1042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Get drunk with Lightning on: June 02, 2019, 10:34:28 PM
A japanese bar has started accepting payments in Bitcoin through Lightning Network.
Awabar Fukouka, a japanese bar with the help of a Bitcoin Lightning Network startup Nayuta is going to accept Bitcoin as a payment for drinks in the bar.

https://www.coindesk.com/japanese-bar-bitcoin-lightning-payments-in-new-usability-test

This is everyone's dream enjoying services by paying bitcoin. I hope more and more merchants will accept bitcoin. It's not shocking that Japan has adapted bitcoin in their daily activities and even started accepting it as a mode of payment even if they just lately adapted cryptocurrency. Let's hope that bitcoin adaptation will reach this level in a huge scope not just in one country but around the globe.
1043  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Fiat (Real life test ) on: June 02, 2019, 09:18:58 PM
This is not wrong when you are trying to convert Bitcoin -> FIAT through exchanges. To limit the control coming from the government, make Bitcoin conversions -> FIAT through the trader. This helps you avoid many of the problems that come from the government and don't worry about tax payments for that transaction.

It actually depends from country to country. Each transaction and steps when doing transactions depends on how countries does it. Here in our country sending thru bitcoin is way more convenient than using wire transfers since most wire transfer requires days for confirmation and some are passed from one bank (foreign) to our local bank. Fiat and crypto has their own convenience depending on situation.
1044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin appears on Excel, Microsoft implicitly admits Bitcoin is currency? on: June 02, 2019, 09:07:29 PM
Bigger companies are starting to accept bitcoin as payment, and it's a great exposure for bitcoin and other cryptocurrency as well. It could be a good way to advertise and spread cryptocurrency awareness to other big companies. Bitcoin adaptation by other companies increased this year as we see them integrating cryptocurrency and blockchain technology in their business.
1045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin (BTC) Bulls Near Exhaustion on: June 02, 2019, 09:04:04 PM
I think that Bitcoin (and alts) will see some heavy correction in the next week or so. This is based purely on a historic profile.

I wouldn't mind being wrong on this though :-)

Well, there's no perfect speculation since the market is highly volatile. However, most people believe that the historic price of bitcoin and any other cryptocurrency only repeats itself in the same manner. So, this might be correct.
1046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Adoption and Legality of Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency in india. on: June 02, 2019, 02:52:56 AM
Well, I think that is good enough that they have changed finance minister recently. It will all depend on how will yhey view cryptocurrency this time. As the most common reason why crypto is banned or regulated in some countries is because it can be used for money laundering and fraud acts, let's hope this time they can view crypto in a good way.
1047  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Pending coinbase transaction help on: June 02, 2019, 02:48:52 AM
You transaction would have went thru by this time since there had been several confirmations. Must be an error on coinbase's end. If you were not able to contact them via e-mail or called their support, your best bet would be to contact them via their social media account as suggested by bl4nkcode. Good luck with your funds.
1048  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Localbitcoins is not accessible. Are there total bans on Bitcoin w/o KYC on: June 02, 2019, 01:25:16 AM
Might be your country is restricted to access localbitcoin due to regulatory reasons. Try to read this link that I've found and see if your country is listed in the restricted countries in their site. Hope this helps.

1049  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If Tether dies, will Bitfinex go with it? and what about our $s? on: June 02, 2019, 01:02:44 AM
It's time to switch to binance, haven't used bitfinex since last year. Even if binance qas hacked lately, they have upgraded their platform to better serve their users and there are also stable coins in binance. So, I think your best choice if you are going to switch is binance.
1050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will I get LAMBO for investing in the Reverse Bitcoin Hardfork (RBH)? on: June 02, 2019, 12:58:56 AM
In my own opinion, bitcoin hard fork coins are just trash. There is only one legit bitcoin and that is bitcoin core. Hard fork coins are famous before since you get them free depending on the amount of btc you have in a certain wallet if it supports the fork. There had been a lot of forks and altcoins claiming to be the real bitcoin.
1051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyway to block usage of stolen coins? on: June 01, 2019, 10:31:32 PM
I think the network it self doesn't have such functionality. However, there are certain addressess that is banned by exchange platform most likely those that are from stolen funds.
1052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for bitcoin related movies! on: June 01, 2019, 10:28:06 PM
Please, suggest me some bitcoin movie. I am looking for some Bitcoin movies that will increase my knowledge about Bitcoin. Wherever Bitcoin has come from, how do I get to know about all the correct information about it. So, please suggest me some good movies that have been made about Bitcoin. Thank you.

Well ypu should definitely watch documentaries about bitcoin. There are a lot of sources of it online to gain more knowledge and idea about bitcoin. There are movies where bitcoin is slightly part of it, so documentaries will be your best bet to learn more about crypto.
1053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best gambling site? on: June 01, 2019, 09:15:12 PM
Swcpoker.eu has been around I think since 2015 or 2016.

--> https://play.swcpoker.eu/

This is their official thread --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5068812

Not aware about this site, but it seems it has been running for a long time now and there are good reviews about it available online, so this one is worth to try.
1054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wining the Toss : Bat Or Bowl In Cricket World Cup on: June 01, 2019, 09:10:32 PM
I feel that batting 2nd is the best choice the make their winning moment.

Yes, the percentage of wining is more while batting second. Still its early stage of the tournament. Only 4 matches have been played out of which only the first match (England vs South Africa) was won by batting first.

Good analysis, I think 4 matches as a reference is not enough for a reference as for probability in winning, but this can still help since out of 4 matches team the chances of winning by batting 2nd is higher. But still, it's a sport, anything can still happen the other way around.
1055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: eSports platform to launch p2p betting (hero) on: June 01, 2019, 09:06:08 PM
Have seen another e-sports betting site recently where you can bet with other players p2p without bookies. I guess this will be a new trend in e-sports betting. Interesting.

Edit: found the thread I was talking about:

1056  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best alternative to Tether? on: June 01, 2019, 08:52:16 PM
Quote
I'm at Bitfinex at the moment, however I'm thinking of going back to Binance; giving me more options for stable coins.
[Please do not keep your coins in an exchange. If anything happens to the exchange then you are going to lose the asset.]
>>>>But don't you then end up paying exchange withdrawal fees every trade? Seems like that could be expensive for the day trader(not compared to losing it all of course..)

It is safer to keep your funds in a wallet where you hold your own private key than keeping it in a platform. Keep in mind that therebare inevitable events where platforms suddenly closes or gets attacked. I would not risk storing my crypto in an exchange just to save fees when day trading.
1057  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is margin trading worth checking out? on: June 01, 2019, 05:19:02 PM
Margin trading is risky if you are not that experienced in trading since you can borrow money and trade higher than you actual asset. This could bring you a lot of profit if you can predict the price properly, on the other hand the risk is you can lose more money. Just stick to what you are used in doing first, and do not rush things out.
1058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: OkEx Supporting USDk could be Timely on: June 01, 2019, 05:10:40 PM
A very good and positive move this. Although, OKEX is fairly popular name, but this kind of move is surprising to me. It’s very bold and exciting but no way to predict the outcome of it now.

Well, we should actually wait until it is officially launched. There was no link to read the full content and official announcement regarding the news.
1059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 15€ to send Bitcoin on: June 01, 2019, 05:02:02 PM
That is why I sometimes prefer using gambling sites with altcoin options. Bitcoin network is sometimed congested and the fees can be high depending on btc price. I tried withdrawing my funds and it took me few days to receive my money.
1060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your opinion on Player Vs Player Sports Betting on: June 01, 2019, 04:48:09 PM
Betting against other player is a traditional way of gambling in real life. So, I think it would be something new online since most sports betting online is done by bookies. I don't gamble so much, but I like the concept of the website. Good luck, hoping for further development in your platform.
