281  Other / Politics & Society / Re: IS THE USE OF INTERNET MAKING YOU EMOTIONLESS? on: March 20, 2016, 10:27:28 PM
Not waching movies etc. does not mean you're becoming emotionless it might be that thanks to the internet and with how much information is out there you've just started thinking they're shit and don't enjoy them as much. I for instance cannot stand watching television because of the amount of bullshit that is on there, not just general bad quality but blatant misinformation and manipulation going on so it's gotten to the point where I'll switch the television on and I'll it will take is one line from some stupid reporter or the person they're interviewing and I'll immediately want to switch it off.

At least here on the internet we can discuss these subjects openly and people on these television networks who talk such garbage about political and economic issues get criticised to the point that sometimes they even have to respond or more often than not flip out and try to attack other people over it. It's not just you, the internet I think has made more traditional media in general a lot less enjoyable, the upshot to that is I'm going around now finding much more interesting stuff to learn about or new people to listen to or watch who are actually capable of having decent discussions.

I can't believe they've gotten so bad they're even managing to piss off Anarchists here lol even on the An-cap subreddit and so on it's riling people up.

Thinking about buying the Culling, how is it?

It's not a terrible game, but I found the melee combat rather basic as is often the case with these games, it's just a case of block, counter, block counter and the person with the most stamina or times it best will win. I actually asked for a refund because the game is pretty basic and it seems quite similar to Ark the survival with some of the weird graphics it has and how the game loads everything up, probably because of the unreal engine.

If they fix these things though then maybe I'll buy again later but right now it is early access and quite basic.
284  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Up Like Trump on: March 19, 2016, 08:39:22 PM
I love how pretentious and scathing the left are when it comes to Donald Trump they don't realise the more they churn out stupid articles like the above the more people are going to vote for him just to piss them off.

LOL If you ask me it looks like they're pissed off he's better at it than they are.

Don't be an idiot, you can see her turning towards the direction she's walking before she 'disappears' you must remember as well that you're viewing anything on a television or screen on a flat plane so it could well be she was just at the right angle for her to go from the view of the camera entirely.
286  Other / Politics & Society / Re: GAWKER must pay $115mm to Hulk Hogan. on: March 19, 2016, 04:36:27 PM
That video will never go offline people did share it already everywhere.

What it will do though is send a message to publications like these that they will be making very expensive mistakes if they go invading peoples' privacy like this, freedom of expression and speech does not give you the right to invade other peoples' privacy and essentially commit illegal espionage which is what a lot of these horrid stalkerish sites do to celebrities and other public figures.

If these weren't 'news' publications but individuals they would have had court restraining orders filed against them years ago.
287  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Venezuelan state tv talking crap about BTC / 2 miners got arrested for mining on: March 19, 2016, 02:58:02 PM
The situation is worsening by the minute peeps.

The "socialistic" shitty tag we have, yeah, that's utter bullshit... not even close...

We just have a capitalistic totalitarism.... yeah, more like it.

Yeah, NOW you do. Remember how it all started? Oh that's right, socialism. Love how people still defend socialism after it destroys their country.

This is turning into a classic spam tactic now that you see from many socialists, they just post "That's not Socialism" constantly and hope those mean Capitalists will go away and let them take over another country.
288  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Venezuelan state tv talking crap about BTC / 2 miners got arrested for mining on: March 17, 2016, 11:01:13 AM
I'm not surprised, I've hard a lot of bad stuff about Venezula and their economy is utterly shit, they are also pretty much a socialist state, though of course socialists will deny this, it's no surprise they'd try to shut down Bitcoin users because it's evil capitalism.
289  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you see marriage as a business transaction? (Be honest). on: March 17, 2016, 10:11:33 AM
I personally don't, but I know there are lots of women especially the traditionalist sort that do and the law pretty much regards it as a business contract in most countries, but even women who if they saw you had a lot of money would immediately use marriage as a way of getting alimony payments out of you and so on, sorry girls, but it's true, the amount of stories I keep seeing and hearing about tons of horror stories with men who marry. If marriage was a thing which had absolutely no affect on the court system and was simply a change of title acknowledging husband and wife, then I wouldn't be too bothered by it, but as it stands now there's no way in hell I'm marrying just so a woman can marry me and then divorce me when she's gotten sick of me and steal all my money just because she can.

I think marriage is an extremely cowardly and manipulative way a lot of women and society in general use to con or emotionally blackmail men with the promise of sex.
290  Other / Politics & Society / Re: $150 bn lost in tax havens enough to end extreme poverty twice over – report on: March 17, 2016, 10:01:07 AM
I actually came across this pretty funny comic that describes this situation perfectly over on the An-cap subreddit.

http://redpanels.com/86/

What people who make these comments don't realise is that a large amount of our taxes in most countries goes straight to the military, not welfare.

292  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can police take you to the psychiatric hospital with no probable cause? on: March 16, 2016, 10:45:57 PM
Ah sorry my bad, but either way, the hospital would be your best bet, CCTV footage of the entrance and the parking area would stack some evidence up against the police if they were doing something genuinely illegal.
293  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can police take you to the psychiatric hospital with no probable cause? on: March 16, 2016, 10:30:09 PM
If you don't know whether she's telling the truth or not you should check with the local police station first and see if there are any records of what she says, then if there are contact any sort of local lawyer and just try to talk to them about it, they shouldn't have a problem if you're just asking what the hell to do.

By the way, actual records at the station will also be a way of getting the lawyer to take you seriously, I don't mean to dismiss your girlfriends story but if you don't even know what's going on it's down to you to find out for certain what's happening rather than overreact. I find that story a bit odd, you don't know whether or not she was doing something illegal and so on and was just using you to try and get out of it, or perhaps, did she end up getting into a verbal fight with her biological parents and they called the police on her and so on?

fyi, I'm not a lawyer but I think everyone would need more context including the lawyers in how this actually happened if anyone is to help out.

There is prejudice! Who said that islam forbids other beliefs? This is not true.
You can believe in every way however you want. A muslim tells you his religion, its up to you accept or decline. No force no forbid.

Go on, justify it, this should be good Cheesy

You don't get a free pass from criticism just because you're a muslim you idiot, no religion does.
295  Other / Politics & Society / Re: UPDATED: Charges unlikely against Trump over attack by North Carolina supporter on: March 16, 2016, 04:23:56 PM
The problem is Trump isn't hitler, he's an idiot, but wanting to stop illegal immigrants from crossing the border constantly does not make you hitler, it's just a classic labelled and smearing tactics SJWs in particulary like to do to get everybody to stay away.

Yes, building a wall to stop Mexicans crossing into texas is ridiculous, yes, banning all Muslims from entering America is ridiculous as well, but Hitler? Really? The man rounded up ethnic groups into concentration camps and had them all shot or gased, unless you've somehow got evidence that he's planning that it doesn't justify you killing him.

The problem here is that people are constantly trying to equate being against open border policies is somehow akin to being Nazis, which is of course a load of shit, open border policies, especially in countries which don't let people defend themselves properly are an extremely expensive and dangerous idea and we can now just point at Europe as to why it is such an expensive and dangerous idea letting thousands of people in at once without doing any background checks and making sure they aren't terrorists.
296  Other / Politics & Society / Re: UPDATED: Charges unlikely against Trump over attack by North Carolina supporter on: March 16, 2016, 03:59:09 PM
There are so many ways to attack Trump over his policies but the people who go after him are clearly only interested in being violent and throwing insults at him, fucking morons, it just shows you that these people are not interested in political debate at all, I think if this continues then damage will have definitely been done and Trump is pretty much going to win in a landslide because Hilary is just being a walking tumblr feminist which is going completely against her now.
297  Other / Off-topic / Re: Looking for a new game on: March 16, 2016, 03:41:07 PM
Seems you're after city builders and civilisation style games, unfortunately there aren't that many good ones around I've seen, a lot of them just seem to be clones of other games.
Exactly what I like yeah ^^
And turn strategy, that's what I like the most.
But indeed it's extremely hard to find new games. Clones can be good though. Endless Legend is a true clone of civ 5 but with a new universe, new scenario and some new gameplays elements. That made it really great!

Have you tried Cities: Skylines? Or War for the overworld? There's also galactic civilisations which isn't too bad if you're into that sort of thing.

I gonna try galactic civilisations thanks!
But War for the overlord seems just like a HD version of DK2... Is it really better?

It's not much better than Dungeon Keeper 2 but if you liked the game and want to play a proper version that works on modern computers then that's the one to get, they are also adding updates and there's working multiplayer too, along with a map editor, EA has pretty much abandoned support for the original games and are milking it, like they do with all the classic studios they bought up and ruined.

And this is why I always turn automatic updates off, can confirm as somebody I knew was talking about this too and was asking me about it, take control of your own computer and don't install updates unless you know what's actually in them.
