Seems odd that someone would ddos such a small pool as Kano. We must be doing something exceptional here.
I wonder if a low level ddos over time would screw with our latency without being detected.
They really left their ass hanging out by ddos'ing right after the block.
Indeed -ck and kano are doing many things right! In fact, I believe the reason we get hit is the better code that -ck and kano have implemented/written for the pool(s) with lower latency than even the SPV/empty block mining numbskull pools can muster. So they have a temper tantrum every time we hit a block - so predictable and petty. Frankly the LAST thing I'm going to do is move my miners anywhere else due to any DDOS attacks like that. What, like I'm supposed to go to their pool instead? Yeah, right. They can KMA! Keep calm and mine on. |

You can use the german site, de.ckpool.org:3333, it has not been a target of any of the ddos attacks. I use it and the solo.ckpool.org as my back-ups.

Yep, all worked flipped to my backup pool, website unresponsive. Just after the block, thats happen a couple times now after a block.....
Like a ddos is triggered when we find a block so we don't get a quick double. Conspiracy anyone  ? Conspiracy... Jealousy... Stupidity... Lots of other words that end in 'y'... |

Hi justme, I'm quite new to the pool also having been on for only a week and a half. I too have been doing much studying as my Engineering geekiness demands before jumping into Bitcoin mining, but if you have the time try to read all 300+ pages of this thread. You will learn much of the genesis of this pool, its growth, its ideals as per the pool's sysops ck and kano, and indeed some of the politics going on between different pools and the philosophies by which they run. Fascinating stuff and well worth your time. AFAIC, this is the only pool to have your hardware pointed to. Set and forget. Cheers, VRobb |

What fans did you decide to use on your s5's? I've already done multiple fan changes on my single s5, and while it's certainly better than the stock screaming jet engine I believe it can still be better.
