81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM in a gas station on: March 16, 2021, 06:12:32 PM
Quote
“I just assumed there was demand and people wanted bitcoin everywhere,” said Quad Coin founder Mark Shoiket, who flew to Montana after scanning a U.S. map for bitcoin ATM deserts.

yes, literally. they want bitcoin, not cashing it.  Grin

Fees range from 6% to 20% of a total transaction
and is it includes the bitcoin transaction fees? because these 6-20% fees are insane.
there's no information about the lower and upper limit for the transaction.

IMO, a bitcoin ATM at a convenience store or gas station is more for consumer users, who are there to buy something with bitcoin because they don't have cash.
a crypto POS app could be more suitable for these transactions.
but I am not sure if they can get cash with POS.
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoins dropped to $9.50, would you sell everything? on: March 16, 2021, 05:36:59 PM
I've got emotional for seeing this topic. The price has gone up to insane levels in 10 years. The new ATH is over 60K dollars now which is really unbelievable when you compare it with the price many years ago. I wonder, years from now, what kind of a conversation we will have.  Grin

me too. but it's more like.. "wooo.. I have a post at a thread where the bitcoin OG have a conversation about bitcoin price in 2011". lol
someone who read this post in the future,.. HI GUYS!  Grin
I remember the first time I read about bitcoin in 2012, I thought it was a coin for a game. you collect it by playing a game and find a buyer who plays the same game too. what a dumb.

83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my first Bitcoin and am happy on: March 16, 2021, 05:04:49 PM
-snip-

I bought around $8k in 2018 on average I think.

If I'm honest, I also have shares that have gone up almost much as Bitcoin, mainly in technology and biotechnology.

I am pretty well diversified anyway.

good for you, it's more than +600% of the profit.
it must be tough to hold it for 3 years during the bearish.
do you have any calculation on that 5%? why did you sell 5% from your holding?
if I am not mistaken there's a "4% rule", I wonder if you did something like that.

85  Economy / Economics / Re: Dorsey to donate his 1st Tweet benefits to charity on: March 16, 2021, 03:13:16 PM
the highest bid is still $2.5M by @sinaEstavi.
not sure who is he. but according to his twitter profile, "CEO at @Bridge_oracle & @Cryptoland_en"
seems like Justin Sun really wants it lol.

since this tweet already announced for charity, big companies should try to join this race. it will be good for their branding.

wait, where are those people who bought random art for an expensive price? now it makes sense that NFT is full of market manipulation  Grin

86  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 16, 2021, 02:34:25 PM
Does anyone think MonchenGladbach has any chance at all? I mean City are so crazy here that is true and they cannot stop scoring but they also lost to United 2-0 and this is all Gladbach need to do, score 2 goals.

And we know they have done it in UCL,,, why not tonight right? Odds also say bookies think it is not impossible:)

I have a feeling that Real Madrid or Man City could be out from UCL tonight.
most likely it would be Real Madrid. No statistic attached, just feeling.
but, Atalanta won against Liverpool in an away match. remember?

Real Madrid 2.24
Draw 3.68
Atalanta 3.08

having that odds for a home match against a "not so top" serie A team means not good for Real Madrid.

Manchester City 1.22
Draw 6.8
Borussia Moenchengladbach 12.4

87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice games on: March 16, 2021, 01:50:37 PM
personally, I don't like online dice games. It's pure luck.
I prefer the crash games among the others. despite it has 1.0x as the lowest outcome, we could still control our bets.
the reason we lose only for being greedy  Grin

every time I read about dice game strategy, I think it's not a strategy of dice game itself. but a strategy to make the provably fair system confused.

I had bad luck when I played dice games.
I bet for 1.09X multipliers, basically, it's 1/10 chance to win.
every time I lose, I multiplied my bet x10. I got 5 loss after that  Grin
I am not sure what provably fair means when there's no fair on online dice games. Grin
88  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Internet connectivity - Gambling wins/losses on: March 16, 2021, 12:31:40 PM
I've never had any issue with the internet connection that affecting direct win/loss.
I only lose the chance of winning. for example, on a crash game. almost every 1.0X outcome will be followed by a higher multiplier than 1.0X in the next round.
I wait for the 1.0X then I place a bet. but when picking a bet, my internet connection is not stable, which affecting my bet became invalid. then as expected in that round, high multipliers occur.
so, will you count this situation as a loss?
89  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading your strategy on DEMO is a waste of time on: March 15, 2021, 04:41:41 PM
yeah, couldn't agree more with you.
we need to control our emotional and psychological aspects doing a trade. so far, it's the hardest part for me.
it's like you have 2 working minds inside your head. you have to follow one of them. it's difficult to define which one is better in giving you options.
even if you are really good in fundamental or technical, bad psychological conditions could lead you to a loss.

IMO, a Demo account aims to give you a chance to learn how to use the trading platform, not how to trade.

but he said, "Remember this tweet when it’s at 8,000."
possibly he already set a price target for that. I believe he already sold some.

he looks arrogant, but I like the way he talked. It energized me Grin

91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Favourite coin so far on: March 15, 2021, 03:49:15 PM
I can see many people talk about Binance Smart Chain and Cardano here.
even my friends who are new to this cryptocurrency universe bought ADA and BNB.
Personally, my favorite token will still ETH, despite the gas fee is too d*mn high right now.
Ethereum is like the Bitcoin Guardian. It keeps blockchain gains interest because it can be used to develop real-life blockchain products to solve some real-life problems. It helps Bitcoin to be in a safe place too.
Now, ethereum is getting older, some project like BSC and ADA wants to take its position. both of them offer lower fees and faster transactions. however, ETH is still there and always be there below Bitcoin.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TOKEN ALICE will be listed in Binance the 15 mars !! good trade everyone ;) on: March 15, 2021, 03:19:55 PM
the current price is $22.7, ATH so far $60, already +22733.60%.
what makes this token so special actually? I saw many people talk about it on telegram group.
I am not sure if they just trying to shill or being objective.
I just see My Neighbor Alice as a game. What makes it different from any other blockchain-based builder game?
is it just because of the "Binance" tag?
the market is really wild, stay safe on that market  Grin
93  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: most amazing picture I have ever seen on: March 15, 2021, 02:53:19 PM
it happened to me too. almost in 90% of my trading activity.
please let me know if you want to sell some coins in the future, so I can hold mine, like a reverse signal Cheesy
LOL
I like the sarcasm. FYI, I have sold some ADA at $1.035 a few weeks ago and then the price went over $1.50 in the next few days :-D

So, if you have ADA then hold them :-P

PS: Those ADA were a sudden discover on the other day. I did not know that I had those. They were bought in last January 2018 and I forgot about them all those days until a few weeks before I sold them.

I've sold my MANA tokens at $0.65 each.
just a few hours before it hits the new ATH at $1.18.
I bought it at $0.39. I should get more than 300% if I did nothing.
Silence is gold, but doing nothing is diamond.

I should remind you earlier about it, so you can take advantage by activating the reverse signal from me  Grin
94  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much did you make in Bitcoin trading? on: March 15, 2021, 01:58:07 PM
-snip-

^ How lucky you are bud, it looks like from scratch and now you have gained too much from trading.
Unluckily, we are not the same, I stop trading during a pandemic because I have a priority job (I am a frontliner) than doing in crypto trading. But now, I did not regret it because I saw my portfolio increase the value of my holding, since then I accumulate BTC and other altcoins that affordable to purchase. During this bull run, trading and holding are probably the same way of gaining profit. If you bought BTC last year, that is a big profit now.

yeah, trading is time and mind-consuming, it's difficult to focus on your main job seeing your portfolio up and down drastically. I have been in that kind of situation, and it ruined my workflow. hodling is the best way you can do if you already have the main job. buy, forget, and back to work.
however, I have to earn more during this pandemic due to covers my family expense. I am the only one who still can works because most of my family members are tourism workers. sometimes I speculate too.
95  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Art record! 69M for a Beeple on: March 15, 2021, 05:43:45 AM
-snip-

How do you know they're not collectors, and how you classified someone as collectors?
As far as i know, collectors also sell and buy unique things. Yes true NFT can be anything, but i think there's need some rule to classified NFT.

I define collectors are those people who collect something as a hobby. they collect it not because of the hype. interest, artistic value, and rarity aspect on that things are more important.
NFT could be bought and sold instantly, collectors most likely won't do it. at least they want to enjoy the art first.

Buyer of $69 million Beeple NFT is a crypto investor using the pseudonym Metakovan
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/03/12/buyer-of-69-million-beeple-nft-is-a-crypto-investo-metakovan.html

IMO, you can make complex art that has high artistic value, but still, NFT with random art with big names behind it and price manipulation will still win.
96  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sources of information on: March 14, 2021, 04:10:11 PM
Currently, I used some information from these sources:
- coinmarketcap.
- twitter, just to check the hype.
- cointelegraph.
- coinmarketcal, to know some upcoming events.
- telegram group, only a few groups with real discussions.
- youtube, coin bureau youtube channel.
97  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much did you make in Bitcoin trading? on: March 14, 2021, 03:45:16 PM
I started with zero since the pandemic situation began. now I have around 5k I think, and I’ve already spent 8k from that zero. However, all of it is not my trading profits. I got it all by hanging around on this forum.
I also got some airdrop by doing a trade in an exchange. It’s really worthed.
Can’t calculate my trading profits in bitcoin, because I started it with zero since the last few months. And one thing, my trading skills gives me less profits than my skills on doing nothing (hodl).
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shall I HODL DOGE? on: March 14, 2021, 03:01:19 PM
There’s no implementation to limits the dogecoin’s total supply yet. Let see what will happen in the future.
At least dogecoin holders can take advantage from elon musk. I am sure Tesla would accept dogecoin in the future. Or at least his another company, “the boring company” most likely to accept it in the future, because it’s more relevant with the spirit. Dogecoin is worthed if you are an enthusiast. Sometime you just need to crypto and chill. dogecoin is the real “NFT” for meme lover. However, I expect the unexpected from this coin.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are NFT Tokens booming? FOMO? on: March 14, 2021, 02:33:34 PM
I have no idea about NFT market right now. It’s like a gambling or HYIP. The FOMO aspect is really high on this field.
Personally, I will be more interested in NFT with some special features, instead of a random useles graphic.
Pardon me, but I am not trying to undervalued art. I respect the art aspect on NFT, but the market could make it worthless in value of art. The hype is just for the price, not the art.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest on: March 14, 2021, 02:03:52 PM
What do you mean by temporary investment? Do you have any specific duration for that?
Some people could say 5 years is a short time for investment.
But according to investopedia, many short-term investment coverted into cash after 3-12 months of investment.
Let say you are in for that 3-12 months period.
Then, I can say ETH and BNB could be anice choice. ETH could be over $2K soon.
Also be active on searching alt gems that will launch presale or IDO.
I have my on watchlist, but won’t share it because I dont want people to take it as a financial advise and jump blindly.
