361  Economy / Services / Re: Job offer on: December 09, 2020, 10:47:52 PM
your thread about this job offer on the German local board was marked by the moderator (@mole0815) as a scam.
members here should be aware of this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5297405 before accepting your offer.
you need to add more details about this job. will the money be escrowed? can you confirm that this is a legal thing?
362  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling Itunes Gift Cards on: December 09, 2020, 10:30:19 PM
I think you should move this thread to the "Digital Goods" board,
here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=93.0
I usually saw a similar offer like this on that section.
also, let people know the price of your gift cards on the first post.

363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 08, 2020, 08:10:51 PM
#pogbye hastag was on trending today lol  Grin
Most of the reaction on twitter seems really pro to let pogba out.
As a united fan, I am okay if he leave United in january. I agree with most of the comment here, he seems not suitable for EPL, mostly for United. His strong ability is to keep and control the ball, unfortunately he overdid it like he can’t release the ball as soon as possible. it made the flow really slow and became boring. It happened alomost every match.
However, I think Pogba will play important role this month, because EPL is really busy in December.
364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People still don't know about Bitcoin on: December 08, 2020, 07:07:32 PM
If top tier countries still facing this problem, you can imagine how most of the people in a third wolrd country like indonesia have no idea what is bitcoin. Internet means facebook, instagram, tiktok, and youtube here.
They think bitcoin is like a cheap trash, that we can collect by spamming other people with invite code  Grin

IMO, the best way to introduce bitcoin is to make it featured/attached on a popular thing first.
I wonder if bitcoin can be introduced by featuring it on a popular series like Startup. It is popular among teenagers and adult in here. it’s also relateable.  Grin
365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos and Sportsbooks missing from Bitcointalk? on: December 08, 2020, 06:25:07 PM
You may consider adding Planetofbets site to the list, because it's an old "well-known" website back then.

I've played on Planetofbets (sportsbook and casino) with Liberty Reserve and Perfect Money since 2012.
It's good that they are now accepting cryptocurrency. They have Curacao betting license too.
However, one thing that irritates me is that you need to create a different account for a different kind of cryptocurrency that you want to use for deposit/withdrawal.
366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: December 08, 2020, 05:01:38 PM
Today's matche are not necessary for Barcelona and Juventus team. Because both teams have already been selected for the next round. Still, I think Barcelona will win today. And Messi will be able to score goals today.

not sure which match should I watch tonight.
since the group was announced, I really want to watch the "el-MessiDo".
But my favorite team Manchester United will play a sudden-death match at Red Bull Arena.
actually, I have a not-so-good feeling for this team, expecting at least a draw tonight.
while expecting a draw for United vs Leipzig, it would be an epic night if Istanbul Basaksehir can play all out against PSG and can win the match. Nothing to lose for them.
367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the biggest threat to Bitcoin? on: December 08, 2020, 04:21:05 PM
But they would be harmless if that is the case.

We've been here for a very long time and the fact that we're just making jokes about those people saying Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are scam. These people won't do anything to harm bitcoin, the fact that the price is still increasing while they continue their Ponzi ideas about Bitcoin. If it is a body of a government, that could affect but not a threat.

yeah, we made jokes about them every time.
however, this community is too small compared to the number of those people, who are misleading about bitcoin.

George Carlina said,
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.
not saying that they are stupid, but they have their own point of view about bitcoin.
What if the government comes from this kind of people? or let say their advisor?
it could be a threat, right?
368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Adoption: Universities now Accepting Bitcoin for Tuition Payment? on: December 05, 2020, 11:57:15 PM
This is a good news for the crypto adoption on a mainstream sector. But I am not sure if using bitcoin is a good choice to pay tuition payment. Because bitcoin become an asset now. That is something that you expect to grow.

“Di you know that I paid 4 million usd for my degree?”
“How come?”
“I used bitcoin back then”

This could be the dialogue for the future.  Grin
369  Economy / Goods / Re: Cool Bitcoin Poster for Sale! on: December 05, 2020, 11:36:10 PM
I like the poster, but it’s already unavailable when I visit the link. I understand that it’s been a while since you posted this thread. It might be sold already.

But I just want to know if there is still a chance  Grin
Is it a physical poster? If it is a digital poster, could you re-sell it?
370  Economy / Services / Re: Cryptocurrency & Blockchain News Writers :-* W-A-N-T-E-D! :-* on: December 05, 2020, 11:11:18 PM
No offense, but your domain age is less than 1 year. The alexa rank, domain authority, page authority, is not that good enough yet.
It would be better if you have a clear information about the stats on this thread.
So people would know the exposures that they could expect from your site.
Another suggestion, RSS feeds might be good to grab from your writer partner’s websites.
371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not Sure On Whether To Buy Crypto Or Not? on: December 05, 2020, 10:48:54 PM
When it comes to stocks market, people would buy stocks from a company that they belive has a good fundamental. So, no matter the price goes up or down, they will buy it regularly.

Bitcoin is more speculative. However, some people treat it like a stock. Buy bitcoin regularly while they can, and averaging the price.

But I believe more crypto holder (mostly trader) in this space are not really care about the fundamental. No reason needed, except the hype and technical analysis. that is why we saw many useless coin/token out there.
372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 05, 2020, 10:25:39 PM
Everton slowly sinking. December will be a nightmare for them.
They will play against Chelaea, leicester, arsenal manchester united (EFL), manchester city lol.

west ham 1 - 3 Manchester United

once again Bruno fernandes did some magic and Pogba scored a great goal. bruno fernandes is an extremely important player in manchester united and 3 minutes Mason Greenwood scored the second goal. honestly I can't believe that west ham is losing after winning for several minutes

edit: Marcus Rashford scored the 3rd goal. It is unbelievable how this game has changed only with the input of some players.

Woke up this morning feeling fine because of this. Finally, I can see United on the top 4. I can save my time when scrolling the table  Grin

373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why make New Crypto Exchanges on: December 04, 2020, 11:57:25 PM
we have 4.66 billion internet users today.
https://datareportal.com/global-digital-overview#:~:text=The%20number%20of%20internet%20users,875%2C000%20new%20users%20each%20day

The current number of unique active users of cryptocurrency is estimated to be 101 million or more.
https://news.bitcoin.com/cambridge-universitys-third-crypto-study-records-101-million-cryptocurrency-users-worldwide/

so the ratio will be,

101 million : 4.66 billion
it's just 2.17%

you can still compete to get the rest.
374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto in Asia: Top developments for 2021 on: December 04, 2020, 11:41:19 PM
I am Indonesian not trying to be biased, Indonesia should be on the list too. We have already had a regulation here about cryptocurrency or crypto assets. cryptocurrency categorized as a commodity, not a currency. Like what has been said above, Binance invested in our local exchange a few months ago. And why we have Indonesian local board on Bitcointalk? because we have many users from Indonesia. I know that we are not top quality members, but still, we contribute to the number of adoption.
not to mention, our CBDC is on the way.
375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How tricky is this? on: December 04, 2020, 11:25:51 PM
it happens to me almost every time I picked multi bets. It's bad for mental health.
because it's like it pushes you to have high expectations about it, and then you just fall down.
it will ruin your day, more stake more time to recover from your stress time because of this kind of situation.  Grin

376  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CryptoForum.org on: December 04, 2020, 10:56:04 PM
I have seen a lot of cryptocurrency forums on the internet.
They tend to be different when they announce it, but what they did just copying almost all of bitcointalk useful threads.
I hope you are not trying to build that kind of forum.

If you want to get more users, you may consider to add paid to post feature with Dogecoin.
Promote it in doge community on telegram.
I saw dogecoin become newbie’s favorite on collecting free money.

Advanced or any cool features is not needed in your starts. It is already enough if users can generates free money from your site. Come on, am I wrong?

378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the biggest threat to Bitcoin? on: December 03, 2020, 11:59:17 PM
IMO, the biggest threat to bitcoin is the community itself, especially the one who are not well-educated about bitcoin. By mentioning community, I mean all the people who involved on this field, directly and indirectly.
When a missleading information about bitcoin shared by this kind of people, it could be repeated massively, and become a truth/fact. Just like how 2 bankers that I saw in separete times thinks bitcoin is a kind of MLM  Grin.
Imagine this “well-educated” people on financial sector can make their customers/clients believe in their words about bitcoin easily.

But that could be turned around immediately, right?

This community knows what is Bitcoin and what is not. There are a lot of threads they can read here in the forum and I think they trust the words of the people here rather than the words of other people talking about Bitcoin being a scam or a Ponzi scheme.

I was addressing people who are involved on Bitcoin in general, not specifically no this forum.
Almost all of the people on this forum is already bitcoin user. They surely know what is bitcoin. But for people outside, they dont have any reference rather than people who they trust the most. They can easily trust people who they believe has more education in financial sector. On the case above, bankers.
379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your Life After 10 years in Bitcoin... on: December 03, 2020, 11:44:41 PM
Bitcoin is a life changing for some people. It could be good, but sometimes it changes people badly. We cant deny it. I have 2 friends, who is an early adopter, and the other one who bought bitcoin at ATH in 2017. I dont need to explain more about this, but I believe you already get it  Grin

Personally, I read about bitcoin for the first time in 2012-2013 I think. Where people collects bitcoin for free from faucets or something if I am not mistaken. I didnt really interested in bitcoin at that time because I invested in a ponzi schemed HYIP which made me had much money at that time lol.

My first bitcoin wallet was created in 2015-2016. 3-4 years after I read about bitcoin. At that point, you already know that I felt disappointed because I underestimated it before.

Bitcoin changes me in personal, mostly in financial planning.
Yeah I got the profits too, but I really thanks bitcoin for changing my mind how to manage my money.
380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin at risk of regulation? on: December 03, 2020, 11:20:22 PM
IMO, bitcoin needs to be regulated. Regulation is a bridge for mass adoption. However, we need to states who will regulates this space. It can be independent organizations, government, or anything. It should be “trustable” by the majority. Regulation is not the risk. The risk is for bitcoin holders who dont want to taxed, or they used it for illegal purposes.

Bitcoin and any other decentralized financial projects could be still unregulated and massively adopted just if the conventional one collapses.
