I just walked into an online thrift store. That has to be the most random shop on eBay. Razors to Signed First Editions. Appreciate the entrepreneurial spirit, though!

Nice. Exactly what I was looking for! But I don't see the price for it though. Am I supposed to fill out the info of my company first? Thanks
PVC printers (which is what you are describing-there isn't another printer with the capability to print on "cards" like that) are VERY expensive. I recommend looking into Teslin. Check it out on YouTube or something. You can buy it on Amazon or eBay for pretty cheap. Basically you print whatever you want on a "card" on your printer (ink-jet or laser) on a special type of paper (designed to work perfectly with even just ink-jet printers). Then, you seal it inside a laminating pouch. The lamination is so perfect that you can't even tell its lamination-it just looks like a PVC card. Good luck!

Is that really the profile of Josh from BFL? If it is, have yourself a good laugh and look at his trust ratings. The head of the "top of the line bitcoin mining hardware" company is selling video games via BitMit LOL.

487  Economy / Goods / San Francisco Federal Reserve $400,000 $100 Bills Box Ends on: August 29, 2013, 09:21:01 PM
Hey everybody,

I have something pretty unique available here. They are box ends to $400,000 in $100 bills from the San Francisco Federal Reserve branch. The year is 1977, as you can see from the picture, along with all other info. The San Francisco branch of the Federal Reserve is more exclusive than some other branches.

Frame these with a $100 bill in the middle, use them to stack your hundreds, whatever! They're cool and you can do just about anything with them.

I am asking 0.115BTC for these, including shipping anywhere in the US. If you are international I am willing to ship-just send me a PM.

Thanks!

488  Economy / Goods / My Silver for your Silver Casascius Bitcoin (Preferably 0.5BTC) on: August 29, 2013, 09:49:28 AM
Hey everybody,

I think the new Casascius silver coins are awesome. But I only want 1 just to have. I have plenty of silver to trade, but would rather have the 0.5BTC than the 1BTC.

I have silver in about every form you could ask for.

Please PM me and let's make a deal!

Thanks!
489  Economy / Goods / Re: [FREE] Guide: Make More Money on your Silver Bullion! on: August 29, 2013, 05:24:32 AM
Very interesting. Smiley

So basically trade new generic silver rounds for older, rare, less generic silver?
Generally, yes. Just buy silver at the lowest premium you can. Unless you find an exceptional deal online, you will always pay less for silver in-person, at a brick and mortar shop. The shop I work at offers generic bars and rounds for $1.50 over spot. These could be anything-they might say "Merry Christmas 1975". But, as mentioned, silver is silver. Buy 10 of those and the shop owner will gladly trade you whatever 10oz bar someone has recently sold (I see A-Marks all the time, OPMs almost literally always, Johnson Mattheys and different brands all the time). Everything besides Perth Mint stuff, Silver Eagles, Pandas, Philharmonics, etc are considered "generic silver" and thus sell for the same price over spot regardless of if you buy 10 x 1975 X-Mas bars or a 10oz A-Mark bar, which for some reason people on eBay are willing to pay a mint for (pun intended). Truly I don't understand what goes through the mind of your average eBayer-but I try to take advantage of it!

What people seem to be willing to pay the most for on eBay are brands like Engelhard, A-Mark (Engelhard stopped producing in the '80s, A-Mark started up again but it is their old pieces people want), so old pieces, and less-heard of mints (Academy Silver, Scotia, etc.). They also like anything hand-poured. And finally either odd shapes or weights (like the 10.2oz bar I sold)
490  Economy / Goods / [FREE] Guide: Make More Money on your Silver Bullion! on: August 29, 2013, 02:13:10 AM
First of all, to keep w/forum rules, I'm selling one 1/10oz Silver Indian Round for 5BTC.

Anyways, all I want to do here is inform. Its very simple and you could make more money on your [silver] bullion!

There seems to be a new trend-or at least a new trend- "collecting" bullion. Of course, for years people have collected stuff like Kookaburras and Pandas. But I'm talking about strictly bullion, defined by dictionary.com as "gold or silver in the form of bars or ingots" (take that, trolls). I myself would add rounds to the definition, but thats not important. What I mean is, people REALLY seem to like particular old/poured/branded/oddly-weighted silver bullion. This phenomenon exists AT LEAST on eBay. Considering dollar amounts, there really is no denying it.

Anyways, I work at a coin store, know a bunch of local "coin/bullion characters, blah blah blah.
The bottom line: I would venture to say that 90% of all shops are like this, in that silver is silver when it comes to generic pieces (By generic I mean as opposed to national and/or particular mints like Perth that have always produced pieces at a premium.) And, obviously most of these shops buy and sell things like crazy.

SO, constantly go to these shops, [generic] silver bullion of my own in-hand. Again, since they are always buying, you have NO idea what they might have in stock. Out of 10 trips to the coin store there are probably 2 where you can't find unique generic silver you can make money on. Seriously. This rate seems to be decreasing favorably as silver goes up in price. People dust off the old pieces of silver they bought in the '80's or before and cash it in.

BOTTOMLINE: See if you can trade your generic silver into a more valuable form of generic silver. Then sell! Which pieces of bullion are worth the most? Do your own homework (no offense) : http://www.ebay.com/

Recently I traded an ounce for this piece:
And check out what its going for on eBay ; )

Also, I traded 10 generic bars I bought for $1 over spot (when silver was at about $19) and 2 1/10 fractional pieces (it weighs 10.2oz) for this bad boy (it sold in less than 1 day @ $305 Buy It Now...should have priced it higher, damn it!)

Questions, PM me!
491  Economy / Goods / Re: One of the Coolest [and smart] Ways to "Cash Out" or Store You Wealth on: August 28, 2013, 09:26:42 AM
wow, nice to see a coin collector here.  I used to collect coins and stamps long time ago.
Thanks man! You must be too?
Thanks to the others above me for the kind words, too.
Can you guys let me know one more thing-what price range are you looking at?

Also, I should have said, but the "Colombian Coin" is a US coin. Its a commemorative half-dollar that came out during the World Fair Exposition in 1893.

@djjacket: You obviously know what you're talking about. I'll send you some [closer-up] pictures.
EDIT: It  definitely has a noticeable amount of its original luster. I compared to a BU Franklin.

So lookout for more US Silver coinage soon.
Thanks!

I'd like to buy some bars, but also interested in rounds and coins. The design does not matter to me. Though for something like a 100g+ bar a CoA would be nice, shouldn't be a problem with Metalor ect..

Ideally I would like 0.999 fine bullion, but I am open to any junk too (pre 1947/1920) or even US junk silver.

494  Economy / Goods / [WTS/T] 5 X 2013 Australian (Perth Mint) "Koala" .999 Silver, 1ozt on: August 27, 2013, 10:13:28 AM
Hi everybody.
Recently I acquired a bunch of (5) Australian 1ozt Silver Koalas by Perth Mint. They are in literally mind condition-kept in mint packaging, never opened them.

Silver is touted as "climbing to the moon". In my coin shop (where I work some times), I am surprised at how many people are cashing in their gold for silver. It happens about 3+ times a day (small transactions included). So obviously, silver is a good thing [no shit-I'm just being a salesman ; )]

Anyways, the 5 Koala 1oz coins I have are produced by Perth Mint. Their bullion carries some of the highest premiums out there. This is because there's the "collection" factor. Each year, there is always a Koala coin, but it has a different design on it. Their Kookaburra has been produced since 1990. So, early pieces are extremely expensive/desirable.

The Koala has only been around since 2007. But, earliest issue are already carrying a GOOD premium. The best way to check out this stuff is to look on eBay and see what people are bidding on and for how much. Anyways, since this seems like it will be a piece just like the Kookaburra in terms of premiums for earlier years. The Koalas are only 6 years from the first year they were minted. On the other hand, the Kookaburra has been around for 23 years and counting.  If you have any common sense I need not say more!

Anyways, I would like to TRADE. Do you have any cool 1oz bullion pieces? What else do you have to offer?

I will probably sell some of these just for BTC. I'll put an accurate price up ASAP, but for now you can just PM me your offers.

Thanks!

497  Other / Off-topic / What do you guys think of a Eric Eoin Marques/Tor/Deepweb 1oz Silver Round? on: August 26, 2013, 07:02:31 AM
The arrest of Eric Eoin Marques recently had me thinking about making a "Tor" or "deepweb" type of 1oz silver round. Do you guys think it'd be a good idea? Or would it be perceived as a silver round promoting child pornography? That's certainly not what I'm going for. What I have so far is rough. But if you guys think a round like this would be a good idea, let me know and I'll try to develop it. If anyone wants to help/contribute, please PM me! I'll send you the files I have in high-res.

498  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] How to Ship ANYWHERE via trackable USPS-Literally THE CHEAPEST (0.03BTC) on: August 26, 2013, 06:09:52 AM
You guys are just .03 BTC away.
If you are saying that a cheaper option is FULLY tracked end to end then you are probably wrong.

"End to End" tracking IS available. So you are wrong. No, maybe not to parts of Africa (too bad because I have tons of customers from Malawi), but to certain "first world" countries.

So really have some pretty bad logic there.  You have been proven wrong even with your own writing and still are calling others wrong.

ANYWHERE <> "certain first world countries"
I already gave you credit for being the "Technicality King". Also, I am just taking your word on that...I'm convinced I'm able to ship to just about every country in the world, but listing the countries I can't ship to might give you a clue as to the method (not like you'd figure it out anyway though).  I'd be curious to see how often the average person mails anything to any of the countries you say supposedly are not supported. I for one can say that I have never had to mail  ANYTHING to anywhere on the entire continent of Africa, only a handful of countries in South America, and only a couple in the Middle East.

Also lets not be mistaken-you were wrong.

I'm done with this pissing contest. You can continue to ship the way you do and pay the [higher] price you pay. I'll use my method, the one I've been using for years, and save more than you on postage. If anyone else is interested in the way I ship, just send me a PM!

Again.  You do not know the meaning of the word ANYWHERE.  And you have not pointed out where I am wrong.

Lol whatever man, you are the semantics champion!
499  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] How to Ship ANYWHERE via trackable USPS-Literally THE CHEAPEST (0.03BTC) on: August 26, 2013, 03:26:15 AM
No chance for something similar for Canadians? Sad
I'm sure there is. Although obviously it wouldn't be through USPS. The method just involves "manipulating" eBay, if you will. If you can buy international postage via eBay Canada, I'm sure you can get it for cheap through them, too. Give it a try, let us know.

This was "the method". I suppose its universally applicable to eBay Canada, Australia, etc. (although probably not Somalia, as has been pointed out, unfortunately ; (
***
This method revolves primarily around manipulating eBay (or "feeBay", in which case it makes me happy to do). I'll list the method in steps.
1. An eBay and PayPal account (both free) are required.
2.  Considering you are accepting PayPal as payment for shipping instead of Bitcoins, its quite easy (If you want to accept Bitcoins, you can set up another eBay and PayPal account. Create a virtual card for free-this works just like a credit card which is needed for a PayPal account: <https://www.mangomoney.com/what-is-mango>. Sell the item with the secondary eBay/PayPal account and buy it with your [primary] real account for 99 cents-or less even-lol, free shipping obviously, and proceed to purchase the postage on eBay.) Simply make a "dummy listing". Make it for the amount you want to charge your buyer for shipping (plus some since you will be charged the final value fee-this can automatically be deducted from your PayPal balance so its quite easy). Have your buyer buy the dummy listing (shipping will be covered, plus whatever you added in order to cover eBay fees or even make a profit).
4. If your buyer is paying for shipping directly by buying the dummy listing, be sure to list the dummy item directly prior to when they're ready to pay, or just list some ridiculous item that no one would pay even 99 cents for lol.
5. When listing the item, obviously make domestic or international shipping available (depending on where you are shipping) for free. Not to confuse things, but if you want, if the buyer is buying the dummy listing directly, you can charge less for the item and more for shipping. eBay fees are so hard to figure out that you could possibly be saving a bit of money this way.
6. Now that an item has been purchased with PayPal on eBay, you can use their incredibly reduced-rate shipping (take that, eBay)!
7. As soon as the item is paid for, next to it will be the option to "print shipping label". Make sure you choose "USPS First Class International (or not if its domestic) Package/Parcel Post".
8. Weigh your package and select the corresponding amount. To keep international shipments cheaper (and help your buyer avoid taxes/duties), list the item for less than its actual value and choose "Gift". Also, as far as descriptions go, be vague. For example, if I'm sending a coin/silver round, I list the item as "Collector's Edition Disk" (not even really lying!). Making it appear as though what is inside is of lesser value than it really is must help thwart theft, too (not that I have EVER had a problem with that).
9. Proceed and pay for shipping. Print your label out. If it is international, be sure to sign and date it. Affix the label to your package.
10. If your package is less than 13oz (even if it is international), stick it in one of those blue mailboxes and you're done! If it is over 13oz, just go to the Post Office and hand it to a clerk…you're done!

If you guys have any questions, please feel free to ask!

500  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] How to Ship ANYWHERE via trackable USPS-Literally THE CHEAPEST (0.03BTC) on: August 26, 2013, 03:22:42 AM

I guess we have a winner-in a way. Rates via my method are sometimes cheaper. All it involves is charging a certain price for something on eBay and having the recipient buy it (pay for shipping). Or, if you want to do it yourself, you just use another eBay account and set up a PayPal account with a "virtual credit card" since one is required for a PayPal account anyway. You sell from that account and buy with your real account (the one a real card is tied to or at least has a balance in it). What I covered up was "Pitney Bowes". PayPal has a shipping agreement with USPS. And as was mentioned earlier, PayPal essentially is eBay (they are owned by the same entity). Since you're using eBay, PayPal gives you better rates on shipping in certain instances (honestly I'm not sure what the entity "Pitney Bowes" is, but discounts seem to come through them).
The idea, too, was to have the buyer easily pay for shipping. Using your method you'd have to set up an invoice and send it to the buyer if you were to take payment in the form of PayPal.
One might bring up the issue of "fees" on eBay. Unless you are a serious seller on eBay, you are allowed plenty of "Buy it Now" listings each month, at no charge. You are charged a final value fee, but if you set an item up as "Buy it Now" and make it a quarter (you could probably even make it a cent, I've never tried), your final value fee isn't much ; )
And you can't say this involves "abuse" of eBay. Who cares if you want to sell an item for 25 cents with free international shipping? No rules against that.

I appreciate your work in actually showing me the fruits of your labor...instead of reading the fine print on USPS.com all day and throwing useless technicalities at me (you can't ship to Africa? Damn.) . I humbly applaud you.
