201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does knowing your sport and teams really make you better at betting on them? on: February 13, 2021, 09:13:23 PM
-snip-
if you have some basic knowledge of the game and teams, is it enough to become good at betting? If you really know the teams and follow what's happening to them (injuries and stuff like that), does it really make you good at betting?
-snip-

I found this article on the internet.
It's about how a football player named Scott Davies was very addicted to gambling.
the funny thing is he placed a bet on his own matches.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree/article/a35b72fb-6035-4ccc-90bc-f2a93c4d3671

He is a professional football player.
He knew the condition and situation of his team at that moment.
He was directly involved in the game.

still, gambling is about probability, no certain outcomes.
he should be very rich now if those aspects matter.
202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: February 13, 2021, 06:00:42 PM
-snip-
why gambling/betting analysis is a fraud because they are not a gambler for sure, most of them only sell consulting services instead of providing input based on personal experience.  There has been an incident around my city where a gambling/betting analyst was arrested by the police for misleading customers and making many of his customers lose.

gambling with your own experience and knowledge is still the best even though losing at least it is the result of your own decision and not the result of others.

Actually it depends on the person or the analyst. Would you get a personal analyst that you didn't know and doesn't have any reputation or some feedbacks from others? No right? The person is also responsible to whom he will choose to. I think not all of them are fraud, but I believe some of them exist. I don't think any people would risk into someone without making some research in backgrounds. But I also believe that in gambling, the best profit and earning is experience. You will know that you learn if you experienced to lose and to have some ups and downs in your life as a gambler. Be sure to be responsible in you acts, bets and money.

I think we should make it clear if a gambling/betting analyst has the same job as a tipster.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tipster

And this is a gambling analyst
https://www.wise-geek.com/what-does-a-gaming-analyst-do.htm

Based on these 2 links, Tipster and Gambling analyst is two different jobs.

according to your opinions above, I think it's more like a tipster. CMIIW
203  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Minimum coin to begin trading? on: February 10, 2021, 06:37:01 PM
minimum / ideal amount of BTC or ETH to start trading?

the ideal amount will depend on your goal. but this infographic regarding the budget rule might help you to consider your trading budget.
as on the infographic said, all those points may need to be considered. The exact percentages will depend on your monthly money.

the minimum amount to start trading?
again, it depends on the exchange market. normally, spot trading starts from $10 and contract trading starts from $5.
in my country, the local exchanges here allows us to trade as low as $0.7.
204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: February 10, 2021, 06:01:37 PM
I wonder if there's a gambling/betting analyst job, and google directed me to this link:
https://www.glassdoor.com/Job/sports-betting-analyst-jobs-SRCH_KO0,22.htm
most of them for sports betting analyst.
I also found this https://www.betting-analyst.com/
Some are just predictions subscription, but there's also a data analyst to collect data from user's behaviors on their platform.
205  Economy / Economics / Re: Where the correction ? on: February 10, 2021, 05:16:01 PM
IMO, this year could be different from 2017-2018.
but I understand that people start worrying because of their trauma of the past year (yeah, me too).
a lot of big names already jumped into this space. They won't ruin their integrity by doing something bad.
Elon is the richest man alive with his Tesla and SpaceX company. I believe he is a visioner person considering what he has done before.
People will start to follow him. Stocks are boring, Gold and Silver are very conservative things. Crypto is the thing.
I follow some stocks influencers on Instagram, their impression when they knew bitcoin price pumped hardly is bad.
Something like "the bubble will explode", "monkey business", "no fundamental", "no company", blablablah..
When Elon became our friends, all the bad comments decreased significantly.
People start to take this seriously, even stocks influencers that I follow starts shilling crypto more often  Grin
The correction will happen, but those people who don't have BTC will catch it fast because the red market means a cheaper price compared to what they have seen before.
206  Economy / Economics / Re: Need of the Hour : Tackle Joblessness on: February 10, 2021, 04:37:10 PM
-snip-

{small note: Kudos to the bitcoin community in helping provide jobs through Campaigns and competitions , there is always something available in the service section }

People are talking about stimulus.
But who will talk about the joblessness which is spreading like a disease far more destructive than COVID.

Should the developed countries try and go for industrialization? Let's discuss!

I live in a tourist destination area where almost 90% of the people here work in the tourism industry.
Covid hits us badly. I have to fully cover my family.
This forum means a lot for me and my family during this pandemic situation.
Thanks to this forum (especially for campaign and contest by Casineos, Betnomi, IOI Games, Roobet, Duelbits, and Winz) for becoming my "side-hustle" since September last year.
Since my first job is about crypto too, it means my family lives 100% from crypto for almost a year now.
However, I am still wondering, what I have to do next.
207  Economy / Economics / Re: Im big fan of stable coins and this is what I think on: February 10, 2021, 04:14:36 PM
so what's the point of having stablecoin? because stablecoin is a coin to represent the fiat in a stable way 1:1.
I only use stablecoin like USDT TRC20 to transfer my money from one exchange to another exchange market.
even if stablecoin is in high demand (for example, it can be used for lending service), it will be still 1:1 to its fiat representation.

208  Economy / Services / Re: Paying up to $50 for an AWESOME LOGO! on: February 10, 2021, 07:10:36 AM
As the title says, "Paying up to $50 for an AWESOME LOGO!" for this logo contest.
Is it means that it's possible that the winner will get less?

I believe people here will still submit their design no matter the prize is low or high.
I know you have an escrow service, but will you use escrow service for that money? I mean another escrow service provider here.
how about the deadline?
209  Economy / Economics / Re: SWISS NATIONAL BANK is the first Central Bank to own Bitcoin on: February 09, 2021, 08:06:14 PM
The central bank owns shares in 2,490 companies, including Apple, Amazon and even GameStop,...

So, bankers speculate (but more like gambling) in stocks too and said Bitcoin is monkey business.

-snip-

SNB owns 245 BTC!

This is something that definetly has to be taken into account when someone will decide to “ban bitcoin”, or something like this.

with those 245 BTC, how many Laszlo Hanyecz Pizza's share that SNB will get?  Grin

I can say we are almost safe now because they won't ban themself.
210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: February 09, 2021, 07:38:51 PM

I wonder how many goals manchester united will score... in the last game manchester united scored 3 goals against everton. before playing against everton, they scored 9 goals against southampton.

today can they score more than 3 goals? or will we see 10 goals?  Grin

-snip-

United will win this match because Old Trafford is not a good place for David Moyes  Grin
Van De Beek on the starting 11, I wish he can improve his performance in this match.
Fred can help him neutralize the midfield.
So, over 2.5 (2.07) maybe? Anyone?
211  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone still using CEX? on: February 09, 2021, 07:03:55 PM
the last time I used CEX was a year ago. I used it because I got an email to claim their free offer.
20 USD to test their CEX Broker platform.
I got no problem withdrawing that money after a few days of testing it. but yes, the fee is high. I used XRP to reduced the fee.

Since I am more into spot trading, I feel CEX is not for people like me.
there are only a few coins listed on CEX. plus their minimum amount to trade is high too.
212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Richest Man in Mexico Updates his Twitter Bio to Include Bitcoin on: February 09, 2021, 06:44:47 PM
not sure about it but it seems like 2021 is the FOMO for rich people and high institutions  Grin
it's good for us as older bitcoin enthusiasts and supporters.
I bet you guys all "feel safe", because we are now backed up by big players with a big name, a really well known big name.
naturally, rich people are smaller people's benchmark. They are trying to follow the paths.
So, yes, it can push the adoption. Not really significant in numbers, but still it will affects well.
213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I regret selling BTC for entering DeFi. HODLing is the way! on: February 09, 2021, 06:06:55 PM
I learned the hard way that Hodling BTC is the only way. I wanted to grow my BTC so i sold my 1BTC @32K a month ago and put that money in DeFi for yield farming in those high APY. I took some losses and some gains. Now BTC jumped 47K. If i would have just HODL all this way i would have more USDT then if i buy BTC now. Lesson i Learned: Yield farming is useless. People put so much at risk entering smart contract not to mention the daily time waste. Just HODL and you would have more more money than anyone yield farming in long run.

you should not regret it. you learn a lot of things because of that.
we are all part of the supply and demand, and we are the reason for the price changes.

let me share this legendary thread by Laszlo Hanyecz to cheer you up.

3-4 years ago there were less than 100 people frequenting this forum, and I was pretty happy to trade 10,000 coins for pizza.  I mean people can say I'm stupid, but it was a great deal at the time.  I don't think anyone could have known it would take off like this. Smiley

214  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Earning cryptocurrency on your own website on: February 09, 2021, 02:35:17 PM

Interesting TedMosby! But if you've been trying a few times and finally got approved, then what changed? I generally thought those sites that run pages need more publishers, but if they were able to reject you several times, it means the supply has really dropped over the years. I wonder also how the payments thresholds have become now BTC is almost 50k...

previously I used Cointraffic. I had no problem submitting my website there. Accepted easily.

I got rejected on Coinzilla because of my website traffic. Thanks to the Bitcoin bull run, people start trying to learn Bitcoin from the internet and it makes I got more than enough traffic to re-apply on that platform.

Cointraffic payment threshold 25EUR (BTC and Bank Wire), meanwhile Coinzilla 50EUR (BTC, ETH, USDT ERC20, and Bank Wire).

Oh, I forgot to mention that I still got rejected on Coinzilla Marketplace, only Coinzilla Publisher.
Since I've already accepted as a publisher, I wanna try to re-apply for Coinzilla Marketplace too.
215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So lets talk honest now about btc on: February 08, 2021, 07:52:40 PM
So all this decentralised blHh blahh is nice
Be your own bank blah blah
But thats not a point lets skip the bs and be honest

How does this thing can make me rich ?
Results what must come out of this are:
At least. 100 mil dollars. Coz life is expensive

So what ways ? How thos thing can make the big $$$$
Thats why im here im hhere for big cash !

first, please don't drunk and text. I am joking  Grin

bitcoin price is already $40k. it could be expensive or cheap depends on your perspective.
bitcoin is here not to be a one-hit wonder that can make people rich in one night. but it could happen.
go find a crypto gem to speculate, you already have bitcoin as a benchmark.
We will never know what will happen next. It can be like DeFi things after ICO things Grin
I wish you guys would be on the train.
216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla buys $1.5 billion in Bitcoin on: February 08, 2021, 07:06:11 PM
so this Blockfolio app notification popped up during my Mobile Legends time a few hours ago.

I was screamed out, it feels like a birthday surprise.
The game feels so slow since I want to check my portfolio immediately, open my Twitter to make a celebration tweet, checking my alts order, etc.
A great day for Bitcoin and Crypto Supporters.

Now "stocks" people can't say Bitcoin is monkey business.
Because the king is with us now Grin
217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: February 08, 2021, 06:26:12 PM
~ but I’m hoping City will lose in the game against tottenham. I know that tottenham is not doing well and City is getting stronger, but it is not impossible for tottenham to defeat city
50% chance of a draw, 40% City, and 10% Spurs.
^ If Mou's strategy is to park the bus and rely on counter attacks (most likely).

and if liverpool beat leicester then it will reduce this big difference in points that it has with City
There are still plenty of games to catch up. Just hope that Liverpool doesn't drop too many points in the remaining games and wish for the best Grin Man United is still above them.

Seems like City became the common enemy this season  Grin
Yes please, I want them to lose once, or twice, or until the end of the season.

By head to head in EPL and EFL Cup (both sides managing English clubs), Jose Mourinho is better than Pep Guardiola.

Mourinho - 4
draw - 1
Guardiola - 3

Source: https://www.90min.com/posts/pep-guardiola-vs-jose-mourinho-complete-head-to-head-record

By seeing the stats, most likely it won't end a draw.

Hello, yes its profitable with coinzilla and bitmedia
i sell my faucet, its easy and simple faucet luckydice.net,at the moment not work
my old analytic,https://prnt.sc/vau548 its 1300-2000 unique users per day

Is coinzilla a safe one? I heard loads of rumors about that

as far as I know, Coinzilla is very selective with the website that they will accept.
I've submitted my website since a few years ago, got rejected a few times.
and finally, I got accepted a few hours ago  Grin
contacted by the team itself by email, you will need to show some stats from google analytics and google search console.

so, since I am a new publisher there, can you link me to the rumors that you mention above?
219  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Project COVID-19 Art Contest Discussion on: February 08, 2021, 04:12:46 PM
- Any limits in regards to the number of submissions?
Good question. Since this is "Project COVID-19 Art Contest" maybe we can use the theme of how Project COVID-19 is supporting the community, it's impact, how we are fighting against COVID-19 and ultimately feature Bitcoin - these sorts of things.

Feel free to leave your questions. I will update contest topic reserve post.

Hi Royse777, I want to know how many submissions are allowed (per account) to participate in this art contest.
I see some members posted some artworks at once.
Not sure if I miss something on this.
220  Economy / Services / Re: Duelbits.com | Artwork Contest - 6 winners ~$1050 up for grabs! | Ends Feb. 2nd on: February 08, 2021, 03:53:14 PM
I love getting a telegram notification from my Bitcointalk SuperNotifier, when "Hhampuz" pop-up on my screen, it could be a piece of good news. Grin

Also, I confirm that the prize already credited to my Duelbits account.

Congratulations to all the participants because of BTC to the Mars today.
