1201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Really Burn helps Token in positive way? on: November 29, 2023, 11:37:24 PM
If you are afraid to risk your money in such tokens, then do as I did. My opinion is that it is better to invest not your own money, but those that won for example in Cash Giving Day tournament there the conditions are very simple and everyone can get a small amount for future investments
I have thought of other things on this one when you have said that people shouldn't invest with their own money. Well, I've thought of investing others money but no. It's better to invest only with your spare money from wherever it come from. Not everyday there are tournaments and not everyone is able to participate into these type of tournaments and that's why they don't have that type of money but if it's about the spare, many of us do have.
1202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin is more profitable? on: November 29, 2023, 11:06:26 PM
Indeed, Bitcoin is profitable and I have been holding that and that's why I am in profit since I have purchased and held it. As for some altcoins, they're also profitable but it's a different feeling that you're going to hold it for long. If you don't, there are other options to make aside from those altcoins and if you get tired, there's always Bitcoin that's waiting for you to hold it. You get to see why many folks are holding it and it is the main reason why this market is keeping itself up.
1203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How high will your altcoin go? check it out with this tool on: November 29, 2023, 06:36:22 PM
I used to do these calculations from the cryptos that I have held and anticipates that their market cap increases. This is a good website. I didn't know that there's one in existence but after seeing this, I guess that there are other websites too that have this type of service.
Thanks for sharing OP.

I don't think prediction is the correct term, it's more of calculation the ideal price of a coin if it's reach a certain market-cap
Yeah, it's actually calculating how much the value per coin depending on the supply and market cap of it.
1204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is SPS Splinterlands A 100x Gaming Token?! on: November 29, 2023, 05:57:35 PM
snip

We have thousands of people in our discord, it never stops, thousands of messages a day in several different chatrooms. We have people traveling from Europe, Australia and asia to meet up for Splinterlands festival in America. People flying across the world to meet up Smiley
Wow, interesting and making me enticed to what you've said. I'll go and take a look for more about SPS and Splinterlands of course. Since I am also into games, I'll go and look if I've got some spare to invest on it.
But before that, I still need to know more about the entire ecosystem of it like knowing the basics of it and its chain.

1205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins do you think are currently still cheap but have good potential for on: November 29, 2023, 05:23:58 PM
I may be wrong but that's what it is and you said what they really lack of. But it all ends up to I say that the devs haven't seen that part to maintain their position in the market.
But maybe this time, they'll look at that part to see that they need to engage a lot with their communities because if they do that. A lot of free marketing will be done towards them.
there are team that silently acting towards their upgrade or updates but we must remember that engaging to the community and the whole crypto world is the most effective way to gain investors and supporters.
what is the sense of working when after the upgrade you already lose your supporters because of lack of activities .
you are correct in this part and the ZIL team must act accordingly if they truly wanted to stay longer in this market.
You got it.
That's why he's right on it when he's said that the devs might be working hard for everything about the project. But when it's about the engagement and every stuff that needs to do for the community, they lack of it.
Anyway, Zil is still having a huge daily volume and that can be said as part of it being one of known projects still this date.
1206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk predicts X will replace banks in 2024 - The Verge on: November 29, 2023, 04:51:00 PM
IMHO, that's better be left there as fantasy. But we also knew that Elon is such a crazy guy and will try to do shits that he can for something that he wants to take.
I've heard of that plan before that he wants to do some super app and that's through Twitter and the changes are happening so, coming from that name and rebranding it into X.
Now, it's still far from replacing the banks but I know that with a short span of time if something have been changed for the better then it only means that he might do that but I am not optimistic on it.
1207  Other / Off-topic / Re: Google Drive users angry over losing months of stored data on: November 29, 2023, 02:41:34 PM
This is why if you're going to store files and data that are important to you, just treat the cloud as another backup. By that means, another backup is that you've got other backups too that are not in the cloud. Like having an external HDD/SDD where you're going to store it there or even flashdisks/flashdrives. I've been using google drive/spreadsheets for some files of mine but I am fine if I'm going to lose them because it's known that even the best tech companies that manages the cloud can f up themselves sometimes.
1208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Community Stablecoin - Idea on: November 29, 2023, 12:22:49 PM
Instead of regular centralize stablecoins, why we don't have a stablecoin with its own blockchain or a token where anyone can mint or redeem that stablecoin using ONLY Cryptocurrencies at the market price.

For example if I have 1 Eth and want to mint it into Xusd (community stablecoin) it goes like this example:

If Eth market price = $1000 I send 1 Eth to this blockchain or contract and I receive 1000 Xusd.
And it can be redeem for any Crypto at market price,
If Eth price = $2000 I send 1000 Xusd and get 0.5 Eth.
There's no need for that. Tether and other stable coins are already and also called as community stable coins. If you are going to make one, that doesn't make sense anymore. Because every new creation of a stable coin will be said, it's good for the community and it is the ideal stable coin that every members of the community. It's going to be a nonstop creation of it because that's what everyone going to aim for when they see that there's something wrong on the first one.
1209  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can we avoid tax on crypto trading in india on: November 28, 2023, 11:36:02 PM
I am not sure how strict the laws there in India but if you're planning to avoid tax, you'll be punished for sure. If you haven't get caught doing that, you'll eventually gonna see the effect of it or you'll be sent some letters about showcase orders of what you've done.
If you don't want to get some headaches doing so, get out of the country and withdraw you money as what people suggests you to do. Then if you don't want to, you have to obey.
1210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: xrp future and your opinion? on: November 28, 2023, 10:57:29 PM
XRP It has been quite resistant to thinking about its low value as a unit but at some point it will go through the roof
We will never know but we will not find out that as well because it seems that it has been on the roof on 2017 bull run and that makes it not coming back there anymore. While being optimistic is fine, looking at the exact numbers and market cap of it won't be determined then.
What can happen is it can reach $1 first and then from there, people will start to see that there's a significance to the speculations that it can be back to at least $3 for the next bull run. And with all of that, this is not a financial advise and I'm not holding XRP but only uses it for transfers.  Cheesy
1211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins do you think are currently still cheap but have good potential for on: November 28, 2023, 10:28:49 PM
I remember ZIL but it seems that it is out of hand right now and the popularity of it that has it gained before wasn't taken cared of by the devs.
I may not agree with what you said since the Dev are doing their best in some areas that have to do with upgrades in service and mechanism.
I believe what the project lacks is marketing and crypto community engagement.
I may be wrong but that's what it is and you said what they really lack of. But it all ends up to I say that the devs haven't seen that part to maintain their position in the market.

I remember ZIL but it seems that it is out of hand right now and the popularity of it that has it gained before wasn't taken cared of by the devs.

I have also been a victim of this and I know how it feels when you invest $1000 in a coin and then you see that the worth of your coins is around $100 or even lower than that, it's a nightmare for the trader or investor because you invested to gain profits but you have lost more than 90% of your investment.
That's why we need to be careful and don't just get into a coin because of the hype and promotions. I guess many of us have been a victim and have got losses from these feelings of ours through FOMO.
1213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is SPS Splinterlands A 100x Gaming Token?! on: November 28, 2023, 09:15:06 PM
Land is finally launching today after 2 years of waiting, hopefully, everything goes smooth.
I didn't know that but I'll take a look and see on how is going to be. But IMHO, the timing is good because we all know what comes next year and that's also going to affect every game. And as long as there is a demand, it's probably that will be better than the past years.

how did this project manage to survive the market and keep its token value?
I guess that there are just really loyal players and the devs have managed to maintain that through updates that they've made which was liked by the investors/players.
1214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USTC drama on: November 28, 2023, 08:42:11 PM
It's not worth it when you're trying to rush to trade with that coin. Don't ride on them because you might be the pig that will get slaughtered with it trying to get some pump.
You all know where it has come from and that only means that you should avoid it. But if you think that you want to trade it and that makes you a risky trader, get out of it and make profit as soon as possible.
1215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Compounding altcoin profits in bull run? on: November 28, 2023, 01:00:31 PM
I hold quite a few altcoins and some of them have almost seen 100% profit in less than a week lately and it got me thinking how I can make the most of this volatility.

I am thinking of starting with £100 and compounding profits jumping from one altcoin to another.

For example starting with £100, i see 100% profit so then put £200 onto another altcoin which also sees 100% profit so i now have £400 and just keep doing that until I reach an amount I am happy with.

I know this is risky as it only takes one altcoin to go to zero to lose my money but I am ok starting with £100 - does anyone else do this?
You mean trading, right?
If you can do that with trading then follow what you think is doable. If you can compound your altcoins profit during the bull run and as you start today, see if you can do it.
Not everyone can do this much and have this set of plan to make during the entire year or before the bull run comes. Because if this is all about trading it looks promising but hard to execute.
1216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: COULD TERRA CLASSIC BE POISED FOR A RALLY on: November 28, 2023, 10:33:13 AM
I don't understand how this coin can be traded if there are such problems with the CEO, I also see that the trading volumes are huge... somehow it doesn't inspire confidence.  Maybe some positive news influenced this growth?  For example, I haven't heard it
It's because of the investors that has still this token. When the fiasco has happened, IIRC, there have been airdrops for a new token and this has remained for those that still held it.
So, for those that have lost a lot for this coin never give up and are still waiting for them to recover. But whether they're fortunate enough or not, it's no use to get interested on a coin that has already made a big issue and had dropped a lot of its value.

The rocket is taking off... Smiley
I've seen a few NFT/gaming tokens have pumped a bit this season and I think everyone should be thankful to Bitcoin for these increases and that is the main reason why we're seeing these pumps.
Splinterlands is one of the games that I'd like to play before but when I have seen that most of these games have fell down in value and it's more of a hype that's built on them, I have never checked them again.
For your holdings on SPS, if it's pumping now then I wish that you recover or make money from this moment.

None of the in-game assets have fallen nearly as much as the governance token (sps) The nft's didn't even fall as much as bitcoin. Runi, an ingame corssbridge nft is actually up 300% during the bear market. SPS is only a tiny fraction of the overall economy of Splinterlands  Smiley
Interesting, I'll take a look at that since I didn't really played the game but only based on the token itself.

Splinterlands is one of the games that I'd like to play before but when I have seen that most of these games have fell down in value and it's more of a hype that's built on them, I have never checked them again.

I have played couple other games on Hive chain aside from Splinterlands, which were dcity and dcrops — both are still thriving. They don't have any hype, I would rather say that they deserve some hype.

Hive chain is itself underrated, what these evm chains are trying to achieve these days or made buzz around for things such as ENS, steem/hive accomplished it long ago.
Yeah, when you say underrated they really are. I've heard of hive chain before but didn't dived into it so interest isn't that much. Well, it's good to see that there are still projects like this that have been there for so long and never depend on hype.
1218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zugacoin vs bitcoin. on: November 28, 2023, 08:47:59 AM
I wonder how much the volume was when it has reached that crazy price. Because this is the obvious manipulation that happens to a specific token. It's only listed on one exchange and the volume now was completely dead together with its price. I think this was all done by the developers that made them attracted a lot of fools that have rode the hype that they've made. When it's projects like this that goes as high as they can, it's just a crazy pump and dump scheme made by the devs. Look now, it's almost dead.
1219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: look, look, what's this on: November 27, 2023, 11:43:56 PM
IMO, it's still going to require internet connection for one to trade. But I understand about bluetooth connections, GPRS or even infrared and this requires that there's another person that you have to trade with. I think that's what OP is talking about and not connecting to the exchanges but software that can be applied and make a p2p trade and transfer through having those connections that I have mentioned. IMO, that's a good one and ideal way to transfer when there's no internet connection is around. Maybe we'll see that happen soon.
