681  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling Domain Name on: June 12, 2013, 11:05:28 PM
I played the domain name game when GoDaddy was offering them for 50 cents each. I bought about 20, I've sold about 5. They paid for all of them, plus about .5 BTC profit. Domain names (no matter how good) are tough to sell. Good luck though.

I have the Trivium now and just ordered the AG-47. I want to have the set.
683  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Find and Buy me a 1994 North Korean Kim Il Sung 1oz Silver Coin=1 Casascius coin on: June 12, 2013, 01:54:42 AM
Update:  Nothing yet.  I finally got around to visiting some coin stores here in Seoul.  I went to an underground shopping mall that has the largest concentration of coin shops in Seoul and visited 6 or 7 there.  The shop keepers all took one look at the picture you provided and pretty quickly said they didn't haven't.  My Korean isn't great, but from what I saw I'm pretty sure most of them recognized what the coin is and had a kind of "good luck kid" response.
If I get another chance I will keep looking.

lived in South Korea for a while. you will never, EVER find one of these coins in South Korea -- at least not in a coin shop.
not surprising. I check eBay often. There's not many of them out there. Did you know that North Korea only had enough gold to release 21-1oz rounds this year?
684  Economy / Goods / Re: Would anyone be interested in buying Monster Energy drinks for BTC? on: June 12, 2013, 01:51:46 AM
They sell full-size Monsters at the grocery store near me 4/$5
685  Economy / Goods / Anybody in SoCal (San Diego) Like St. Pauli Girl Beer? on: June 12, 2013, 01:29:02 AM
Then its your lucky day. I bought this a while ago at a thrift store for $10 cause it was too cool to pass up. Unfortunately I have no place to put it-its meant for a home bar or something. If you're interested and live in San Diego, PM me...I just want to get what I paid for it ($10). Cash, BTC, LTC, trades...I'm open to most offers.

Its truly vintage, not a recreation or anything. It looks like it was imported by some company in New York. I Googled them and it looks like they've had thir doors closed for a long time.

Its about 2.5' long and a little over 1' tall...and obviously the blue is chalk-board like

686  Economy / Goods / Re: [SMALL] Group Buy for new Casascius Product? on: June 12, 2013, 12:34:34 AM
Sorry, haven't been paying attention to this. I would be willing to organize this. One thing thats important to know is how much these things weigh. I can ship up to 13oz internationally for $7.50. Might need to do international shipments in 2 packages. Also, I would like to limit this to 5 people-the first ones who said they'd be willing to take 100.
As far as stickers go, I plan on just buying some address labels, print a QR code on them and sticking that on the back of the coin. Could cover it with a holo but I probably won't. I'm going to make up some business card type things saying what these are and leave them for tips when I go out to a bar or something. I'll load a small balance on them.

Red Bull (sugar-free) and I would be.
688  Economy / Goods / Re: Bodybuilding Supplements on: June 11, 2013, 09:42:29 AM
I am VERY happy. urbanmuscle sent me multiple free samples. I haven't tried one yet, but I have Vanilla, Chocolate and Banana (my favorite). I'm planning on trying the vanilla tomorrow.
Anyways, this is a great site. And even if they didn't sell samples I would have probably bought from them. Now I know I will!

Thanks again, guys!

**Edit: Vanilla tasted great-mixed it up with some skim milk and frozen bananas, it was just like a milkshake. Very satisfied.
689  Economy / Goods / Re: Custom iPhone 4S / 5 Case on: June 10, 2013, 07:35:27 AM
Cool idea, and no offense, but how can we tell these won't come out looking tacky? Seems reminiscent to faces silk screened on clothing; like "Rest in Peace" to your Uncle John shirts w/his photo on the back?

and to clarify, by "tacky" (if you didn't get a clear enough idea from the referenced "Uncle John T-Shirts") I mean heavily grained, lacking color, etc.

P.S. Sorry about your Uncle
690  Economy / Goods / [WTB] PVC Card Paper Wallet w/Slots to Generate my own Address and Priv Key on: June 09, 2013, 03:59:47 AM
Does anybody sell such a thing? How would it work? I know PVC cards can only be printed on with PVC printers (which cost A LOT). What about Teslin? If someone designed a cool card then included stickers for an address and private key to be added by the user. Then the user laminates the card themself? Or does lamination of teslin require a machine?

692  Economy / Goods / [WTS] VARIETY of Coin Cases-For Your Silver/Gold Coins of Different Sizes on: June 08, 2013, 11:20:55 PM
I deal with coins A LOT. Not just Bitcoins, real coins-I'm a big collector.I also stack silver and gold (as much as I can afford).
I literally have bags of just coin related stuff. I dug through them and found some empty hardshell cases in pretty good shape. They're all mostly standard size. I found some 1oz Silver bar hardshell cases, too. Also, I have some plastic coin flips of archival quality and some cardboard Mylar flips. AND finally I have a limited number of cases for 1BTC/5BTC Casascius Coins (fit any series) and 0.5BTC coins. I've ordered more and should have them in stock soon.

I'll just list what I have. If you're interested, PM me and we'll work out a price (trust me, I'm not trying to make much off of these lol).

*1/5/.05 Casascius Coin Cases
*Standard 1oz Silver Round Cases
*American Silver Eagle Case
*standard 1oz Silver Bar Cases (fits all brands)
*REALLY small cases (for 1 gram Gold coins)
*Certain Silver Dollar Cases (Morgan, Ikes, etc)
*1/10 Silver Round cases
*Mylar Flips (most sizes-US)
*Archival Quality Plastic Flips (two pockets-one for coin, one for description behind coin)

PM me if you're interested in any of those!

Also,

Bitcoin town is now Mason Town, no vote, no questions. That is my brothers name.

See this? This is dumb. Here I was all defending you (even though I don't like you) by tracking you back to your primary persona while people were going "Hahaha, idiotic sob story that we've seen a thousand times". So people saw me vouching for you and thus were all "Ok, this is a real thing, let's not make fun of it for the next 120 minutes". And then you go ahead and do something like this? Really? No, hell, REALLY? How fucked up is this? Do you even think about these things before you do them? Do you think anyone, do you think any single fucking person is going to trust you now? Dude, you've got great ideas, but do yourself and everyone else involved a favor and lay off the weed.
+1 (I never thought I'd see the day)
699  Other / Off-topic / Are you a University Student? (You don't have to be!) Would you advertise BTC? on: June 08, 2013, 12:22:14 AM
Since no one person would really benefit from a massive marketing campaign for bitcoins, I believe the only way knowledge of it will spread is via urban, grassroots marketing. And considering BTC is decentralized, P2P, etc, it only makes sense that the way to advertise them is by relying on the enthusiasm of believers of bitcoin.

I mention universities because they are highly-concentrated areas of intellectual young-people-which is sort of the archetypal bitcoiner. However, advertising anywhere will attract attention.

I think the only "rule" that should be in place for advertising Bitcoins is that there is no defacing of anything (example: graffiti), or engaging in any sort of advertising that would cast a negative picture of bitcoins.

Other than that, anything goes. I have posted countless pages on bulletin boards of my university that contain nothing but a QR code (they were all printed on highlighter-green paper). I figured if people saw them enough times, they would become curious and scan the code with their phones. Some QRs led to bitcoin.org, to this forum, to casascius.com, to other Bitcoin-related sites, and even some Instawallet (when it existed) accounts with a small balance in them.

These are just examples. Be creative. Why advertise bitcoins? Its pretty simple-the more people that know of them, the larger the demand, increasing the value of our coins. Plus, I believe in bitcoin as more than just a currency-its a potential solution to economic issues that exist today and will persist in the future.

If every member of this forum told one new person about bitcoins every day, that would be pretty damn good.
700  Bitcoin / Mining / $ Help Me Build a Small Rig $ on: June 07, 2013, 08:45:31 AM
So here it is,
I'm not a n00b on the forums, but I would even classify myself as a sub-n00b in the mining forum. So bear with me, I'll be as concise as possible

I would pay you up to one bitcoin if you could deliver:

**BUDGET: $100 USD +/- $10 USD**
1. List of parts needed/where to get them
2. Skype while I assemble it
3. Teach me how to use it to mine litecoins

If you're interested, please PM me!
