201  Economy / Goods / Re: (WTB) offering BTC for Silver and Gold. on: January 15, 2014, 01:50:18 AM
I'm selling a gram of 999 gold @ spot...look out for my post.
202  Economy / Goods / [WTS] Gold @ Spot on: January 15, 2014, 01:15:19 AM
Hey everybody,
I work in the precious metals industry and anything offered at spot is a rare deal indeed. I am offering my 1 gram 999 Gold Andorra 2 Diners coin at spot. Please refer to the "ask" price at kitco.com for the current spot price (and break out your calculators...there are 31.1 grams in a troy ounce) and preev.com for the price in BTC.
This coin is cosmetically flawless-it has always been stored in a capsule (it will come that way, too). If you are interested please PM me.
Thanks!

(sorry for non-optimal picture quality)

I have two gold assay cards with a bit of history behind them. They were issued the first year it was legal again for private citizens to own gold. Each card contains 10 grains of 999 (24K) Gold. I am asking $15/card, $1 shipping to US and $2 shipping international. If you want both cards, I won't charge for shipping. Gold is on the rise! Please PM me!

205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Is there still a "dark web"? How is its presence/absence affecting speculation? on: January 02, 2014, 01:32:51 AM
Hey everybody,
So of course we all know SilkRoad went down a while ago. I know too now that "BlackMarket Reloaded" is gone. I did a quick web search and it doesn't look like any other similar marketplaces exist (there was a "Sheep Marketplace" but it also went down). Is there any similar site on tor anymore? Will there be? Most importantly, how will this affect BTC speculation does everyone think?
206  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Identifying promising projects for investing on: January 01, 2014, 05:46:37 AM
Being an international investor is very complicated since keeping track of the project and your investment becomes difficult.
Look into your local area for start-up contests or make your own.
Other way is to go into dev communities of the topic you are interested on and see if anyone need help with a project you like.

another recommendation: don't just spend your money on something that you like. Invest in something that will give you profit. If the risk of not turning a profit is too high, don't invest. even if you love the product.
That's no way to live lol
207  Economy / Goods / Re: WTT 1oz gold American Eagle Coin on: January 01, 2014, 02:18:29 AM
I think I will hold off. I had the coin check today to make sure it is real and they said it is great condition and a collector would pay around 2k for it. The pawn shop said they would hand me 1200 so I think a 1bitcoin is just a little low. Thanks for the offers.
I work at such a "pawn shop". There's no such thing as a collectable Gold Eagle. They've only been making them since 1986. And condition is expected to be perfect. Nice try though.

I have nothing to prove to you. If they didn't say that I would still be selling the coin. Take it however you like.

Don't believe the pawn shop at $2000.  If this is a $50 American Gold eagle then 1200_1250 is the value - period.  If its an older $20 gold, then it has potential above its gold value.

Well they said they will pay me 1200 for it then said people will pay 2k for them in that condition. The only reason I take his word is he said he will give me 1200, they wouldn't pay me 1200 if they could only sell it for that. Either way I'm not a coin collector and it makes no difference if its a 500-1200-2000 coin I decided to not sell at this time.

I understand what you're saying - I was simply stating that these can be bought anywhere for 1250-1300 right now so individual sellers should expect spot or spot+ a small amount.  At $2000 they were either blowing smoke or your coins is different/special in some way.  From the darkish photo it looks like every other Eagle in the world.

Best regards.

That is an accurate range. If people at the pawn shop told you that they must not have been very knowledgeable. My guess is [somehow] they confused it with a St. Gauden's-which has nearly an ounce of gold in it and could potentially have addittional numismatic value.

*EDIT: can't tell from the picture-you may actually have a St. Gaudens. Whats the year? And is there a single bird on the back/words around the perimeter of the coin? If so, you have a St. Gaudens.
208  Economy / Goods / Re: WTB Gold on: January 01, 2014, 02:15:27 AM
When you're investing in Gold it's best practice to buy north american 1oz coins.  Just something some guy once said...

Eagles will give you the best return on your investment, but you'll pay the highest premium for them most likely. Maple Leaves are nice because they are 24K coins (some collectors like that). Mexican 50 pesos you can usually get at a low premium-although they are an odd weight.

Krugerrands, Philharmonics and especially Perth Mint stuff are also great ways to buy gold.

I am accepting Bitcoin as payment on select listings within my eBay store which can be found here:

while I determine if Bitcoin is a viable payment option.

Guess you decided.

215  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] Ravenbit DIY Physical Bitcoins on: December 27, 2013, 09:17:26 PM
Nice design/ambition. I can't justify paying $60+ for a coin thats not made of any precious metal. Good luck though!
216  Other / Off-topic / Free iPad Case on: December 22, 2013, 11:03:01 PM
So I recently got an iPad and needed a case. I was in the post office on some unrelated business and saw a brown "Ready Post" padded envelope that looked like it would fit the iPad like a glove (iPad 2)-it does! AND I wrote a fake name/address in the "from" and "to" fields...somebody is a lot less likely to steal an addressed envelope than they are an iPad. I take BART (public transport) all the time too so its great! Just thought I would share.

219  Other / Off-topic / Re: Almost got laid last night, messed up BAD, please help... on: December 16, 2013, 05:58:23 AM
I think any normal male has had a similar experience. Getting hard under pressure is like trying to sleep when you can't...if you look at the clock, you're just going to think "God I should be asleep by now". Same thing when it comes to getting hard-you literally pray to your penis to work for you. The trick is relaxation...but thats easier said than done. I just pretend I'm some stud and the girl is the lucky one. Lol it might actually work for you. But anyways, don't feel bad. For one thing it'll just put a damper on it next time you get laid. Laugh about it, relax and get laid!
