801  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-08-27] Does XT make Mike and Gavin dictators? on: August 29, 2015, 10:24:28 AM
The one thing I will say for definite is I don't understand why if he is that convinced his idea is better that he doesn't simply go and make his own alternate currency to compete with Bitcoin like others have done. This two me raises one or two points. He either doesn't have much faith in it and as other fork attempts have done he is just latching onto the Bitcoin name in order to help it survive or it is in fact a deliberate attempt to try and hijack the currency with his own agenda.

Even if he isn't a dictator now his actions and the actions of the Bitcoin foundation proved that people are indeed attempting their own hostile takeovers of Bitcoin, that much I think is certain to me. It is very interesting though that it is the miners who decide overall whether a fork succeeds or not and it looks like a very good safeguard against this kind of bullshit.

Nonsense,

He does not need permission to implement his ideas. You have a freedom of choice. Just because you dont like his implementation for whatever reason, you should stop making it sounds like he need permission to release his code.

Why would he have to make an altcoin to prove what? Stop being narrow minded prick. Its like telling any group who propose a new rule to form a new nation and go with it.

Stop spilling out nonsense like this so you can be taken seriously.

Yes, how dare I advocate scientific experimentation of multiple societies through democracy rather than creating a glorious single minded empire to rule over everybody I must be a total idiot. That was sarcasm by the way, Gavin has freedom of choice as well, XT supporters do seem pretty fucking eager to force their opinions onto others, this reminds me a lot of the transaction fee situation with miners awhile back with that old fork that didn't go through in the end, a bunch of angry miner spammers telling everybody what to do without really giving any proper reasoning behind it.

Also, he does technically need permission to implement it, that's how this thing gets implemented in the first place, if all the miners support it that's how cryptocurrencies work.

803  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Welcome Back To School! 50+ Girls Brawl At Memphis High School on: August 28, 2015, 08:07:00 AM
Welcome to about 70% - 80% of my school life, by the way, these kids are pussies, this happened after I left but I heard in one of my old schools they had to bring in full riot police to contain a fight in the school playground when a bunch of assholes were trying to attack one person but as it was a school filled with middle eastern asians there were regular fights between ethnic groups when they ran out of white people to try and beat up. The same shit interestingly seems to sort of happen in reverse quite often because there's this other school nearby me that has the opposite mix so naturally people immediately get into fights over that sort of thing there too.

This shit happens all the fucking time so I find it hilarious how all the 'adults' are shocked to learn about it so much later on in life, in general, when you try and force lots of different people into a tightly enclosed space making it illegal to leave they act like cunts to each other.
804  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Students show up to school to find no room in classrooms on: August 25, 2015, 08:59:53 PM
I honestly couldn't have come up with a better reason not to force children to got to school myself but the media and teacher incompetence has done it for me.
805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need the bitcoin foundation to fix the blocksize problem on: August 25, 2015, 09:12:49 AM
Well I ignored them anyway but I didn't realise that they had actually made it easier for me to.
806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the hell are people still selling at these prices? on: August 24, 2015, 11:10:02 PM
Remember what happened last time guys? HODL! HODL YOU FOOLS!!!
807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Just don't fuck it up! on: August 24, 2015, 10:57:33 PM
I'm observing this debate with interest now guys, as I'm poking around I can certainly see both sides of the debate. However don't forget that we are on the eve of one of the biggest economic collapses in history. Please don't fuck up what we have here through petty squabbling and misinformation when everybody who uses Bitcoin can have a genuine safe haven from the collapse and be free for the first time from these carefully engineered wealth transfers that keep happening every few decades.
808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need the bitcoin foundation to fix the blocksize problem on: August 24, 2015, 10:37:25 PM
Have you even read about the foundation lately?!? Roll Eyes Hope this was an ironic post.

No. I haven't read anything about the foundation for a long time, maybe a year. I don't spend much time following that kind of things. Please, tell me more about it. Did I miss something?

That's more comprehensible. The Foundation has been involved in scandal after scandal for the last few months and has been a disservice for Bitcoin. They paid millionaire salaries to themselves and end up "bankrupt" and they are basically dismembered. They do not serve any purpose to Bitcoin, they only serve themselves. They're the last ones that can help with doubts about block size. For all purposes they do not exist anymore.

Wait.... You mean they're finally bankrupt now and we don't have to deal with the arrongace of their self-appointed leadership? Yey!
809  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Genesis Mining allows users to look into the Iceland bitcoin mine on: August 24, 2015, 03:09:26 PM
Genesis Cloud Mining is one of the few I'll vouch for, as you can see they've got their own mining equipment they actually use and I've been using them myself for awhile now.
810  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Genesis Mining allows users to look into the Iceland bitcoin mine on: August 24, 2015, 10:41:11 AM
Yey! Didn't they post photos up before? It's good to see them staying honest, I like how I can actually see my investment Cheesy and yep, I own some hashing power in Genesis.
811  Other / Politics & Society / Re: CEO who raised workers’ minimum pay to $70K hits predictable problems on: August 23, 2015, 06:25:41 PM
Watch anybody who supports this find some way to blame those people who left, oh wait, people are already trying to, some people really don't understand how the real world fucking works until it hits them in the face, much like this CEO.
812  Other / Politics & Society / Re: France train shooting: Europe on high alert after attack by heavily armed gunman on: August 23, 2015, 01:14:36 PM
I'm afraid that we will have such incidents much more in the Europe, unfortunately.

Really? They seem to say this all the time but how many incidents like this actually ever happen? Next to zero. More chance of being stabbed on a night out in Europe by some random drunk dickhead.

Realistically it's true, everybody is being driven to a paranoid frenzy by this shit, they're certainly a threat, no question, but as with anything in the media they exaggerate the fuck out of everything to try and terrify us.
813  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-08-22] Bank of England: Bitcoin is “Harder Money” than Gold Due to Deflati on: August 23, 2015, 11:05:27 AM
It's not even that bad for producers because if everything is deflating then that means they have to pay less to get the materials they need. The only people who bitch and moan about deflation I've discovered are the various people who benefit from price fixing and inflation, so certain sectors like the housing market are a classic example of people who would freak out over deflation.
814  Other / Meta / Re: Being Trolled on: August 22, 2015, 10:43:04 PM
You don't need to do anything dramatic at all, just put him on ignore and if he tries to spam you to get your attention the mods will end up banning him.
815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mike Tyson’s Bitcoin ATM Goes Live on: August 22, 2015, 04:59:53 PM
Looks to me like he's just gotten a standard Lamassu ATM and then put his branding over it, oh well, celebrities do tend to get people to do stuff so meh.

818  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How to search the Ashley Madison leak on: August 22, 2015, 10:31:06 AM
Ruining marriages? These marriages were already fucked, those emails didn't register themselves, while I think any kind of doxxing like this is a concern the people involved in this certainly aren't victims. They're simply corrupt and hypocritical people getting themselves into trouble.

It was only a matter of time.
819  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there any game site to earn bitcoin? on: August 21, 2015, 09:41:02 PM
Nobody is going to give away a lot of Bitcoin for free the most you'll be able to do is earn a couple of fractions at a time as far gambling, well, that's a stupid idea.
820  Other / Politics & Society / Re: North Korea Gets Ready For War on: August 21, 2015, 07:53:55 PM
North Korea is like the British chavs we have over here, they're always trying to pick a fight and will trash talk everybody but in the end they're full of shit, I doubt they'll invade, it's probably going to be Kim Jong Un's way of showing strength for the sake of internal politics. Never forget, for all their nationalism and brainwashing, North Korea is China's bitch, if they step out of line then China would simply cut off support, I doubt they're that closely allied.

It would take something extremely serious to properly trigger a war between north and south Korea again.
