21  Other / Meta / Re: If Bitcoin crashes would this forum still exist? on: July 23, 2021, 03:20:04 AM
I kinda feel the ironic point of view actually. Come to think of it, if the bitcoin price crashes massively. Those who quit might actually be interested in investing back since it is more affordable. In fact, most of us are actually thinking that a massive drop in its value can actually be good for the bitcoin economy. As it becomes more stable and affordable to use in our primary transactions minding how ridiculous fees are.

Going back to the question. The simplest answer will depend on the admin's budget lol
22  Other / Meta / Re: Is Bitcointalk.org losing user base? on: July 22, 2021, 11:01:10 PM
It looks like you've summed it up pretty well from all the poster responses in this thread and all the point you've inferred are mostly real from this forum and we can't deny that.

For newbie, I've made several attempt to encourage people I know to learn about bitcoin and more from this forum. Most of them are not interested in contributing due to strict rule that make it difficult for them to develop themselve and their account but they are only interested in trading and becoming bounty hunter.

It is undeniable that most newbie are only seen as poster who just fill in all their post history with report on social media assignment in the bounty thread. They are interested in money compared to knowledge and in my opinion only 10 out of 100 or maybe lower than newbie it seem like people are willing to learn about bitcoin if we go through their post history.

Has and always been the problem especially if you are in a country where people are less knowledgeable. Here are my common experiences when trying to convince the people around me of what needs to be done or to know before investing in crypto.

Crypto is somehow being recognized more in my home country and a lot are trying to test their luck in this environment. I suggested visiting this forum so that they will be involved in a community where they can get a lot of information. Sadly 90% of those became less interested upon checking the forum for the first time and would prefer discussing things in social media (eg: FB). While the other 5% are swallowed in the bounty hunting section.

The sad part of that 90% is that almost all got scammed because of the "ignorance" and focusing more on the "quick rich scheme". I ask some of them why they feel that being here is not worth their time. The response that I am getting is they think that most of the articles in here are crap (I can't somehow blame them tho).

23  Other / Meta / Re: Is Bitcointalk.org losing user base? on: July 22, 2021, 07:10:33 AM
What do you think? Do you think forum is losing userbase and this is a bad thing? Are there other reasons this is happening and other solutions?
How about the evil fee paid that spammers already know how to bypass with VPN and DPN. Real newbies do not know how to bypass the evil fee while many of them do not even know how to make use of Bitcoin at the time of registration. They just left the forum because even many of them think the transaction fee for Bitcoin is high like $20 because most of them are misled by the exchanges they are using. How many people will want to pay such high fee. It will be good if there is another solution instead of the evil fee paid.

Also we need new forum software, we need forum app, especially the mobile app which will have beautiful UI.

But about that charts, smerit were pre-generated for users at the start of merit system in accordance to individual rank, spammers were sending merit at the time even to each other. But there suppose to be an increase after the sometimes as users are increasing, this makes your post valid.

101% agrees to this. I've been inactively posting on the forum for quite some time because of my busy schedule. I have an eye problem and navigating the forum on my mobile phone really sucks a lot. And because of that and it somehow discourages me to visit the forum at all.

I know there are still people who think that we don't need the app. But someone guys we are on the 21st generation already we need to adapt to these changes and we need to hurry up or it might get too late who knows

I also don't think na basta basta lng baba ang prices and if ever na baba ito possibleng papa lobog narin yung laro.
25  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Axie Infinity Philippine Thread on: July 09, 2021, 02:34:47 AM
Is it still worth it to invest? Siguro I am planning to have a 30k PHP investment but I am still doing my research medyo risky kasi. Based on my research medyo goods na daw yung amount for starters pero maybe it will take time para ma balik yung ROI. So sa mga naka try na and medyo may alam can you give me some good advice po

27  Other / Meta / Re: Why are "Likes" turned off in this forum? on: May 21, 2021, 03:33:30 AM
A proposal to not allow users who have less than 10 merits to upvote or get upvoted is the opposite to how the merit system works. That would mean that if I like a post made by a newbie, I wouldn't be able to upvote it. If he likes a post made by me, he would also not be able to upvote my post. That's newbie jail.

I'm sorry I might discuss it the wrong way. What I really mean to say is that the user who has less than 10 merits can't upvote ( or to put them in a better situation their upvote count will be separated to other colors, for example, upvotes from a user who has more than 10 merits is green while for < 10 will be yellow) but their post can still be upvoted.  I am not sure tho if this is an important thing to discuss lol
28  Other / Meta / Re: Why are "Likes" turned off in this forum? on: May 20, 2021, 01:48:42 AM
That 10 merit requirement is unfair towards newbies and jr. members and might be considered as a newbie jail. theymos has stated he is against introducing a newbie jail and I support such a decision. If there were upvotes and likes on Bitcointalk, newbies should have the option to upvote and have their posts liked and upvoted as well.

This idea is coming from StackOverflow and it is somehow effective.  I completely understand your and theymos's stands about it. However, upvotes or likes shouldn't be really a big deal if the new accounts don't have it. We have to understand also that the forum system is different from social media. We have ranks here and certain ranks have to follow certain restrictions or given specific benefits. If your idea is to break this "That 10 merit requirement is unfair towards newbies and jr. members and might be considered as a newbie jail." then we should start removing merit systems and ranks because it is not also fair for newbies  Huh. I hope I have said my point clear because my English is quite bad.
29  Other / Meta / Re: Why are "Likes" turned off in this forum? on: May 18, 2021, 12:38:41 AM
The thing to consider is would a like button decrease the amount of spam in threads where people only post to thank the OP or to agree with him?
No, not really. In fact, we might encounter spamming issues for the "like" function just like what happened to the merit system when it started (I ain't sure if it still happening today tho).

I think it wouldn't. If someone wants to spam, he/she will do it even if there is a like button. He will write that he liked the post and give reasons why he liked it. On the other hand, if you are not a spammer, you are not going to post a simple 'thank you' or 'I agree' anyways.

Introducing likes would make me question if a post is just like-worthy or merit-worthy. It's good enough for a like, but should I also merit it...
Maybe if we set upvoting function rules like only allowing upvotes to those people who got more than 10 merits or something might lessen the spamming activity but not guaranteed. upvotes can then be considered as one good criterion if the post is worth merit points.
30  Other / Meta / Re: Should all scam busting techniques be made public? on: May 17, 2021, 12:07:26 PM
Every case has a slightly different method in solving the crime and I think that every process will be crucial to determine to either let the discussion go further or hit its remark right there and then. Tho, this doesn't mean that I will not agree with your statement @OP yet not fully. Because there will always be innovation to every process and that works for both situations (scammer's end, investigator's end).

It is important to keep few processes (for example keeping it for the next possible discussion if the evidence are not enough) but the priority is to always provide enough details or shreds of evidence.

Yeah, market manipulation so they can buy the dip. That's the power of whales....we have seen this happen before so its not new
Its funny how bitcoin hodlers always wail and panic about every dip.

Probably the biggest whales right now in the market. We sure can't defeat them so if you want to take advantage of the current situation it is always better to stay close and follow his lead or you just take a deep breath. we've always had that saying 'Keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer".

It is all a numbers game. It's either you react to it or take advantage of it. Whatever may be his motive it is still a good call to risk your asset that is how investment does works right?
32  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Don't buy facemasks for the coronavirus! on: April 12, 2021, 01:50:57 PM

Viruses are theory. Dr Andrew Kaufman among many other professionals show us why, and what the virus idea really is - https://www.bitchute.com/search/?query=dr.%20andrew%20kaufman&kind=video OR https://andrewkaufmanmd.com/. And once you watch the videos, you will find many words that you can use to search for other professionals.

But I will say it simply. Two reasons:
1. There are all kinds of other critters, non-viruses, that could be what's claimed to be viruses. Dr. Kaufman explains why they are exosomes, that come right out of our own cells, created by our body;
2. We aren't back in the early 1900s. We are here in the 2020s. Videos are everything. You can find videos of doctors performing all kinds of operations and procedures... of women giving live birth. Why aren't there any in-process videos - or even written notes - of somebody doing an actual isolation of Covid (other viruses?) using Koch's or Rivers' Postulates, the best procedures for finding uncontaminated virus proof... if there are any viruses?

The whole method for finding viruses these days, actually do find something. But what it is is unknown, and could easily be contaminated forms of something else.

Cool

I'm sorry but I think I have to end my conversation here for the following reasons:
1. your source is really not convincing.
2. exosomes and covid-19 may have similarities but obviously, there are many more different aspects. (you can do your research as well to why this two are not the same and not just believed a single doctor whom without studying it properly take it's position to say that covid-19 does not exist because of the said similarities). Maybe you can check this part (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UY4pJaGJgkA&t=1701s)
3.https://andrewkaufmanmd.com/privacy-policy/  I think your source is becoming a naturopath (unscientific expert?) So all the claims are said unscientifically?
4. you need to do a lot more research based on facts instead of concluding because of a single , few statements without proper evidences.
33  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Don't buy facemasks for the coronavirus! on: April 06, 2021, 11:26:04 AM

Let me get this straight.  You are asking for a 'scientific study from a trusted source' that analyzes the hypothesis that doctors who play ball with Fausti, the CDC, the AMA, etc have a smother ride in their careers than do doctors who go against the grain and question some of the orthodoxy?  Is that really your demand?

I am not sure if you know this guy 'Dr Li Wenliang'. I think he is one of the few doctors before who are trying to tell us the truth when Chinese government is trying to lie to everyone that there is no such disease (which we call covid-19 right now). Guess what? everyone during that time does not believe in him until china can no longer lie about the situation.

Do you pay any attention to the real world at all?
Of course, I do. how about you have you? did you open your mind about the possibilities or you are 100% sure that it isn't real? if you do then there is no point in arguing with you about this matter. Every expert is giving their best to study this case to provide better information and yet those who were just sitting their asses at home are enjoying the excitement of the opposite side of the story.

So how could any of us have proof, one way or the other, that there is a virus? Sure, those doctors who tell us that Covid exists, they have something. But what is it, and where did it come from? They don't know. And we certainly don't.
Are the scientific studies being shared online for free isn't enough proof? What kind of proof will satisfy your question?

Few of us have enough money to purchase the real answer for Covid
I am sorry but why would I believe in a person who has the knowledge about something but instead of telling the truth to everybody for free. In my opinion, this type of people can't be trusted because they are taking advantage of the current situation for their personal benefits. I can't believe why did you think that it is a good source at all.

That's the point. Maybe there aren't any viruses at all! Maybe they are simply parts of our own bodies that come out of us... called exosomes. They are so tiny that we can't see them. But if they find one in a bunch of filtered air, where did it come from? They might have some good guesses, but they haven't proven anything. But if they proved it, they haven't shown us the proof, or even a viable process.

Cool

Sure I will try to understand your sources. Yet if you are going to tell me "maybe" regardless of all the free data that is being contributed by the world. If so are you telling me that all the doctors and all the government are lying to us? Is testing also all lies? Does this mean that the "scientists" behind the studies are idiots and lying to us?

Or will the opposing doctor's claim will remain as a conspiracy theory that guys like you are enjoying a lot? I can still remember before the first conspiracy that went viral. That covid-19 is not real and the person behind covid-19 is bill gates who were trying to sell vaccines (sounds interesting right?)
34  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Don't buy facemasks for the coronavirus! on: April 05, 2021, 10:14:38 AM
But the real point is, how do you find out what the doctors say? I mean, you aren't going make an appointment with 10,000 doctors to see what they all say, right? So, where do you find the info about what the doctors say. You listen to the media, right?

how did you also find out? I mean, you are not going to also be doing this right?
Quote
you aren't going make an appointment with 10,000 doctors

If so you are believing the articles you saw on google that maybe just written by somebody else rather than medical experts?
I have been basing my point of view not just on mainstream media since I also don't trust them. However, I know somebody that died because of covid. I am not sure if you have known that before china is trying to filter out Covid cases back then. Then there was a doctor who said that it is true and nobody believes in him until that doctor died in china and covid has started to go berserk. I think you can find articles from this also not from the mainstream media. What is actually the point in here?

Then expand your search for the rest of the story, from what these doctors have to say. Standard media and the doctors they espouse, are lying to you.

Cool
if you can't give me scientific proofs that covid is not true that is backed with papers from the medical experts. It will be impossible to change my point of view  Undecided

Firstly, the only people who claimed to be 'experts' here on this forum are a few people who you simps believe to be doctors because they said so and copy/pasted some WHO text as advice.

Secondly, there are _thousands_ of doctors who say this whole charade, or big parts of it, are a sham.  I'm more inclinded to listen to them since they risk a lot to take that position and gain nothing from it.  As a matter of fact, most of the pro-covid people are un-named 'experts' invented by the mainstream media.

Thirdly, any 'doctor' who claims that 'herd immunity' can be had from a treatment which neither stops infections or transmissions is obviously a fraudulent liar or to stupid to listen to for advice on how to trim one's toenails.  That should be obvious to anyone.

First, the argument of saying that who cannot be trusted is actually quite true because again they covered china in the early 2020s that covid is not true and can be dealt with easily. After a lot of people died they started to get to their senses.

second, how about those doctors in the early stage of covid19 that have died trying to say to everyone that covid is real? should it be easier to believe in them rather than the thousands of doctors who actually are still alive? I mean, they are the very best example of this argument of yours
Quote
I'm more inclinded to listen to them since they risk a lot to take that position and gain nothing from it.
third, if what you are saying is true can you back that up with a scientific study from a trusted source?

Edit: Also @badecker I don't have enough money to purchase the real answer for covid , I mean why would I buy it and why would I believe in it if it is just trying to sell off it's product rather than telling the real truth (for free? ouch i guess nothing real is free nowadays)
https://www.bitchute.com/search/?query=andrew%20kaufman&kind=video

also the doctor from your source is telling that covid is real Huh

Some of us are really busy spreading different sides of the story. They call their selves as experts haha, why not live with your daily lives without wearing your so-called dumb thing (which is the mask).

If you got sick (maybe because of the coronavirus) We should tell the medical doctors to not believe in you since all of this is a joke in your perspective eh?

If you are really trying to debunk this so-called coronavirus first, you should have to be a licensed doctor or any other area of expertise in the medical field. Why is it needed? cause if not anyone can be medical experts just like your selves.

I am not saying tho that wearing a mask too often might get in you in trouble in the future. So either way, we hoomans only have two choices right it's either you die in covid or you die from wearing protective gear from covid.

In the end, we still die. is your point will still be important by that time? eeh! obviously not

37  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Bagong Crypto Trading Platform sa Pinas - BloomXapp on: April 04, 2021, 11:08:41 AM
As of the moment, since I usually don't trade any other coins rather than those that are known already and has a good reputation coins. Mas ma igi parin na mag trade ako sa binance. Mas mataas kasi ng bahagya ang fee ng bloom and minding the fact na para ka lng nag binance so this only means na as of the moment hindi pa cla ganon ka beneficial para sa ating mga trader, either you do small time or big time. Unless , you love holding a lot of coins.

I think also na if you are new the very first step na ginagawa mo is to gather users which means na the first thinking agad is to lower the fees but their technique right now is to say that they are affiliated with a trusted exchange company. I am not saying na maling diskarte ito but I can't just see much of the difference in trading from them rather than from binance.

At the end of the day, we users keep looking for alternative options naman talaga that are of course more beneficial and convinient sa atin. So this is a good step for other entrepreneurs venturing crypto community lalo na ngayon at napaka sigla bigla ng market.
38  Other / Archival / Re: Invasion of U.S. by foreigners. on: February 23, 2021, 02:06:41 PM
why not change its current constitution just like the NK? I personally think that it is not bad after all to live in a foreign country that you wish for. To think of it also it is not just the U.S there are a lot of countries that are in a much worse situation of losing their own land.
39  Other / Meta / Re: This shitty Merit System has ruined Bitcointalk and made it like Facebook on: February 23, 2021, 01:17:57 PM
Why I think that your idea is not true because of these facts:

  • You gain likes on Facebook if you show boobies or if you are beautiful and wearing sexy outfits. Sadly most of the members of this forum are either straight male or colored-coded ones. Showing real boobies are quite difficult to achieve and if somebody will do it and receives a lot of merits then I will consider your opinion
  • The real cause of the spamming issue is the signature or bounty campaigns. If you really want to stop it or to lessen this problem to the very list then suggest removing it which is impossible.

Although there are good points in your post as well. It is really possible that some of the forum members are abusing the system as well so that they could stay on top of the line.
40  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Don't buy facemasks for the coronavirus! on: February 18, 2021, 04:31:17 AM
Only an idiot doesn't believe in the virus lol...........
Only a idiot would put precedence of tel-lie-vision over science.
How many more scientific studies would you want in order for you to believe that it's real?

Quote
No shortage of them in the world just yet.
Are you referring to the shortage of masks or your ideology? Huh

The point here is that the virus is real and its danger for those people who have weak immune systems.

Not at all surprising to us who have followed the medical/industrial complex scams and crimes over the years.

I would not deny this fact as there really a lot of medical practitioners who are telling lies to its community which is completely unacceptable and should deeply be condemned.
