281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto news website CCN going to be shutdown due to google on: June 11, 2019, 03:06:24 AM
Most websites that are affected were on the news (category). Basically based on the article Google is more likely focusing on the SEO because that is how they will distribute their ads.

It is not surprising at all that most of the affected sites are crypto related as Google does not fully support it. Crypto advertisers cannot simply put their ads as it may not pass on google's verification therefore it will cause a pure domino effect to all crypto related sites who lacks crypto related ads which actually makes since.

That shows the reality of media today's. Without ads revenue, they're nothing. This is sad but Journalism depends on advertisements
In the case of CCN I am surprised they give up so quickly, I even wonder if it's not a buzz attempt. Google algorithms are dynamics and not fixed. Who would shut down a site that still makes $.

Agree most of the news sites right now are having the same articles. The problem with CCN right now is they rely their team's salary based on the ad revenues and by that being said it is really not surprising if they would quit that easily if they can no longer pay their staffs.

What do you think after see these pics? Easy money, isn't it? Just throwing some bucks on game, and it turned multiple times just in a second.

If you are going to define "easy money".
Quote
money obtained by dubious means or for little work.
https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/easy-money

By that being said. It doesn't mean that when you win in gambling you are not putting such efforts because it isn't there are some strategies that is behind the certain luck evidence that you have provided.

Therefore it is very subjective tho, easy money really do work on gambling for a very very low percentage and if you are going to depend on your luck just because you have saw someone got it then you will surely be one of the Gambling "easy money" scheme just like the others and just like the Bitcoin "Easy Money" ideology.
283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling frustration and depression on: June 09, 2019, 06:53:51 AM
Frustration and depression come mostly when we make gambling as the main way to get money and we play beyond our limits. I experienced such feeling too in the past just before I realized that gambling could lead me into the hard situation if I keep playing and obey my greed.

That is what a poor mindset does. A person having a poor mindset will always think of a way that he or she can do to make easy bucks.
Therefore it will always be a matter of decision making. Tho, by this depression there are also some who can overcome the said situation and will go back more prepaired , much wiser and careful.
284  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Fueling the Gig Economy on: June 08, 2019, 12:35:45 PM
@davis

I don't agree with you mr. Maybe in US it is impossible to do freelancing gig as a living where the prices are also not that cheap

But if you do live on a third world country exploring blockchain technology can already provide you enough to live(maybe you were trying to define living as a luxurious kind of living)
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is anonymous betting a desired feature? on: June 08, 2019, 08:16:13 AM
Probably the main purpose of a gambler (gambling on any sites) is because it is anonymous and much more convenient. Therefore as long as you can keep the amount safe and traceable for future purposes then it is really a good idea to put that certain features.

By giving that option you can get more potential users (1. Those who prefer registrations and those who don't).
286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling frustration and depression on: June 08, 2019, 07:01:03 AM
This is what happens when you take gambling to a level where you bet even the funds allocated for something else (food, education, etc.). It's true that you can double your money in no time in gambling but you can quickly lose as well.

That is the whole point, spending a lot of money and not having the financial freedom is completely wrong. Gambling can give excitement for entertainment and if you are not planning to become a professional gambler. Setting up limits will always be the best options.

I just wonder why there are a lot of (educated people) who wasn't able to think the far ahead situation
287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling frustration and depression on: June 08, 2019, 01:51:43 AM
There are 2 things that you have to consider if you want to gamble because yes it will somehow leads you to the wrong path and gets depressed by the results that you experienced.

First is you have that financial freedom second is if you don't have the financial freedom always have take responsibility to only gamble the certain amounts you can't afford to lose. Else you will lose everything that you have then eventually leads you to depression.
288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: June 08, 2019, 01:18:53 AM
This is what I really like about NBA, lol anything can happen it is a pure living proof that Kawhi Leonard's Highest peak of his career and also shows that even the current power house team will still have  a hard time just like what happened to them when lebron fought them in the finals and now its the young man.
289  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How to life Life with finacial freedom on: June 07, 2019, 11:25:24 AM
If you have financial freedom, there is still much to achieve. You could work on strengthening your body, your mind, or your family. You could donate your time to good causes, or relax and enjoy a hobby.

In short you should invest on your well being and wellness, that should always be the ultimate goal. I haven't realized it before I got sick and got out from my day job but it is not easy to be health wealthy because as we all know by now if you are living on a rural area it is quite expensive.

So being financially free , you should put more on that part of your life
290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Global problems of cryptocurrency that cannot be sold by humanity on: June 07, 2019, 11:12:45 AM
1. The exchanges are weak. There are more and more cases when hackers steal a huge amount of money and we can't do nothing with it
2. There's not enough privacy and security. U say blokchain is private and secure but what about frauds that leads to kyc protocols integration
3. Manipulations on the market. Usual ppl just lose because of that
Do u have any solutions?

1. There are really no perfect system and so don't rely too much on any exchangers.
2. KYC protocols are only applicable to services such as exchangers and not from the blockchain itself that we are saying. You have the full rights not to do participate with this services.
3. Market Manipulations might really be happening and the only way we could solved it is to have the proper distribution of coins.

The problem that you have stated can actually be possibly solve by us users. When hackers steal your money then it will answer to your question #2 since you can't claim it the hacker is private.
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More Bitcoin commercials coming!!! on: June 07, 2019, 06:28:47 AM
They are actually just promoting their products not bitcoin totally. Therefore this promotion can more likely attracts bitcoin users to use their app and has a very little possibility of getting an attention to a none bitcoin user.

In short this does not actually make a so much impact when it comes to bitcoin popularity but this might encourage bitcoin users to be an entrepreneur which will eventually make bitcoin economy slightly better.

The log looks suspicious,
I have been logging from various locations, but some are definitely out of my recognised range.
Country is the same, but very strange IP locations popping out here and there.
I am going to change my password anyway.
This is the minimum required action.
But anyway this log need some double checking.

That is because of your service provider. I am not so sure if that is because they are using the Ip from the towers you are at.

Just like in the philippines the service provider just really sucks. You might even get similar IP from other people who uses the same service.

As long as you can recognize the date youve log in. I think thats just fine
293  Other / Meta / Re: Should there be a bitcointalk app? on: June 06, 2019, 06:22:41 AM
I am not sure if how the mobile responsive thing can solve the UI issues or the difficulties that we are currently experiencing right now cause mostly what the mobile responsive thing can do is just to make the site looks good on your phone but It can't actually do a lot of changes when it comes to your functionality.

Mobile responsiveness can definitely fix the issues. Check the link I provided. Mobile responsiveness can also fix UX also, not only UI.

What specific functionalities are you looking for in the first place?

Yeah I have seen it already I've already encountered some Ux issues which actually really makes it quite difficult to address unlike making an app which is actually made just for phones. Upon testing it this still really have to fix a lot of things.

I was actually referring to the copy pasting of quotes and filtering your quote is quite hard in mobile since you are touching it and sliding around instead of using mouse. Hopefully they can come up with idea on how to make that one easier on your phone practicing the mobile responsive site instead of an app.

to be notified by e-mail whenever a PM is sent from your account?
There is actually an option like this. I've been receiving email notifications everytime a got a pmed.

I think the best thing to do right now than waiting for theymos to do your suggestions which is actually has a very  small percentage of getting considered. Try to add a 2fa security for a higher security of your account. Here is a very good guide

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5041789.0;all

Here as well
Why even bother to use Google Authenticator? You can download a open source 2FA app such as andOTP[1] that has the option to backup and restore 2FA codes. Then, you can just set up your 2FA and upload an encrypted backup to any free cloud provider you want. Never losing access to your accounts again.

Note: It is mainly your responsibility to take good care of your account and add up as much security as you can so you don't have to rely on the current forum features.
295  Other / Meta / Re: Should there be a bitcointalk app? on: June 05, 2019, 01:05:17 PM
If developing application means an easier and convenient way of posting then I'll probably go for it. Posting on computer might be much easier for now but if the application that is made can also give the same feature that is a phone friendly then we can still enjoy the benefits of posting anywhere you want

When you want to launch an APP on playstore you need to make compromises with Google so it is completely wrong to give details of an decentralized platform to centralized company.

If this forum will create an app but is quite hesitant with the centralized company like google. We can simply not put it in the playstore, by simply adding a download link in this forum is already enough. Developers can run the application without a single touch from google.

Wait for Epochtalk to be developed more, for Bitcointalk to hopefully migrate to that new forum software in the future. Epochtalk is already responsive in terms of UI so an app would be quite unnecessary.

A member of this forum created a forum that uses Epochtalk, specifically to test the new software. Check it out if you're interested: https://www.cryptos-currencies.com

I am not sure if how the mobile responsive thing can solve the UI issues or the difficulties that we are currently experiencing right now cause mostly what the mobile responsive thing can do is just to make the site looks good on your phone but It can't actually do a lot of changes when it comes to your functionality.

Why not to try your ASCII blocks in here, by previewing your post? For me it works the best.

Do you design your blocks just straight in the reply box or do you at least use notepad? No matter what I do they just look broken. I made a grid of 0s in note++, tested this M design there, replaced the 0 with spaces and then placed it here. Looks like cat vomit. Pasted it in notepad and it looks kinda different. I bet that would also be the case had it been made first in note pad instead. Every time I'm in the forum it's the only thing I've been doing. Paste, update, refresh.  Grin

Looks like I just can't get this right. Kudos to your design skills, this thing ain't easy and that's just the blocks, no codes yet.

As per Op you have to insert it into a quote and actually op have provided a template for the signature designs. And as per op mate using ASICS images is just the best thing to use for your signature designs as they will look good in the newest browser and you can also always hit the preview button to check if it is already looking what you've wanted
297  Economy / Services / Re: Hero - Signature and ad space for rent(30min post /week) on: June 04, 2019, 02:20:35 PM

I think you misunderstood my words there.
It shouldn't be like saying publicly even if you're offering such things that I'd call as a discount on 5 weeks rather than 1 week free on buying 4 - that's how I see it.
I get it thanks

Quote

I never said that you will compromise your quality if you give a week or two free to your customer, you never should because that would affect their reviews about your services only. It's good if you really maintain your quality at the same or even better levels and provide best of the best services to your customers.

That is just maybe how it sounds to me sorry for that tho and yes you are right regardless of anything else my main priority should still be providing  at least a good service to my client.

Quote
I'd suggest you something over this as well.
Don't use those words like if they won't like your service, you'll do what they say. Instead, just set some terms for any such conditions if ever arise, because your client may demand for anything which you may not find suitable for your reputation or your service itself.

Nope I won't do anything that they say that is why we have a personal message or they can even post their terms in here for transparency and we will only proceed with the business once both parties are ok with the agreed rules.  There might just some cases that they will let you stop for such reasons and I was referring to that by that statement.
298  Other / Meta / Re: Post quality - evaluation on: June 04, 2019, 03:25:05 AM
Mining section sometimes can really be so strict as most of the people posting their really have a high knowledge of how things are currently working and basically in my own opinion they considered your post as a low quality one and does not contribute to their discussion.

As for the first one maybe their are already good details posted before you that already have answered your question.

Same goes to the second one you are asking something that may already have an answer that you should explore. (For me the second one really just make no sense)

So if you aren't gonna be posting a techy stuffs right there you just gonna stay and watch until you will be able to create a useful one (based on their standards) because if the Mods alone is responsible for that you have to meet his standards else if users have reported your post then also make sure to meet their standards.

Edit: Note that even philip which is a good contributor the mining boards have been facing some edits or even deleted post that just means that the mods their is really up on the highest standards as possible.

Bitcoin as well can also be in the category of money dahil nga sa store of value na sinasabi mo. Pero obviously bitcoin is a digital currency which is a unique type of currency dahil sa decentralized feature nito na hindi pde angkinin ng any country.

Fact: The founder and early bitcoin users considered it as digital currency that is why it is named "cryptocurrency" so wag na natin i complicate ang ideang ito hehe.
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The real Satoshi? on: June 04, 2019, 01:39:34 AM
If we are going to based his backgrounds, skillset and ideas he can really be a good candidate to the real Satoshi as they are basing the writing style of paul to Satoshi. However the very big question that came into my mind after reading the whole story.

If Paul is really the real satoshi who is now in Jail (the fact that he is currently in Jail and was been investigated already. I think it is rarely impossible that the investigation team won't be able to find any trace of him as the founder of Bitcoin). The writing style also can easily be copied or having a similarity is not that very solid proof.
