non big game?
I think the match between the two can give us some entertainment with a lot of goals possibly scored.
Lets take a look back in head to head last 4 matches between the two
2-1 for roma
4-1 for roma
2-2 draw
7-1 for fiorentina
Look at the numbers of goal produced in that matches , i expect at least 4 goals can be scored whether it is a draw or for one of them.

I dont like so much AS Roma.. only at the time of Totti did I like him, now I don't see points in common with a team (which if I remember correctly is all foreign owners).
I will be retrograde, but I like solid companies with a long-term project (Juventus, Napoli, Atalanta, ..)

Neither i am , i just pointing out there is interesting match between the club that used to conquered europe as people might forgot about that
As roma had zaniolo , the 21 wonderkid that projected to be the future of roma, there also borja mayoral etc
Have a foreign owner doesnt mean they are careless, look at inter milan with their chinese money spent so much to build the future.
Agnelli and de laurenriis might one step ahead but as roma with dan friedkin is only few weeks since the takeover and there a lot of space for him to make a long term investment with zaniolo leading the front not for profit taking if there is a bid come for zaniolo.
New era just begin at roma.
Anyway atalanta win the game against crotone 1-2 , i expect a lot of goals like 4 or more , too bad ot was just 3.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not needed but only for investment purposes on: October 31, 2020, 04:43:51 AM
Do we really need bitcoin?

Most of the members here will say yes but bitcoin is not needed unless you want to earn or lose your money.
Who would want to lose money in the first place?
Bitcoin has more advantages than being a form of investment. Convenience with transactions is something this technology is giving to its users but since there are still limitations of its usage, mjority of people are just looking in the perspective of it, being an investment. And I doubt once it is globally accepted as an alternative payment, people will still minly use it as means of investment. Its market value will not continue increasing, I do more anticipate a more stable market value in the future once mass adoption occured. Investing mhas risks, and investing into it is not by force. It is the decision of someone to engage with it. The price is indeed high but it doesn't need that much of an increase to generate profit. It is on the investor on how will he make things at its fullest.
There is no way bitcoin to have a stable market , decentralized means nobody can control over it to make things stable.
It is just ok to me those people treat bitcoin as investment, what is wrong with that?
It is showing how multifunction bitcoin can be , its technology have inspired a lot of projects to appear to fix this world into a better and efficient world.
My message to op kingsgambet19 : Dont be so skeptical like that.
170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Multi bets vs single bets on: October 31, 2020, 04:24:04 AM
Personally, i prefer single betting. It's much more simple to predict it (first point)

Also, this is where math is rules everything:

For example, you have 3 event with 50 % chance each of needed outcome.

Single bet has a 50 % chance (which is enough good)

In the same time, multibet has a chance 0.5 * 0.5 * 0.5 which is 12 %. Because wee need to win first event AND second AND third to get our money.

But yeah, if we will success with our 12 % the reward will be also reward1 * reward2 * reward3. But man, there just 12 % chance!
Well can we fuck with math and just do it in multibet for the sake of luck?
Yes sometimes this is all about luck.
Mathematically a team with 1.2 odds will win for 80% but doesnt mean there is no way they will lose. Luck determined everything in gambling at the end.
I have once created 3 multi bet with odds over 50 and all of them won
That is the moment you are loving your multibet habit and hoping for luck is not that hurt.
It is even much more hurting  when you found your bet on 1.01 lost. Cry in blood.

172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain losses over $13.6 billion due to hacker attacks on: October 31, 2020, 03:13:25 AM
Title is misleading to me, reading it, I thought it was "https://www.blockchain.com/" who was hacked today.
That is also what I thought on the topic but while reading the OP's post, it is different. And I thought also that it is all about crypto.

Anyway, many companies are now using blockchain technology that $13.6 billion is really and probably not just only the total amount that hackers had taken out from the community.

If these activities won't stop, then it has to think that scammers will live forever. Because of those numbers, I believe that the authorities are taking actions already to minimize or even to stop it but unfortunately, the number of cases is increasing, it simply means that they are hard to eliminate these scammers.
No matter what , you will always found there is bad guy at the other side
The hacker attack will live forever , we will see another attempt to steal crypto either it is from personal wallet or exchange wallet, it is cannot be stopped but only prevented.
Bitcoin and any other crypto is the perfect object to stole , it has no physical , the law enforcer mostly dumb about this thing and it is just pretty easy to claim once the hack operation has been done.
If i had that ability , i will just turn it to a white hat rather the black hat.
173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: October 30, 2020, 11:09:30 PM

Last week against Fulham, Crystal Palace had only 34% possession . Crystal Palace won the game but against Fulham which hasnt win any match this season that just prove that they are really bad though. They even has pretty much the same possession against Brighton. It will be another lucky win for Crystal Palace again if they ended up winning this
Crystal palace had a good first two games of the season, all fresh and really looking like a team to bite doubters but since then its been down-hill for the roy's men, and thats looks like staying the same way because at the moment the are down to wolves, not a wolves team we have been excited to watch this season, lost some players that where blood vessel that keeps the teams heart running, but the look like a team now.
How can you say that they are a team now?
The current wolves squad is more than a team! They are all speak in portuguese , they are a national team too lol
About the game they beat crystal palace 2-0 , both goals scored at first half
I was expecting crystal palace to fight a little more by score at least 1 goal as they are not play that bad
Unfortunately they cannot do it as wolves defense quite solid to break. They are moved to 3rd now and crystal palace 9th , still above chelsea , arsenal, manchester city and manchester united lol
174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: October 30, 2020, 10:19:52 PM
Eibar and Cadiz play this evening, what can be expected
it is interesting to note that Eibar does not have win at home in first four matches, and Cadiz won all their away matches, must be influence from empty stadiums, and this puts Cadiz as favorite tonight, based on the fact that they play away Smiley
They did it again!  0-2 winning it in style , the 35 years old negredo on scoresheet again.
Cadiz has something to fight for , european competition should be their place as we have seen athletic bilbao and valencia can be kicked out from the european competition slot because of their recent unconvincing form
I love talking the underdog being continuously favorited to achieve something, it is not everyday. Cadiz now on 2nd place ahead of real madrid which has 2 games in hand.
175  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Stays Above USD 13,000, Altcoins Take Hit on: October 30, 2020, 02:51:33 PM
Basically it goes like this. Bitcoin Pumps - > Alt coins dump -> Bitcoin Tops -> Alt coins pump -> Alt coins top -> Tether pumps and cycle repeats. This is what we clearly saw first hand in 2017-2018. Bitcoin started the year at $1K and went to $20K, and when it topped in Dec 2017, for some odd reason altcoins started to pump into levels we haven't seen before. ETH topped out at $1400 and XRP at $3.20. And later the ship started to sink.

I think the reason why this happens is because people want BTC when its rising and not alts, but when bitcoin tops they want to get into either fiat or alts. Alts are preferred if they are cheap, so people get into alts, then when alts pump, they sell into fiat because they know both alt and btc will dump and holding tether or fiat is safer. And history repeats itself.
Is that cycle you mentioned above is a real one that come from a research/data or just your own opinion/speculation?
If that kind cycle is really exist , people should have noticed it and find a way to make money easily through this cycle , it is not hard to understand.
There is no fixed pattern isnt it?
Altcoins get the pressure as a lot of holder cash the altcoin out and switch it to bitcoin as they see the rare momentum, this is general to happen.
176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How far will you go when you sent btc to a site with high fee but... on: October 30, 2020, 02:14:00 PM
With high fee I wouldn't wait, but I rarely use high fees. I have a problem with two transactions at the moment, I sent 0.003 to one casino and 0.008 to another, with ridiculously low transaction fees, and I wait more than a day! Sometimes they get confirmed fast, but sometimes I wait longer., like now… that's not the problem, I can wait!
Sometimes I get nervous and I try to speed up the transaction using BitAccelerate, ViaBtc..sometimes it works for free, but many times not! Usually I just wait, I train my patience! Smiley
You cannot train your patience when you know your team is gonna win the match as they in advantage to play against 10 men in football for example
And while you waiting for the bitcoin to arrive in your wallet , few minutes later your team score  goal and the odds dropped drastically.
That moment you will feel angry on how the tx fee and tx time takes too much time
That is very annoying moment.
The next day you will switch to use altcoin!
177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: October 30, 2020, 01:53:11 PM
Not the most interesting football is waiting for us today... Wolves VS Crystal Palace... Both teams have almost the same statistics of past games... But I think that the home team will win... Wink
Not a secret why people choose wolves to win over crystal palace, they have a great squad and last season was impressive.
This season they even bought the whole portugal squad as a package, nuno did his imagination into reality lol
I bet wolves to win too but with 1-0 or 2-1 only.
No more upset.
178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin reach $20k fee will be huge? on: October 30, 2020, 01:31:00 PM
I hate to see the fees getting high this time but can't change it either. The changes in its fees likely proportionate to the current market price. People are now moving in and out of their Bitcoin, the TRX demand is higher, heavy traffic pulled it cause delay, and the more it pushes the fees to get higher in order to prioritize my miners.

Just like what I did today, I send out some BTC with the lowest fees of about 125 sat, it is already 5 hours has passed but still not able to receive it until now. Well, that was expected to happen this time unless if we set to higher fees, but I was saving from it that makes me willing to wait until it confirmed.
Yes we do hate to see the  fact that most of the transaction  still had a pretty huge fee
Especially for newbie who often uses web wallet that sets an average fee of 10000 satoshi to 30000 satoshi even higher sometimes.
You cannot set a fixed fee but when the price of bitcoin gettin high the fee will follow
And that moment you will have to figure it out, about adjusting the fee without have to get in trouble like what you did by waiting for too long.
If you'd like to send small amount it is better to switch to altcoins , bitcoin for me has too high fee

Big game ? No one. Top teams should all wins.

Well there are no big matches on the card, absolutely true.
Perhaps the only one that can give some satisfaction Napoli-Sassuolo?
I think no other one can give fun.

If we see the rate of bet
1.53 for Napoli and 5+ for Sassuolo...

So we are excluding as roma and fiorentina match as  a non big game?
I think the match between the two can give us some entertainment with a lot of goals possibly scored.
Lets take a look back in head to head last 4 matches between the two

180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whale transfers $1 billion in bitcoin and pays $3.54 in fees? on: October 30, 2020, 11:35:44 AM
Considering the amount of money he was holding. It's either from a group of individual or a single whale that has a connection/have own mining farm that prioritize his transaction block. The owner is confident that his transaction will be complete even though there are tons of pending transaction on mem pool. There is no way that this guy didn't know what he is doing by sending huge amount of money using small amount of fee.

I agree with the above. There is no way the whale was able to bypass the transaction network fee without having some sort of alliance with the mining community.

This either being something he controls like the idea above where the guy has his own mining infrastructure or indeed knowing somebody who does mining and somehow transferred to their node.

I am ware some of this may come across as sounding ridiculous but there is no way in heaven this was done legitimately, without the advantage/s described above.
If then what you are saying true , there is a vulnerability i guess in the transaction mechanism
I mean for those people who looking to avoid high fee while they will have to move the bitcoin pretty often , they could make a deal with certain mining farm / miners to make it have a low fee periodically.
You think it is possible and makes sense guys?
Is there any other way doing this fee adjustment in legit way and risk-free? I mean a low fee sometimes makes your transaction pending for hours even days.
