  • blogging (noboby is interested in blogs nowadays)

-snip-

honestly, I am still blogging. passive blogging.
I only post when clients want me to post content about them.

a blog is a cheap investment for passive and active income.
I don't get paid much from my blog, but still, it's decent money for me who live in a third-world country.
I started it from scratch, 2 years now.

  • I got paid $20-50 for a single article. mostly easy task, copy-paste the article from advertisers with a little bit of screening. it's less than 1 hour.
  • I got free crypto stuff like a hardware wallet from well-known crypto companies.
  • I got paid from affiliate programs (exchange and gambling).
  • I got paid from the ad network.
  • I got paid for individual ad banners placement on my website.

bitcoin and crypto content is in high demand now.
my website traffic increased by 4x.
Just start blogging, no matter your content is good or bad. it's nothing to lose.
if you can't make a blog, do it on Publish0X. I got $2-3 from a single article*.
183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: February 17, 2021, 03:49:15 PM
Burnley will play against Fulham at their home stadium today, I think the odds payout does look a bit strange as Burnley are doing better than Fulham in the standings on the table, but the odds payout for Burnely to win the match in full time against Fulham is @2.95. I think Burnley might not be able to beat Fulham today judging by the odds payout, and maybe this game might ends up with a draw.

The odds are really interesting now, I agree. I wonder how Fulham can be the favourite side in this match. Burnley are at a better position in the table than Fulham. They also have a similar form recently. I was expecting Burnley to win but I've changed my mind since I saw the odds.  Grin  I also expect a draw now.

Fulham won against Everton with some good stats. Meanwhile, Burnley got 3 points too on an away match against Crystal Palace.
Fulham becomes the favorite team in this match because Burnley will miss a lot of players due to injuries issue.

184  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling to lock in profit question... on: February 16, 2021, 07:04:45 PM
CMIIW.

you buy 1000 CoinX for 10 cents each.
it means your initial money is $100.

then,

you sold 1000 CoinX for 20 cents each.
it means you get $200.
profit $100.

then,

then you all-in on CoinX at 15 cents each.
you get 1333.33 CoinX.

so,

from that situation, let's make a comparison for those 2 buy orders.
let say the price of CoinX hit 30 cents each.

without selling your CoinX at 15cents,
your $100 will become $300 (+200%)

with selling your CoinX at 15cents,
your $200 will become $400 (+100%)
but you are +300% from your initial money, which is $100.
185  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My 1 month testing trade result $500 profit on: February 16, 2021, 06:29:42 PM
it's almost 150% profit from your initial deposit. well done OP. are you doing day trading? do you mind sharing your strategy?
I am not a good trader, I always think that it's a good exit when I am in 10-30% profit. and after a few days, boom... the price skyrocketing to 100-500%  Grin
honestly, I have never used any technical analysis, indicators, and whatsoever when I trade.
I used to read news and updates regarding the crypto that I want to trade.
based on my experience, doing nothing (hodling) is more profitable than trading.
currently, I am hodling ETH, it's more profitable than my trading activity  Grin
186  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to avoid as a beginner in trading Bitcoin? on: February 16, 2021, 06:05:46 PM
Starting out with cash..? Does journaling truly help ?

1. avoid pump and dump group.
2. any tweets or statement from crypto influencers is not for financial advice but edutainment purpose.
3. set a target, and don't be greed.
4. don't use all of your money, and always do budgeting.
5. trading journal might be helpful for some people ---> https://www.finextra.com/blogposting/12877/everything-you-need-to-know-about-getting-a-trading-journal
187  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I've got $20k to invest. Please recommend! on: February 16, 2021, 05:41:41 PM
Hey folks,

I've finally got around $20k to invest in long-term. No, unfortunately I cannot put this on a bank to get like 10-15% per year, I'd need something way more good.
What would you recommend? Mining? Other crypto?

Investors, please get me some cool ideas.

Thanks in advance,
Marcell

I thought it's a new thread. turns out that this thread is a 5 years old thread.
I wonder how that $20k of investment now.
I hope it ends on a good cryptocurrency selection.

if you bought BTC in the past, you should be rich enough now.
bitcoin price in March 2016 around $400.
with the bitcoin price is $48k now, your $20k of long-term investment should already be worth more than $2.4M.
188  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BITCOLOAN -- the next Bitconnect!!! on: February 16, 2021, 04:45:35 PM
I might do it just for the hell of it and see how it goes.

If it's a scam as you said (and more likely it is) then why deposit even 1 sat and help them to continue their crap? Even if you deposit as a test, this will help them and not you or anyone else. Undecided

I've just checked the website.
the daily interest rate starting from 1.5%.
you could get $1360 from $1000 of "investment"
it's too good to be true, but it's not scam YET.

a scam is not a scam until it's scam.
with that big ROI, I doubt that this scam can run for longer than 6 months.

189  Other / Meta / Re: Do you click on signatures? on: February 16, 2021, 04:17:04 PM
I rarely click on the direct link on the signature. if the signature has a link to the ann thread, I visit the ann thread first.
sometimes I google it first because I need to know what people say about it.
the signatures might not get my direct visit, but still, the brand awareness makes me research more about it.
I almost did it for most of the signatures that I've seen on this forum. 9/10, mostly non ICO/IEO signatures campaign.
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cheap Thrills And BITCOIN Shills? on: February 15, 2021, 07:42:32 PM
I always see something like that on BitBoy Youtube Channel  Grin
IMO, we should not take it as advice. they also clearly state at the beginning or the end of their video that it's not financial advice.
therefore, we should not rely on their video to decide which crypto to buy or sell.
somehow I felt entertaining to watch videos like that. I take it as an EDUTAINMENT. it makes me research more about what has been mentioned.
Coin Bureau is my favorite youtube channel for now. Their explanation makes sense and more friendly with my brain  Grin
191  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc Halving Effect + Elon Musk Effect + Institutional Investors' Effect. on: February 15, 2021, 06:26:41 PM
bitcoin halving is good for bitcoin.
bitcoin adoption by some big institutions is also good.
but, how about some well-known influencers that overexpose their bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies.
people (their followers at least) will starts thinking crypto as their one-hit wonder that can make them rich. just hit and run.
I am not talking about Elon Musk but the narratives now said that he is a "crypto pom-pom" guy or the new Mc Afee.

I don't want people trapped with those negative stigmas, because we will have exponential growth of the people with misleading information regarding bitcoin.

this is the worldwide google trends for the past 90 days for "Bitcoin".

192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: February 15, 2021, 04:47:20 PM
I've been seeing people who are sharing their predictions about sports and if they monetize on it, they're likely to be paid with membership fees or with commissions from the people who are taking their analysis.

But they could also be an agent by a bigger agency that hires analysts to do the job.

it's a tipster job, not a gambling analyst.
however, the more I read, the more it makes me confused.
not sure if tipster and gambling analyst are the same jobs or not.

some say gambling/betting analyst is a job for the gambling companies.
because they analyze users, platforms, data, fraud attempts, performance, and more.

meanwhile, the tipster's job is giving advice regarding outcomes of a bet for the users of those gambling companies.
193  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for 4 hires for a job [ 20 USD a day] on: February 15, 2021, 04:06:01 PM
OP has a very bad history of offers for similar jobs - and now obviously looking for people to send spam emails. I don’t think anyone likes to receive such messages, so if he wants to send them, let him send them himself.

From the history of similar offers :

Beware of this person...

This is Job Description:
Marios will chat you and he want you to Make a SPAM email to Youtuber who have 20K - 200K subscriber with ownership offer estimate 80.000 USD...

BEWARE!!! BEWARE!!!

MAAManda created a thread and explain it on the Indonesian board too.
here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5266073.0
you can use google translate for it. however, the conversations are in English.
the job is related to email too, but not sure if it's the same job as what OP offers on this thread.
194  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Minimum coin to begin trading? on: February 15, 2021, 03:53:55 PM
-snip-
By this infographic, that means I am making 6x more money than I am making right now. I can't even cover all my needs with 100% of my salary time to time, of course there are times when I can cover it, most of the times I can, but I have never had one month in my life when I made enough money to pay for housing, foods, utilities, health care and insurance with "just" 50% of my salary, that never happened, it is always around 80% of my salary.

Sometimes 20% goes to savings, sometimes there is no 20% because I need to spend it on something urgent and a must, and yes sometimes 20% goes to savings, but I never had enough money to follow this chart in any point of my life and I have been working for over 10 years, and I am not even making tiny versus people in my nation, I make 2x of the minimum salary here. So, this infographic couldn't be any wrong to be quite honest.

you may need to start budgeting.
and make sure you can keep some for the emergency funds.

according to some references that I've read, we need an emergency fund to cover at least 3 to 6 months' worth of living expenses.
https://investor.vanguard.com/emergency-fund/amount

also, when we have a lot of expenses, the solution is not to retrench, but to have more income streams.
I believe this forum is one of your side hustle too.
195  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I make passive daily income with trading? on: February 14, 2021, 07:15:55 PM
Can I make passive daily income with trading?
I have little money of about 100$, Is it a good idea to start jump on Bittrex or Poloniex and
start buying alt coins for profit.

trading is not a passive thing. it's an activity.
however, there are some options that could make trading activity gives you passive income.

1. you can use a trading bot. you can buy or rent a trading bot. however, $100 is not a good portion of money to start trading with a trading bot.
2. copy trading. some exchange market like bityard has copy trading feature. you can start copy trading with only $5 per order.

day-trading is exhausting. Not only physically, but mentally too.
from my experience, holding and doing nothing is more profitable Grin
196  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin ready for world wide 1 currency? on: February 14, 2021, 06:37:15 PM
as a currency? I think not yet, and maybe it will only become a segmented currency.
I mean, bitcoin might be only suitable for big transactions, or for people who have a concern with their privacy (like a high level of privacy).
bitcoin for me is a digital asset. I do accept bitcoin as payment but I prefer to choose other cryptocurrencies with faster speed, low volatility, and cheaper tx fees.
I usually used USDT TRC20 to transfer money or for microtransactions.
197  Economy / Economics / Re: Mastercard Bitcoin Global Adoption? on: February 14, 2021, 05:59:42 PM
how about countries that have already banned cryptocurrency as a medium of exchange?
IMO, maybe they will develop a stand-alone centralized app for cryptocurrency where their card and service can be connected.
More like a crypto exchange to-go, I think.
However, I don't think they will act as a provider of crypto payment gateway service for this.
In my country, a local crypto exchange can take 1% for the fiat withdrawal fee. If they offer a better rate, it could be good for crypto users.
198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: February 14, 2021, 05:15:36 PM
I think we can crown the champions of Premier League 20/21 with Machester City on top. I have no doubts that City will win this year as with the draw today between Brom and United, it's clearly that United have lost the chance to keep up the pace with City.

From now on , the battle goes for places 2-5 as this are the ones who get you to UCL and Europe League.

Without a doubt, City is the strongest candidate among the "so-so" candidates.
with the winning strike record, It looks like City use a "Gameshark" to cheat  Grin
however, the UCL and Europe League may affect some team's consistency in EPL.
let's hope that team is Manchester City.  Grin

A bad result for United today. I wish Amad Diallo can replace Martial soon.
Chelsea and West Ham may push Liverpool to 6th tomorrow.
199  Economy / Economics / Re: The pros and cons of going cashless on: February 14, 2021, 04:44:04 PM
-snip-

These are the coins

You may spend more
-snip-

this is almost accurate for me.
I prefer cashless, but it really makes me spend more.
It's too easy to spend money digitally, almost no effort on spending those "digital numbers".

Fintech really made its hype in my country during this pandemic situation.
we already have many centralized digital wallets, and now they make those things connected to consumptive and productive things.
now I can allocate my "spending" power to some productive things like mutual funds and stocks.
every time I want to spend my money on consumptive things, I immediately allocate it and spend it for mutual funds and stocks.

in a nutshell, my crypto profits feed my mutual funds and stocks portfolio.
200  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I get rich by trading on: February 14, 2021, 04:14:26 PM

Every field has it's competition but in a greed, people join crypto to make their portfolio 10x.

the DeFi boom made many people rich last year. NFT possibly could make the lucky one rich this year.
not to mention the altseason has been "started" (or maybe not yet).
according to the coinmarketcap website, many cryptocurrencies got decent gains 100-200% in 7 days.
also, airdrop really helps. for example UNI token, 1INCH token, and more.
However, I agree that the greed side of the people will be significant during this run.
