743  Economy / Services / Re: Roobet.com | Art Contest "Craftsmanship" - $1400 up for grabs! Ends October 5th on: September 08, 2020, 01:12:29 PM
@Hhampuz, just want to clarify things... are we allowed to join all of it as long as 1submission for each category?...

this is Hhampuz statement on "hand drawn contest" thread.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5274171

Asking for clarification about "One submission per account in this category"

Does it mean every participant can also submit another entry to another art category using of course only one account?

You are correct Maus! You are free to submit work in each category (has to be different though not just making a digital version of something you drew by hand). So if you are super talented you can go ahead and submit one work per category Smiley

and this is Hhampuz statement on "animation/GIF contest" thread.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5274169

Thank you Hhampuz and Roobet for featuring my artwork! I am planning on making a traditional artwork(hand drawn) if there's gonna be another art contest Cheesy but, you make a category on each medium this month, I guess I will stick on animation haha. Thank you again Hhampuz and Roobet! It's so nice to see my work here  Grin Grin Grin

You are allowed to join all the categories Yatsan, if the work in each one is different and not just a variation of what you previously made Smiley

Either way, I'm looking forward to what you will make next!

based on this, you are allowed to make 1 artwork for each category.

746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / How I Turn $0.001 into 1 BTC #MyBitcoinJourney #TradeItWithTed on: September 08, 2020, 08:06:29 AM
Hello guys, can I get your attention, please?

▶▶▶ INTRO ◀◀◀
I was inspired by someone named Demi on Instagram and Tiktok.
She has a program/project called Trade Me Project With Demi.
Her goal is to get a house from trading/barter.

She started this project with a bobby pin. Yes, a bobby pin.

Source: https://www.instagram.com/p/CAq_9pWnO5l/

You won't believe it that the bobby pin leads her into earings, snowboard, xbox one, macBook pro, etc.
currently, she got a mini cooper car from this project.

▶▶▶ TRADE IT WITH TED ◀◀◀
I want to have a project like Demi.
But, instead of physical goods trading, I'm more interested to do it virtually, with digital goods like crypto, vouchers, digital arts, digital services, any digital things accepted.

I will start it with my Banano (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5165788).
Banano is a feeless meme coin. Honestly, I am not their team, but their community is fun to join.
No, I am not soft-selling it.

INITIAL TRADE : 1 Banano (estimated value $0.001).
CURRENT TRADE : 1,001 Satoshi Bitcoin Lightning Network (estimated value $0.1).

MY GOAL : 1 BTC.

My BTC Address for this project:

11 September 2020 - 0.001 Litecoin (LTC) ▶ 1,001 Satoshi Bitcoin Lightning Network (LN) @LoyceV

▶▶▶ TRIVIA ◀◀◀
Hi.   Smiley
I just want to take a second to say the origins story of this idea was a website from 2005 entitled "one red paperclip".
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_red_paperclip
The owner of the website successfully trades upwards from a red paperclip to eventually owning a house.
Good luck on your journey!

thank you for hosting this kind of contest again. I lost the last 2 contests lol.
but surely I will join this one.
suggestion for Hhampuz, maybe you can add links to other contests on post #1 or #2.
(includes youtube campaign + roobet games and rounds maybe).
748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: same private key? on: September 06, 2020, 08:13:48 AM
I thought this is a simple question until I found this is interesting after reading the comments.
so, a private key / wallet address is not purely generated uniquely.

it just close to unique because of the chance to have the same private key / wallet address close to impossible, because the amount of different keypairs that can be generated is huge.
CMIIW.

I like the coin flipping analogy BlackHatCoiner though.
749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: September 06, 2020, 07:46:14 AM
Just watching Iceland vs England & it’s 0-0 at 64 minutes. This is possibly the worst England team I’ve ever seen. Foden, Ward-Prowse, Eric Dier, Declan Rice? They’re like a Championship team.

I can't watch it yesterday due to my internet problems.
I just watch the highlight a few minutes ago. even the highlight is that boring. I’m glad I didn’t watch the full match.

New day today and new chance to take some money from the bookies. Germany @1.85 looks like top pick at first glance, will wait for line ups as usual before placing high stake bets.

I'll follow you Trofo, I got @1.9. I've just placed a small bet on it Grin
750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Patience above all will be rewarded here on: September 06, 2020, 06:51:39 AM
there are 3 types of people in this crypto industry, idealist, capitalist, and neutralist.
idealist people, they support crypto no matter what, they try to spread the positivity, and make this community bigger and bigger. but sometimes not realistic.
capitalist, they only come to make profits as much as they can, they don't think that much to become this industry sustainable.
neutralist, the one who enthusiast about new things, willing to learn and earn realistically.
751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any VR crypto casinos? on: September 06, 2020, 06:30:16 AM

A quick lookup made me find this
https://aliveplaycasino.com/ they have VR, I'm not just sure about if it's legit or not so try it at your own risk.

They have done bounty and airdrops but this one escaped our radars I've checked the traffic for me this is a good parameter if many users are visiting and actively participating in the program and I'm surprised to see that they have a very low flow of traffic in their website https://www.alivecasino.io/#/
https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/alivecasino.io#trafficstats
3:05 Daily Time on Site, very few users or they are not marketing the project enough but they have done a bounty campaign I wonder what are the issues here, why only a few or none at all.

I can't find any review about this casino. I only found their ICO review.
ANN and Bounty thread here -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4681242.0

their last promotion on the website: November 2019.
facebook and twitter last active: November 2019.
BTT account (alivecasino) last active: May 2019.
Telegram and Instagram: regularly active, but not much.

I think this casino already dead.
752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the need to increase BTC's max supply arise in the future? on: September 06, 2020, 05:56:08 AM
Increasing the supply is like the helicopter money.

I don't think that there's a need for it to increase. It's bitcoin and its scarcity is one of its asset and the best thing that it had. We are far seeing that day that there will be debates of increasing the supply. The concern is more of the transaction speed and fees.

In February 2019, news.bitcoin.com published this article.
Proposal to Increase Bitcoin’s 21 Million Supply Sparks Debate
Bitcoin’s Fixed Supply – Arbitrary or Mandatory?
https://news.bitcoin.com/proposal-to-increase-bitcoins-21-million-supply-sparks-debate/

I agree with you that scalability is the concern.
however, with this proposal, you shouldn't think that this debate is far away to happen.
something that you think most likely not gonna happen usually has more probability to happen than you think.

754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Over 8700 Bitcoin ATMS now Installed Globally on: September 06, 2020, 05:15:39 AM
And maybe once this pandemic is over, we will see more of these bitcoin ATMs as the adoption is growing. And yes, only few crypto users so far used btc ATM. And yes, he is The Pharmacist -

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5262424.0

Also, there's another one, Peter R way back in 2013.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=330720.0

But honestly, not many really use bitcoin ATM because most of us convert our crypto to fiat with other means like local exchange, p2p or local remittances. Maybe, because the fee is lower than using this ATM and also the convenience from where you are. Sometimes they are not easily accessible. So whatever is near to you, like local exchange, you use their services. Even me, which has been years in crypto, never tried a btc ATM yet.

I live in Bali, a popular tourist spot.
since there are many foreigners here, bitcoin became a payment option for many stores, hotels, restaurants, and more.
there's also a bitcoin ATM placed in a coworking space, about 20 minutes from my house.
but, before I had a chance to try it, our regulation here in Indonesia banned crypto as a payment.
like you have said, maybe I will used it only because I am curious, not because I need to.

Coinatmradar post about that bitcoin atm here:

755  Economy / Services / Re: Need someone to active my FB account. on: September 06, 2020, 04:26:27 AM
ah, facebook requires KYC now when they found suspicious activity? that's bad  Grin
I have a facebook account for fun purpose, it used a random name, with a vector image as an avatar.
the last time facebook limited my account, I only need to guess 3 pictures which are an avatar from friends on my friend list.

have you tried to contact their support? because their support is responsive enough on solving problems.
I have tried it several times to solve my problem with my crypto fan page.

if you are interested, I have a facebook fan page (non-crypto) with 10k followers.
756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Over 8700 Bitcoin ATMS now Installed Globally on: September 05, 2020, 06:18:31 PM
it's been 1.5 months since this thread created, and now we have 9681 crypto ATM in this world.
almost a thousand in 1.5 months.
but, I wonder how this site gathered the data.

for anyone here, if you want to know if Bitcoin ATM is profitable, you can estimate it with this link,

757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting: how much knowledge is too much on: September 05, 2020, 05:24:19 PM
this is my third day to bet blindly.
using "draw" and "not a draw" strategy for a match which has score 0-0 in the first half.
reference: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5264695.0

I already got 50% profit from my initial money.
I will try it for a week, if this strategy really works that way, I will try to bet more money.

758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest Bitcoin giveaway scams and how can you avoid them on: September 05, 2020, 05:11:40 PM
remember when ads related to bitcoin or crypto was banned by Google and Facebook?
now they promote the actual scams. they surely need to hire more ads and social media evaluators.
I saw ETH giveaways ads on youtube regularly. sigh.
759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: you're making bitcoin complicated on: September 05, 2020, 04:59:35 PM
this is my version.

If a newbie asks what is a good wallet to use?
all wallet is good as long it gives you full access. (private key, etc.)
start with a web wallet, it is free to use.

If a newbie asks how to earn bitcoin?
buy with fiat money, mining with a powerful computer, accept bitcoin as payment for your service/product, or get it for free by doing microtasks.

If a newbie asks what good thing about bitcoin? anonymity?
if you have a concern with privacy, anonymity might be the answer for you.
besides that, bitcoin offers you a p2p payment system. just a sender and a recipient.
no middleman.
