141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to safely store big amounts of BTC? on: July 31, 2019, 04:53:35 AM
I am not a fan of storing your coins into multiple wallets. Tho, storing your seeds into multiple platforms are advisable because that is the only thing that you will need if you lost your wallet.

Ironically bitcoin is created on a digital platform but keeping your seeds offline is the best practice that you could do. If you lived in a first class countries where vaults are pretty common that buying that one might save both of your seeds and hardware wallets
142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Operating Online Casino -- Need License? on: July 30, 2019, 04:53:34 AM
First of all you are running a business and by law every business should have a license. Especially the type of businesses that requires a certain user to at least be in the legal age to be able to use your business's services.

As I have known in most part of the world businesses that involves "sexuality","alcohol","gambling","smoking" undergoes a very long process in getting their licenses to ensure that a certain user or consumer are being protected by the law. To simply answer your question "yes it is a must"
143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you store your crypto on: July 30, 2019, 02:58:21 AM
I would like to answer your question based on your needs. For me there are three things that a certain crypto holder needs to consider if you are going to choose a wallet that suites according to your needs.

In most cases we are  always looking for the best possible security features that we could get and the best option for that is a hardware wallet.
Best hardware wallets that you can probably consider are:

Trezor and Ledger Hardware Wallets. Now for me basically this wallets purpose are for hardly storing your coins that you are not spending each time.

Now if you are a day trader or have been spending your coins everyday and you need to have an easy access to it by the comfort of your home you can possibly be using a desktop wallet.

The best options  are:
Electrum and bitcoin core.

There are other wallet types that you can use but I think the last relatively safe wallet would be your mobile wallet. When you are the type of person who are always on the go then this will be the best option for you..

The best options are:
Electrum and Mycelium
144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Celebrities you probably don't know were(are) aggressive gamblers on: July 26, 2019, 05:23:45 AM
This celebrities are very rich and have a whole lot of money to throw around, I think they simply gamble for fun or as a competition between their rich friends, though due to their wealth, their stakes go very high.
I am not surprised they gamble and I see nothing wrong with it, the fact they are celebrities doesn't make them less of humans, we all get the urge to gamble once in a while, then why not them.I also doubt they spend more time on gambling than their families, maybe their career, but not gambling.

Gambling is really common with the celebrities. I also see nothing wrong with it especially if it is a sports betting to support their team or fighters.

The bad thing boils down to addiction. Just like what happens to Iverson. Considering the fact that he already did retired. He even risks his endorsement from rebook when he got kicked out because of his gambling addiction
145  Economy / Economics / Re: IS THIS HOW USD IS CREATED? on: July 25, 2019, 11:18:40 PM

This is the fractional reserve system. The banks only ever have a fraction of all their account balances in reserve, and why a "bank run" is possible; too many people trying to withdraw their money all at once can cause the bank to collapse as it quickly runs out of reserves.

Thank you so much for this information. I realized now that it might be the main reason why you can't just withdraw as much as you can on a certain bank(I am referring to the maximum cash withdrawal per day). Because they were trying to protect a possible bank run. I can now differ to a bank's capabilities on how much their reserves are performing the higher the maximum with per day the higher the reserved that they have.

I think a possible bank run will never happen in the Philippine banks. Because aside from having a maximum daily withdrawal on the atm machines. The slower services will affect the total number of people who can withdraw during that day period

146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Unforgettable Gambling Stories... on: July 25, 2019, 02:45:19 PM
I have a funny gambling experience as well. During back in college I am getting used of being alone because aside from I don't have a previous highschool classmate who went to the same course with me.. I am also a shy kid back then and as a fresh grad I was really left out. However I have found some classmates who accompanied me.

They are the so called lefties in the class community. Who are always absent in the class but always present on the drinking session. Fast forward, they brought me at the back houses outside our school and there I saw them gambling a unique game but is known in the philippines street gambling. I forgot the name of the game but the game mechanics is simple. You have to guess the 12 digit serial number at the back of the 20 peso bill. If who gets the  closest wins the game.

I did not play the game but the exciting and scary part is during that moment a police operations happens on the few houses away where we stayed and somebody shouted. So all of us got shocked and have immediately evacuated. Then here comes the tv news in the evening where I found out that one of my classmates who accompanied me was caught. That was the last time that I have followed them lol. 2 years after I graduated  I went back to that place and the gambling there are still rampant  having the maritime students as their main gamblers
147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: July 25, 2019, 01:50:28 PM
The only thing that confuses me right now is that why Floyd showed interest in the last fight of Pacman. If I am not mistaken he was on the same ring during pacman's introductory.

There is clearly a marketing that is happening right now. I am seeing is that Floyd will try to look at if they can still get the number of fanbase for this fight if it happens
148  Other / Meta / Re: Will Merits get wasted if the account is banned? on: July 25, 2019, 08:54:39 AM
First of all, someone is not getting banned for no such reasons.

If I am not mistaken also the merit should not go to waste since even if the account got banned the post will remain and can still be read by other users who might need the information. Unless if the merited post was the reason why that certain account was banned (it might be plagiarized or etc.)

An appeal should be made to make it quite formal. Mods right now are quite open minded right now when it comes to perma ban appeals.
149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is for scammers, yea right! on: July 25, 2019, 06:19:35 AM
To be honest, whatever can be used as a scam depends on the personalities of each person.

It is very easy to deceive people in modern times, such as utilizing the issue of bitcoin or cryptocurrency, but later you will get karma or your own bad reply for your actions.

Stay good and wise.

Yeah let's say you are right but the fact that bitcoin is one of the easiest tool that a scammer can use makes it really frustrating because of the anonymity feature of bitcoin. It became one of the greatest scammer's safe heaven. Aside from that the blackmarket bitcoin used is rampant , I still remember before that there are certain terrorists posting on the blackmarket buying weapons which is pretty scary
150  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Mga dahilan ng mga deleted posts sa forum on: July 25, 2019, 03:42:45 AM
Base sa observation and na experience ko. This are the primary reasons why your posts were deleted aside from the obvious spam posts like one line posting "agree", " You are right" etc.

1. OT - This can be the primary reason. your post is completely off topic or have been said a lot of times already so you should really have to be careful in posting from mega threads as you cannot really read all of the post from the top.

2. Swarmed Threads - This are the mega threads that I was talking about. No matter how good your posts if the mods decided to cut the thread sometimes your posts will get deleted as well.

3. Your posts are not precised - Yung tipong kahit ikaw nalilito sa posts mo even if you have the point but you can't express it rightfully (like pa ulit ulit ka nlng sa point) sometimes that can be deleted.

So make sure lang talaga as much as possible your post is completely relevent sa topic. be careful in quoting someones posts dahil minsan dyan mo nlng binibase yung post mo not knowing na irrelevant din yung post ng na quote mo
151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Celebrities you probably don't know were(are) aggressive gamblers on: July 25, 2019, 02:39:12 AM
Charlie is charlie lol let's move on. On the part of Floyd and Jordan they are both athletes who loves their sports so much so betting on your favorite team or fighter can probably be a normal thing for them.

The list is completely lacking. You should also include Allen Iverson which is probably has the worst case of them all.Tiger woods can also be on the list as he is also a fan of blackjack and usually do a high rolling
152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Iran legalizes mining on: July 24, 2019, 12:25:57 PM
Sounds weird, They are now allowing bitcoin miners but they did not clear their stands with regards to bitcoin trading. As we can remember that trading from other countries are not allowed.

So how can the miners prioritize the benefits if they can't sell it out. Is the government planning to buy all the mined coins?
153  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Good news to crypto:Coinbase has passed 30million users this month on: July 24, 2019, 08:37:31 AM
I think it is still a positive progress towards the community. Even if we all do know what Coinbase's current reputation when it comes to data privacy, some users will don't actually care too much with regards to their privacy and will still prefer to have a convenient way for their crypto transactions.

For me, this are just fine as long as you don't put all your coins on that site unless you really just wan to trade it directly to FIAT. Because it is still the easiest and safest way to do so rather than being scammed by someone doing the peer to peer trades
154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fortnite World Cup on: July 24, 2019, 06:37:31 AM
Prequalifiers are still on going Except from  NA-West

Here is the list of all players who qualifies
https://www.epicgames.com/fortnite/competitive/en-US/events/world-cup/apiStandings/week-1?r=0

I have a question that what do you think is that these games haven't reached in sportsbooks yet. They are having a good hype at the moment especially Pubg and fortnite. Is it that they haven't reached to that level as like CS,DOTA, LOL or maybe the game is still in development since there are too much bugs and lots of hacks and cheats in these games or other reason?

Sorry OP for kinda making a little out of topic but I really want to know what people think about it.

It is because this type of games are completely new and also it's game style which is a battle royale and are actually not famous before. Hacks are also rampant in CSGO but the thing here is that it have already established it's name to the world of E-sports. What I am talking about is the fanbase support. Fortnite just recently made a world cup and it is already slowly gaining popularity. It is actually being added some sports book but isn't yet in the crypto world.
155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling destitute on: July 24, 2019, 05:42:52 AM

They probably don't deserve their professional titles if they do not stick to their training/experience by avoiding greed and other mistakes inexperienced gamblers make.

That's the reality tho, most of us thinks that a professional gamblers do always win the house which is ultimately wrong. Losing because of making a bad decision for a certain game won't make a professional gambler labeled as "don't deserving" to what their profession is. Most of them tho will overcome this during their next gambling session while others also don't.
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: July 24, 2019, 04:48:01 AM
But the money he got from endorsements is just peanut though as compare to fighting Manny which is going to be the biggest fight ever again. He goes out prior to the announcing of the winner in the Pacquiao-Thurman, because he knows for sure that he will be called out by Manny, hehehehe. He will be tempted to come back and fight Manny one last time -- if the price is right.  Grin
Wrong, the money that Mayweather are getting from the endorsements are actually really high and mind that he is just doing nothing about it just smiling to everyone wearing the products can be the easiest money making every athlete can make. He currently have all the money that he could ever imagined from businesses down to endorsement and any other investments.

Take a look at the recent Instagram post of Floyd Mayweather and check if there's a hint of a rematch in the next coming months or perhaps years

"I find it real ironic how every time Pacquiao's name is brought up in the media, my name is always attached to it. This man's entire legacy and career has been built off its association with my name and it's about time you all stop using my brand for clout chasing and clickbait and let that man's name hold weight of its own. For years, all you heard was that " Floyd is afraid of Manny Pacquiao". But what's funny is, when we finally fought, I won so easily that everyone had to eat their words! All of the so called boxing experts, critics and jealous American "fan base" either went mute and ran for cover or made every excuse in the world as to why I should give Manny Pacquiao a rematch. My take on all this bullshit is that y’all are just upset that I broke Rocky Marciano's record and hate the fact that a Black, high school dropout outsmarted you all by beating all odds and retiring undefeated while maintaining all my faculties simply by making smart choices and even smarter investments. Ultimately, I will always have the last laugh!"

He is making money without breaking a sweat. He will not give up that record because if he did, his market value will go down and Senator Manny's market value will skyrocket.

I think what matters most to Floyd right now is his pride (but then again lol even he has that record he didn't gain the respect of the fans unless he can convincingly defeat Pacman). Based on his statement he clearly stands for his pride and to be fair here is what have pacman said about the latest twits from floyd

157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think a "winning mindset" can get you what you want while gambling? on: July 24, 2019, 04:34:41 AM
Better go with no expectation rather than winning the bets because if we are on mindset of winning the bets if we lost the games we keep on trying and tend to lose more money so just let that to happen and keep yourself with your limits.

Cause that it is how supposed to be. If we are gonna think about it gamblers who gamble having no too much emotions were able to win games more frequently. Expectations will just leads to disappointment and eventually to depression.

Tho, I must say that having a "positive mindset" rather than "winning mindset" is more reasonable.
158  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Blockchain Projects in Northeast Asia can change the economy? on: July 24, 2019, 04:06:31 AM
Every startup projects can really have good impact to its local economy especially if it will succeed. Japan to be exact as an example we know how the Japanese economy has been struggling from their all time peak for decades.

But within the past years after Japan started to make decent amounts of crypto related projects slowly they are again overcoming the challenges and if this will continue Japan might not just be able to reach their all time high during earl 80's but they might overcome it as well.

159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fortnite World Cup on: July 23, 2019, 08:14:37 AM
I don't think Fortnite is much of an eSports title, it's fine for streaming I guess (though I don't like it personally) but I don't think it'd fit as an eSport.
LoL, DOTA, Overwatch, CS, they all require teamwork, coordination and skills; those are similar traits with classic sports.
But I see Fortnite as nothing more than a single player battle.

By the way the only eSports betting site I know is sportsbet and they don't seem to offer a choice for Fortnite (disclaimer: I have no affiliation nor promoting sportsbet, do your own research as to if they're reliable)

Fortnite team battle can still be really good for tournaments. Maybe you don't know that it is actually possible to have a team fight on fortnite. The real thing here is that crypto world usually are only interested with the biggest esports tournament and unfortunately as of the moment Fortnite is still not yet one of them
160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman on July 20 on: July 23, 2019, 06:58:58 AM
Did you also see the late round? Haven't you notice that he was slowing in the late rounds and Thurman is hitting more clean shots.
Manny won via SD, but the fight showed he slowed a bit and he does not have a knock out punch against a well condition fighter.

I have noticed it starting from round 4 Pacman really is slowing and it only shows that he is really not getting younger. I know it from the start that pacman  will eventually slows down and will not be able to finish  the fight with some astonishing KO. But comeone dude Thurman is much younger much stronger than pacman he didn't even get a knockdown score to a 40 year old boxer  Grin Grin
