I am mining and HOLDING since the long-term view many of us have is that price of BTC will continue to increase over time. If you take that into account, and aren't mining for income, then there's a good enough reason for me.
And, yes, to techno-geeks like myself, it is indeed fun. kinda.

Stupid of them to be so coy with regards to payment. I was looking forward to getting an Avalon and pointing it here, but I don't beg companies to take my money. They shouldn't be making this so difficult, and they still haven't given me any other option than wire transfer, so I guess not.  |

Well whatever is going on they didn't seem to do the most cursory of due diligence, for if they did they would have quickly found out that bank wire transfer is the least likely payment method to be used by BTC miners...DUH!

I had to do some other things so stayed at another pool for a while. I am using the username method now but I don't see where on kano.is after I log in where I put my BTC address.  It's under Account>Settings |

So I emailed the sales department over there and pointed out that to "Grow the Blockchain" one must USE the Blockchain and asked for the BTC address for payment of my invoice. I'm not holding my breath... |

I only ordered 1 but I didn't get any indication of PayPal as an option. Maybe I should ask? EDIT: Come on, 1 more today to put us over the expected number of blocks for November!  Nope, bank wire only. Grow the blockchain indeed, my order is canceled... |

Guess I'm sorta broadcasting my screwup, but oh, well...I'm gonna find out today if one can snag a single good hash board from each of two toasted A6s, and build one good A6. Beats cleaning house. Don't feel too bad, I was ready to get my current S7 up on the pool, announcing it to all, and in my haste to get it up and running used a CPU connector instead of a PCIe connector (looks the same but + and - are reversed) and promptly smoked my IO card and was down for weeks waiting on a new one... SO THERE! Now as soon as the A7(21)s start shipping I should have more hash here again, assuming no smoking is involved...  |
