Yeah! Those who were not with bitcoin during its dumps, they were not able to devise market strategies to take benefits of massive increase in the value of bitcoin.
This is the case with people who are willing to get rich quick. They try buying without reading the charts, buying at the all time high. Eventually the price drops and they think it was all a scam, leaving no time to look into what bitcoin is or its use or its charts of price rise and fall.

Quote
They were unaware of the volatile nature of bitcoin so when it started going down, such people did panic selling which ultimately resulted into losses.
Yes, and this is going to continue because some idiots are always there even if you teach to preach the better methods of trading with analysis.

The whole "bitcoin can make us rich" hype is false context. It can make you rich but it it will not be overnight or permanent. You can cash in or cash out when the prices move sideways.

that is the usual irony we can see around here, high expectation low knowledge.

those people who bought bitcoin at its all time high at $20000 and decided to keep hodling until today will surely get depressed, regretting what they have done , can you called it as a bad luck? yes it is a bad luck and dumb uneducated greedy all at once.
to understand this business required an intense education -autodidactly- it is a bit complicated , this is not luck based business but people tend to think like that , easily get lured by how someone making $10000 from just $100 , dude you can not do the same over and over again.
there is no harm dreaming about getting rich through bitcoin investment as long as you do it full of responsibility.

there a lot of cases where people asked to join in bitcoin investment without any sufficient knowledge and only given a promise that it will grow hundreds fold! which in reality everything heading in the opposite direction, they lost too much instead get their investment growing. that is the common irony.
462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 15, 2019, 08:59:49 AM
I still think Leicester will fall away & finish outside the top 4 but then againI thought Arsenal or Spurs would catch them the other year when they went on to win it.

If you put a gun to my head & told me to predict the top 4 at the end of the season I’d go -

1st - LFC
2nd - City
3rd - Chelsea
4th Arsenal
Hahaha Arsenal in the top 4 seems like a total dream according to me. They started off well but seem to be losing it every Match day that comes by. Aubameyang would score almost in every game, and he is the reason things are not even much worse. Right now he hasn't scored in a couple of games and look how Arsenal are dropping points. I think Leicester or Man United stand a better chance of taking up that fourth place.
emery seems will leaving bad legacy in arsenal , nowadays it is not important to play good looking game with impressive statistics but you lost the game.

emery force their players to play beautiful football by making a possession in almost every game but all of them ended very bad , people will only look at the result nowadays no matter you are playing negative footbal , as long as it gives you 3 points you are a great manager . look at what jose mourinho did to manchester united , he is using negative football and making good records during in charge at manchester united , he is leaving with good -at least not bad legacy- with his managerial records.

i do agree that this season arsenal will heavily to get through the top 4 , europa league spot is the only realistic spot for them.
463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Informed is Your Country's Police About Crypto? on: November 15, 2019, 08:19:26 AM
My country has been actively enforcing and busting these kinds of investment scams including crypto related ones and other cyber crimes that I believe our Police, together and in coordination with other law enforcement agencies are continuously training to acquire necessary knowledge and skills in order to be more effective in combating these types of crimes.
this cyber crimes issue has been exist for years with various motives .

as time goes by there is a lot of new motives behind any commited cybercrimes , cryptocurrency that born since 2008 become a primadonna for those who have abusive behavior like scamming on behalf bitcoin , phising etc.
a lot of techniques making fraudlent in this digital financial era and i believe every country in this world even the poorest country are aware about the issue and have taken action against all of it , still they can not handle it 100% , they only human.

cryptocurrency is a free world , nobody can protect you 100% not even police , educate yourself that is the better protection.
464  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy every dip! on: November 14, 2019, 06:48:47 PM
This is the most fundamental strategy of staying safe in the world of crypto currencies. You are simply supposed to buy expensive coins like bitcoin when the market is down like it was this year. Why it is important to buy bitcoin specifically in dips? Because in pumps this is the most expensive coin and that is the ideal situation for cashing out profit. Right now market is great for buyers.

wrong. this is only important in "world of bitcoin" and basically any other asset that has a potential for rising or is on the rise. otherwise in "cryptocurrencies" this not true at all. most of them are in long term dumping mode forever with some short term pumps which means when you see a drop you can not call it a "dip" and it won't be worth buying it since after that drop there will be more drops unlike bitcoin where after the drop there is more rise instead.
actually if you are a typical trader who loves taking big risk , to buy every dip is your perfect way to gain big percentage of profit.

the risk could be worth , but if you are prefer to play it safe then i think to buy in the bearish run is a big mistake , you will feel that the drop is like never ending and guess what you will do? buy high sell low and buy high sell low again!
buy it on the bullish run if you want lower risk and sell it right after you have the profit in your pocket even it is only a little bit. that is how it works.

finding the real dip never easy , you have to monitor the movement every single minutes even seconds to get the very dip!
465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Counted Or Estimate All Your Losses And.... on: November 14, 2019, 06:19:33 PM
Anyone really count on it? I don't think anyone betting on casinos never have this habit because people who love casino may not have that much patience to do all the calculations but the sport betters have this habit, they will note everything what they made and what they lose because its just a part of their habit since they have lot of analysis work before the bets.
yes! those people who gamble on games like dice, blackjack, roulette etc won't bother to count it all.

they come to a casino , feel the atmosphere , walking around and place bet here and there randomly hope for nothing but if it is a winning just be grateful  Cheesy Cheesy and if it was a loss that is okay they consider it as a ticket to get the entertainment, so sometimes it is not even crossed in their mind to counting how much they have loss as it will only bring a misery and an endless regret .
pretty different when it comes to sportsbetting people often calculate everything , make an excel file etc as it is not just a game of luck.

spotsbetting require a serious bankroll management , if you did not estimate your losses , you won't be able to manage a better steady profit in the long term.
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 14, 2019, 05:28:10 PM
Christian Eriksen?

He should go where Pogba will not go between Real Or Juventus.
He wanted only Real on the last summer market window.

So in the end If Pogba goes to Real, Eriksen will go to Juventus and viceversa.
eriksen one of most expensive free agent , he is worth 100 mil euro and his contract expired on june next year.

since real madrid seems failed to land ngolo kante from chelsea , eriksen is the best option available, can not see a chance pogba move to real madrid it seems the rumour about pogba getting quiet recently.
another hot transfer rumour is jadon sancho who got a lot of attention especially from manchester united who urgently need an attacking minded winger , liverpool reported interesting to sign him in.

meanwhile chelsea still waiting for the transfer ban appeal next week , they are also interested in sancho in case the ban lifted up this january.
467  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where you take inspiration when you tired from trading? on: November 14, 2019, 04:12:36 PM
I just vacation with family, visiting quiet places, like waterfalls, mountains, water rides. or entertaining children play. I personally need a long time, about 5-7 days to make my mind relax. after that return to trade. besides discussing in this forum is also one of my inspirations in understanding my mistakes in trading that I have done. and in essence I did a picnic and sharing thoughts with family and friends.

I really agree with you, going on vacation, traveling with family is really comfortable and helps your mind relax, especially quiet places like forests, mountains, rivers because when you are near Nature you will feel extremely fresh. Then when you return to trading you will have a source of inspiration, a source of motivation that can help you work effectively, trade better.
travel! it is really help me to restart everything , those numbers in your head will disappeared!

our daily routine in front of monitors all day are stressing out , a lot of people does not aware about how important to refresh your mind and your soul sometimes hehe to give you the best and optimal performance not only in trading.
but generally in any routine activity everyone should have a break point otherwise you could get a stroke even on the young age  Cheesy

trading with clear mind is more effective. force yourself to keep going to trade is kind of maniac lol
468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Will You Do To Recover Bitcoin? on: November 14, 2019, 03:53:43 PM
In 2010, you came across a site that was giving away bitcoins. The site said it was free money so you signed up.

A balance on a site is just virtual until it sits in your wallet. Not your keys, not your wallet.
Quote
How would you recover your BTC?
There might be no way to locate such website again because most websites that gave free bitcoin during that time are gone.
Just accept your fate and move on because the biggest mistake you made was leaving it on website.
here i have interesting short story , i was so dumb in 2013 bought 10 bitcoin for 60 usd each .

found a site that basically it was ponzi offering me to double my bitcoin in no time by sending to certain address , try it out for 1 bitcoin and successfully make it 2 in the next day , really amazed and repeat it several times but guess i successfully withdrawn 2 bitcoin while actually i have sent more than 5 bitcoin and get held there until now lol i have tried to tracing back the site in 2015 and of course they are disappeared haha

the good old dark days  Cheesy . it was really fun experience, in that cases you should not take it seriously. there is a lot of free bitcoin events in the past and they are already gone , pretty simple to solve it, forget everything.
469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: November 13, 2019, 08:53:26 PM
These are the matches for tomorrow
-snip-
It seems very easy games for the stronger teams.

France got some problems with their formation but they should be fine with seconds lines too...

easy game at home and favorited means there will be a terrible odds .

i see a lot of people tried a bet for 0.5 goals in all uefa europa league matches few days ago. will it work this time at the EURO qualifying? considering there a lot of big teams play at home , there should not be a problem to score an early goal.
this gonna be a boring game with less pressure as the real competition is not started yet.

wish all the matches ended with a lot of goals produced , so we can get some entertainment  Cheesy
470  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are underutilizing Bitcoin on: November 13, 2019, 08:07:16 PM
As a consumer who uses Bitcoin to pay for my subscription for various filesharing and other services, I can say for sure that most users would love to use crypto if it's available. Compared to other alternatives, the fees and speed ratios are reasonably good. If I can pay all my bills with bitcoin then I'd gladly do it, and I believe most would do the same. The problem is not many merchants do that.

Maybe the 'hold' and 'bitcoin is a crazy investment' mindset is still too strong, especially with how bitcoin is marketed to new users as a 'quick rich scheme'. Start educating them with what is sound money and why bitcoin is the perfect candidate for that and I think there will be more users who'd use bitcoin to pay their bills.
the fact that bitcoin price recently moved up from $7000 to $10000 within few days only , people still call it a bubble.

and maybe they will continue to do so , the bitcoin utility as a payment processor is fade away in my place , people prefer to consider bitcoin as an asset to store value and hoping for crazy profit in the future just like the other day when it skyrocketing 10000%!
that is a real case in real environment that what people feel about using altcoins more convenient as a payment processor rather than use bitcoin.

stable coin still have a high transaction fee like $5 , i think people won't consider it seriously as altcoins competitor because with altcoins you can pay $0.001 as a fee and it delivered in a couple secs.
471  Economy / Economics / Re: Malaysia to Limit Cash Transactions in 2020 on: November 13, 2019, 07:37:40 PM
Just because they limit the cash transactions doesn't mean that it will be digital currency right away.

It would make a big difference and would send a lot of people into bitcoin world however there is still credit and bank cards (debit card) and credit card etc etc, nowadays banks mobile apps even use the QR code payments so forth which means before bitcoin becomes too big in Malaysia there is just one enemy down but 5 more to go. That is really all around the world if you ask me , yeah we do use cash in our countries right now for example but how much cash are we really using?

Do you really use cash (paper money) like you used to? I personally don't. I use my banks debit card and I personally use my mobile app for almost everything I spend my money on.
classic overconfident crypto supporters , you can not blame about this, the excitement is too high haha

bitcoin in malaysia is not fully friendly, they tried to regulate everything involved cryptocurrency but the strict financial regulator in malaysia still has a heart to make a local fintech -crypto based- company to grow by making the regulation a bit easier.
what is the correlation? the news about malaysia to impose cash transaction limit should be a big opportunity for those local fintech to show off to takes a stage in the business.

this situation is a bit complex but for the crypto supporters it is just simply the day of crypto currency become mainstream used everywhere in malaysia is just really near. i am not sure to agree with this , i only hope it could really come true.
472  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to double capital in 2 months? on: November 13, 2019, 06:57:42 PM
in fact, it can happen, you can even double the money you have in one month. but, I strongly do not recommend it. I'm not suggesting that because it's full of risk, even the assets you have can be reduced in a very short time. Moreover in trading, the rush is the most risky thing.
although it is possible, I suggest looking for other ways, such as loans, or things that can cover the debt. after that, you might be able to think of paying off the debt you have with another business. don't take risks when you're in quite a dangerous situation.
this should not be considered as a financial advice at all.

you are in the wrong place if you think you can easily double your money through trading in just a couple weeks or within a month , trading is a place where you can get profit like 10% to 20% monthly realistically and for the records it is as a full time trader .
other than that you could possibly lose everything in trading if you have no money management and simply go trading buy and sell randomly in hopes to get your money doubled , this is not trading anymore .

6 month or so maybe is more realistic target to get your capital doubled.
473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Longest Break You Have On Not Gambling on: November 13, 2019, 06:31:54 PM
Gambling is like an any other bad habit such as smoking, is easy for someone to quit, it's hard for others who quit, then start again, quit again... Someone can quit gamble for the whole remaining life and therefore it is unlikely to be found him on the forum. My longest period was 1 day.
what would be the reason of that others who can quit forever?

i dont think theres such player or gambler that can totally leave the table like that, because most of us find this as fun place and why need for quitting?

anyway we have our own ways of treating this area and i truly believe that you are a gambler as you cant skip a day without playing.
Actually there is but the reason would be not appealing for us to see where people do only quit when they already messed up their lives or shall we
say they f*cked up their finances before they do stop gambling completely. Addiction is really hard to stop but we should really be that discipline
to avoid such situation.Gambling is for entertainment and yes, anyone cant easily leave up the table but as a gambler we should really have
that kind of line where you do "call it a day".
that is sounds like a contradiction for me hehe

you said addiction is really hard to stop and then next suddenly say gambling is for entertainment only , let's say you start to gamble as you treat it as a way to entertain yourself just like any other hobbies you have.
at that moment don't you think you are at risk being addicted to gamble? even it was just for entertainment purpose only, gambling is gambling where the addiction in it very often makes people frustrated nearly madness.

take a break and try to leave gambling forever during the break is not a bad idea at all as an approach, you have tried at least.
474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 12, 2019, 10:32:40 PM
<snip> -no offense- the last time is against manchester city where i think manchester city deserve a draw.
after the ignored handsball and mo salah offside goal , the VAR checking is not helpful at all, klop himself says that nothing perfect we can not expect for perfection in VAR , there a lot of space to improve in VAR implementations.
It seems this was the first time we had issue with VAR.

Man! it's a part of the game now. Salah was not off-side but yes there was a hand ball which City could manage to get a penalty but again this is a part of the game. You can not expect referee to see everything.
In the entire match except last 15 minutes, Liverpool dominated the match and they deserved the win.
it's the first season VAR implemented in the major competition like english premier league .

yet we have loads of controversial decision in the bag and yesterday at the UEFA's annual Elite Club Coaches Forum in Switzerland many managers bring this matter on the table complaining and urgently encourage to pay attention on the VAR vulnerability.
i know referee is only a human who even given 2-3 minutes additional time to review through the video with other 3 referees behind the monitor and make what they call as a "better decision" is sometimes still a bad decision for the one side, pep guardiola is the example who really not happy with the VAR decision .

they said VAR is helping liverpool making those impressive 11 winning and 1 draw this season, will it continue benefit liverpool to realize the liverpool hopeful saying "this gonna be our year?"  Cheesy
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't just an investment, it is the future on: November 12, 2019, 06:43:51 PM
slowly but surely bitcoin will kill the world of conventional banks.
inevitably conventional banks will use the blockchain system in their banking system because conventional bank customer data is still quite vulnerable to hacking.

I don't think that will happen, because the role of the bank is certainly still very much needed, although bitcoin has a good future and has been trusted by many people as a valuable form of investment, but in the future bitcoin will be an alternative tool that can facilitate everyone because along time will certainly be more and more people like the concept of this technology
never forget that Bitcoin is a currency so the chance of killing banks is there, maybe not today or tomorrow but it will happen.

what we need in banks that we cannot have in bitcoin?or rather in cryptocurrencies?and never forget that most of us here divert their investments in bitcoin from banks because we are tired of their policies and doings.people need privacy and the power over their own money that is financial freedom and Bitcoin gave us this.
wrong logic , bitcoin and banks will not kill each other existence.

banks could just be there alongside bitcoin , it is not disruptive at all. people are not ready yet to go 100% decentralized , things are still required some institutions to protect them in centralized ways as they are not get used to it.
the real financial freedom let you do like make a transaction under no regulation but you are the only one who responsible on it, are you ready for that? i don't think so. until that moment bank will always there to stay.

the bitcoin currency system is not fit yet to the current situation where people will not accept a currency with high volatility up and down in price, nearly impossible to implement it now.
476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 12, 2019, 05:35:10 PM
everybody wanted liverpool to get slipped , instead slipped they are unstoppable now.

8 points clear from leicester and chelsea on second and third place is a pretty huge gap , won't be easy for any team to chase liverpool unless if liverpool themselves get hits by injuries which so far they are just fine , luckily.
indeed the curse continue , it seems the ball keep failing landed on the wrong aguero's foot and the wrong time making the shoots undirected and weak i can see that how unlucky aguero at anfield .

Liverpool are unbeaten at Anfield for 900 days now.
This season belongs to Liverpool. I think it's very difficult to beat liverpool now. They are strong on all fronts. Allison Becker has returned and this is adding to their strength. Maybe this season they will lose just once, when they visit Manchester City Stadium.
But Leicester also has a chance of beating them because this season they also look very tough.
such a great records will hard to break but of course there is nothing last forever .

they did not play as good as leicester city good football , liverpool seems get the lucky factor in most of the games that they have won -no offense- the last time is against manchester city where i think manchester city deserve a draw.
after the ignored handsball and mo salah offside goal , the VAR checking is not helpful at all, klop himself says that nothing perfect we can not expect for perfection in VAR , there a lot of space to improve in VAR implementations.

the next liverpool EPL match is against : crystal palace, brighton, everton, bournemouth and watford, they won't struggle with those mediocre teams.
477  Economy / Economics / Re: Can not believe 5 years ago you could of bought one whole bitcoin for this much! on: November 12, 2019, 12:53:50 AM
I believe that many of us periodically think of that time the OP mentions. Even more not about the time 1 btc was 600 USD but much less ,below 100 usd. Just imagine inevesting 1000 usd at the time when btc was 100. Easy at least x100 ROI.
no wonder there is a meme say that there is 4 heaviest objects in this universe.

1. Sun
2. Neutron stars
3. Black holes
4. Your regrets

you will never accept the fact that you have been in the position where you can buy bitcoin as much as 10000 bitcoin and supposed to be a billionaire by now , but you missed that chance as you don't believe in bitcoin.
don't do that , regret will not change you to be better in the future , forget the past .

do buy bitcoin now before it fly to $500000 and you can not afford to get even 0.01 bitcoin!
478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 11, 2019, 11:28:43 PM
with ederson absence? you still think manchester city should win?

I had a slight hope that they are determined to get close in table difference b/w them and Liverpool but guess Liverpool had a good team and really played well yesterday.

BTW Sergio Aguero's saga of never scoring a goal at Anfield continues. He had good chances yesterday.  Grin
everybody wanted liverpool to get slipped , instead slipped they are unstoppable now.

479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think that cryptos such as Bitcoin would be mainstream? on: November 11, 2019, 10:06:48 PM
I was just wondering if one day it would be possible for cryptos such as Bitcoin (BTC) OR Ethereum (ETC) to become mainstream one day for people to use for day to day transactions on a daily basis. Because I heard that the people in Zimbabwe with their economic difficulties use cryptocurrencies as a means of trade.

Would the world adopt cryptocurrency as a means of transaction, what do you guys think?

The reports of Bitcoin fever in Zimbabwe this summer were no doubt exaggerated.

As for the future of day-to-day transactions, I expect Bitcoin fees to rise over the years to compensate for its falling inflation rate. As such, on-chain transactions will become too expensive and uneconomical for your daily coffee and grocery purchases. However, the Lightning Network, sidechains, or cheaper altcoins with lower security could be perfectly economical for low value transactions. So, we'll probably be using protocols other than Bitcoin for most of our day-to-day transactions.
+1

wondering if later in the future bitcoin transaction fee could be as low as a couple cents only, if there is no solution to this then it is a sure thing that bitcoin can not be used as a currency to spend in daily basis , just a digital asset to hold like jewelry.
other than that yes there is a lot of altcoins provide quick transaction proccess , very low fee and easy to use but still the problem is on the price volatility, crypto nature is volatile.

there is a stable coins but most of them charge around 5 uds as a fee, it is not something we wanted.
480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 11, 2019, 08:36:31 AM
Sorry, but
I watched the game
And, statistics are not always right, the perception was different
But at the end, Juve won

Njah....  Sad

Statistics are always right, numbers can't lie.
They can't lie and be influenced by the "sports blindness".

The perception is nothing.

Szczesny did 1 save on Paquetà.
Donnaruma made 1 save on Dybala.

https://onefootball.com/it/notizie/juve-milan-1-0-tabellino-e-cronaca-del-match-it-27970450?variable=20191111

Juventus also scored 1 goal.

Anyway let's see what media will invent this week on the Ronaldo rage for the substitution.

are you sure watch the game? numbers does not always right.

juventus play like a shit , we often see a statistics that says there a lot more shots on the winning team while actually the losing team has more effective chances and better game , in this case in my perspective ac milan played better FYI i am juventus fan.
ronaldo getting old the stamina drained early if you see how he play recently that is why he subbed out , hard to manage a legendary player who at ronaldo age.

dybala should be at the juventus line up more often , he's become a savior for juventus many times.
