1061  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [BTC] Trading Competition - Profits recorded as part of the platform's debt on: June 01, 2019, 04:40:42 PM
Hi, have seen this post again. I've registered on this exchange before. Any news or development on the platform? As far as I can remember winners will only paid if the platform gathers income, right?
1062  Economy / Economics / Re: what will happen to bitcoin in india on: June 01, 2019, 04:36:06 PM
What will happen to bitcoin in india. whether it is legal or not.

Haven't seen news about India and their stand in cryptocurrency lately. I think there are only certain laws that were changed specificaly in cryptocurrency in India. Found this one upon looking for sources.

1063  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Americans’ Life Savings Disappear From Mexican Bank Accounts on: June 01, 2019, 04:27:53 PM
What a heart breaking story, the fact is banks can't solve all issues and sometimes banks can easily rip you off ,it happens in my country but bank vs crypto? Its all vice versa ,private keys can be lost too or you simply get hacked

It actually can happen both in crypto and banking. If you do not really take care or even review where you are putting your money, either crypto or banks, you wl still lose money. It's actually a good sum of money, hacking can happen in banks and crypto, at least in crypto you handle your own security which I think is safer.
1064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peter Schiff vs. Barry Silbert: Gold and Bitcoin on: June 01, 2019, 04:23:28 PM

I thought Schiff did a great job pointing to the historical value of gold, though I tend to side with Silbert in this debate. While I am much more bullish about bitcoin than gold, I believe gold is money and a form of insurance to economy uncertainty. I felt Silbert could have done more to rebut Schiff's point about the environmental costs of bitcoin mining.

As for me, both gold and bitcoin each has their own strengths, advantages and weaknesses as well. Now, if I have more funds to invest, I would go for both though since bitcoin has proven to be more moneymaker than gold I tend to give more space for it. However, its good thing to see a debate on this topic so that we can highlight both and an investor can see both sides of the coin before jumping into anything. You can go for gold...you can go for bitcoin or much better go for both...the most important thing is that you go for something.

I agree to this, both gold and bitcoin has their own advantage and dis adavantage. Some people chooae to invest in gold since it is more stable than crypto, on the other hand the market volatility and risk of crypto market makes it more profitable for some people. Each has their own unique characteristics making it fit for investment depending on people's preference in regarda to investments.

5) Always do your own research. Manipulation, hype, pump and dump, fraud, scam, hacking, and stealing, are common here in this space, and can sometimes lead people to financial loss.

Most people believe what they hear or read about crypto qithout wven verifying if it is legitimate or not. You should seek for other sources to confirm what you read or hear, or else you will be easily driven by hype or FOMO. Make your own research.

7) IT’S NOT CASH, UNTIL YOU SELL YOUR CRYPTO FOR FIAT

Agree, most people panic or rejoice whenever bitcoin price rise or fall. As long as you are not selling you do not incurr losses nor realize gain.
1066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: fairplay.live - Upcoming Bet Events - Updated Regularly on: June 01, 2019, 04:31:31 AM
I've seen your post recently and I would like to try betting on the upcoming game 2 of NBA finals since I find the website convenient to use and you can actually bet with other people without book makers. Are there any running promotions on your website for users?
1067  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Rumors confirmed: Binance margin trading coming soon on: May 31, 2019, 08:31:15 PM
I'm curious if this will also bring lending to Binance. They don't have lending yet, isn't it? With that they'll cover basically all the features of the other exchanges.

I have the same question in mind as well. Is margin trading wouldn't lead them into uncertain losses? It will be another challenging path for Binance to take after the hacking incident. It's just good to know that they're trying their best to recover and to stay on top again.
1068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SPECIAL WALLET ADDRESS GENERATOR PROTOCOL FOR EXCHANGES on: May 31, 2019, 08:12:21 PM
Or, we can teach and educate people on the importance of being their own bank and having full control over their private keys.

If people traded and withdrawn their funds instantly (most of us at least, not everyone is a daytrader) instead of keeping them on the platforms as If it was their own personal wallets, the losses would've been much less.

I agree with you. People should know how to protect their private keys and must know how to value the privacy of their wallets. However, in some cases, despite how people protect their wallets, hacking incidents still occurring in exchanges as what happened to Binance and Cryptopia. I guess that generator protocol would be a great idea to prevent hackers from moving our funds to their addresses.
1069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nearly 35 million Blockchain wallet users at the end of March 2019 on: May 31, 2019, 07:50:19 PM
That's just an indication that cyptp have gone so far and has evolved and reached a lot of people. However, those wallets for sure aren't considered as 1:1 because some users are using multiple wallets for some reasons. 35 million is still a big number. It will surely go higher once the market reaches the bull run season because it will catch people's interest even more.
1070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stronger AML Enforcement Might Actually Save Crypto on: May 31, 2019, 07:00:13 PM
Despite all the security measures offered by cryptocurrency, the government would still reject it. The government would always be an antagonist and would stay firm in ignoring it. KYC couldn't make the government accept crypto. It will always be against it as long as they couldn't manipulate it.
1071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi? on: May 31, 2019, 06:52:59 PM
I think digging too much about Satoshi wouldn't make sense anymore. If he wants to expose himself then it would be just easy but it's his choice to keep things in private so we must respect that. We don't know the reason why he has to hide his identity but it might be for his own safety. There are people who are trying to steal Satoshi's identity but everything won't surely work.
1072  Economy / Economics / Re: Supply and demand curve analysis, why Bitcoin does or does not change price. on: May 31, 2019, 06:29:17 PM
We really can't predict the future movement of Bitcoin even if we record and track its previous movements. There are events like halving in the future which could affect its value but we couldn't speculate the exact price of it in the future. Despite considering a lot of factors which could affect the price, there's no one who could speculate the exact value and path of Bitcoin.
1073  Economy / Speculation / Re: If history repeats itself, we could be in for a rally in June on: May 31, 2019, 06:08:46 PM
Bitcoin has been really surprising these days. It could possibly reach a better by June. The correction is done and the price is getting stable by $8k. Most speculators are having the same expectations. There would be huge dumps once the price goes up again but it will surely strike higher.
1074  Economy / Economics / Re: Looking at Bitcoin's price increase via YEARLY LOWS on: May 31, 2019, 05:36:45 PM
That's the reason why Bitcoin is considered as a great way of investing. It's best for a long term hold. However, the difference if dollar could remain stable on the same value but Btc could drop down despite the fact that it could rise higher than Usd because of its volatility.
1075  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whales are out of control = $500 in ten minutes on: May 31, 2019, 12:59:27 PM
The changes depend on the supply and demand of Bitcoin. After all, investors are still the ones who will decide on how they will play the game of trading and investing. We all know that most holders are depending on the basic rule of trading which is to sell high and to buy low and that has a big impact on the market.
1076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meet The Man Behind who started "india wants crypto" Movement on: May 31, 2019, 11:51:18 AM
He did the right thing to help develop the cryptocurrency in India but I think things didn't work the way he wanted because India has been banning and stopping their people to support and use crypto services. We all know that India is an independent country and they're not open for adoptions.
1077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is better than gold and USD? on: May 31, 2019, 09:12:22 AM
I do not think Bitcoin is better than Gold and USD. Yes, Bitcoin is the most expensive and influential cryptocurrency of this period. Bitcoin preference is more than all the other crypto currency. Bitcoin acceptability is very high and it is increasing day by day. But it is better not to compare gold or USD with bitcoin. I saw many posts where Bitcoin is better than gold and USD. My point is that Bitcoin is the crypto currency, on the other hand, gold is one of the natural resources and USD is the real currency. So how is Bitcoin compared with gold or USD and is called Bitcoin gold and better than USD? Where Bitcoin Gold and USD are used in various different things and in different fields. Give your opinion.

Each is unique in it's own way and has it's own advantage and disadvantage over the other. That is why there is no real point in comparing them, there are things you can enjoy using crypto that you can't with fiat/gold and vice versa. For examlple, true that bitcoin is more convenient to have and use than fiat, howrver, there are still things where you cannot use bitcoin as payment
1078  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core Wallet or Other? on: May 31, 2019, 07:50:08 AM
Am I correct in thinking that the Full Bitcoin Core wallet is the best, most secure wallet for Bitcoin? If so, can someone send me a link to a thread on it?  Does anyone recommend another wallet besides the Bitcoin Core wallet.

I'm actually using Jaxx and I am not interested in moving towards Jaxx Liberty.  But, I don't know which way to go.

I was thinking about a dedicated portable computer or virtual image for my wallets.

Thanks

I honestly trust hardware wallet in securing my bitcoin and other altcoin than storing it in any online wallet. As long as you keep your own private key and seed phrase offline, your funds are safe.
1079  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchanges for newbies. Does it exist? on: May 31, 2019, 07:35:31 AM
Hello, I'm a newbie for all this crypto stuff, but I have some extra money and I'd like to tr trading. Could u please recommend me some exchanges for newbies? And I'd also appreciate your advice. Thank u

I've seen some test site for trading recently where you can practice trading with fake money to test your steategy. However, I forgot the name of the site. If you want to learn more about trading better to learn it your self and try out trusted platforms by using only small amount of money first to gauge your ability and to test trading. It will take time, your knowledge and experience will make you grow as a trader as time goes by, but just a piece of advice, do not rush on yearning to earn a lot of money as a newbie in trading. Take your time to grow because you might experience a lot of losses during your training process. Just be patient. Good luck.
1080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: - Show your support against power abuse in the Crypto Community - No more CSWs on: May 31, 2019, 07:25:00 AM
Just to let you know I am watching this topic. Seems like a good stand against this Craig shit.

Edit: Can we do something against Bitcoin.com? They are blatantly misleading new users in the crypto space to buy BCH shit. The site name is bitcoin.com but all their focus is to sell their BCH. The emails they send to push BCH are even worse.

I honestly like their stand against CSW which is full of shit because this might affect potential new bitcoin adoptor gaining false information about bitcoin thru CSWs claims and information about bitcoin.

However, since some people are up to support this, they should show liquidity as to the funds they are gathering and how it is used. Some might think this is a scam since they are asking for donation.
