2701  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for .01-.05 loan on: April 23, 2014, 08:12:39 PM
No one will lend to you.  You have 5 posts - you've spent a couple minutes in our community and now you are begging for money.

Get bent.

You sir, are looking for nothing more than to exploit your "position" on this forum. I have already received a loan on this forum, which I was praised for since I am a newbie, and the conditions on that loan were taken care of professionally, and the "loaner" was pleased. I don't care how well known you are in this community, I for one don't have time to deal with someone spamming on my post.

You sir, are looking for nothing more than to obtain bitcoins by just asking for it. I have already seen many loans like this on this forum, which no one was praised for since most of them wew scammers, and the conditions on those loans were absurd, and no "loaners" were pleased. I don't care about why you want the money, I for one dislike people that just beg for money.

By the way, if this is a loan: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=580048.msg6336839#msg6336839 Then you're wrong, that is in no way a loan, that was a service.

PBMining, have you made a deal with this guy or is it a scam?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=579771.0

It's not really a deal I made with him, and whether or not it's a scam is impossible for me to know.  I simply told him that we can't stop anyone from selling their own accounts/passwords.  It's a free market.  Keep in mind, however that escrow is recommended with something like this and PB Mining will never have anything to do with the sale or mediation of any disputes.  For example, if you were to ask us "Someone wants to buy my account, now what do I do?" then that is where we step away and leave that to the buyer and seller to figure out.  These deals are done at their own risk.

From our perspective, the seller would simply ask to change the payout address, which is something we do every day.  Now if someone wants to change their payout address and they have a significant amount of hash power, then they must have control over their private key so that they can sign/verify messages.  We will require the signed message and only then will be make any changes to the account.  If you are using a wallet service that does not give you this full control, then selling your account would not be possible if the buyer wants to use their own payout address.

Well, has that guy contacted you, and could you instead just transfer the hashing power?

Yes he contacted me, and I simply told him that we can't stop anyone from selling their own accounts/passwords.  It's a free market.
PB Mining will not have anything to do with the sale itself.  If the original owner wants to change his payout address, sell his password, then there is nothing we can really do to stop it.  I'm simply stating that we can't enforce you not to sell your account, so go ahead.   Smiley  Just remember you may be required to sign a message with the private key to prove original ownership.  This is done for the customers protection in case their account is hacked.

If I buy it, can you ensure that the seller cannot take the account back? (With the seller proving everything)

Maybe he overlooked your PM. Stunna probably has the most reliable signature offer.

That's what I think, maybe I had bad luck or something.
Anyway, resent PM. Hope Stunna sees it this time.

It's only you.  Wink

I'm going to send a PM to Stunna again. It's been nearly a week now, and I haven't heard of others not being paid.
2708  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HELP Lost Btc in my wallet lastnight :(( on: April 23, 2014, 04:18:09 PM
What do you mean "someone send it the wallet that you don't know"? who is someone? You mean someone else has control of your wallet? And if It's sent you wont get it back anyway.

First, read the thread. Second, use common sense, how would he know who the thief was? It's like saying, "I got robbed" and the police asking you "Who did it"....
WTF.
2709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Cold Storage Question before I jump in! on: April 23, 2014, 04:11:43 PM
There shouldn't be a problem, change addresses are used if you partially retrieve the funds from your cold wallet.

2711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why won't Riot games accept Bitcoin on: April 22, 2014, 09:39:29 PM
transaction fe's and satoshi dust means the minimum spend is 6c with 5c fee..

many sites want the ability to do micro transactions where people can buy add-ons and bullets for fractions of pennies.

but Luke JR has totally caused the micro transaction market to not work

why would any site accept a 25c transaction with a 5c fee (20%) this is why zynga is not adopting bitcoin right now, even after alot of their devs have been trying it out...

Why would zynga or Riot allow transactions under $2.  They don't with credit cards, they wont either with Bitcoin.  They will have a minimum charge, and transfer that value into the users account just like with a credit card.  On a low value transaction they would make MORE money with Bitcoin even with the charges because credit card charges are still higher.

Even accepting bitcoin as a minimum is a good start. That way I won't have to buy paysafecards to get what I want in LoL.
2712  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The best exchange on: April 22, 2014, 09:35:28 PM
I'm quite surprised no one has mentioned Kraken yet. You literally only need to type in your name and address to start trading. And you don't need to submit loads of paperwork to withdraw anything.

2714  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Sue BFL? on: April 22, 2014, 08:31:15 PM
Do any BFL customers want to sue BFL?

I ordered my cloud mining service at BFL in Dec 2013. At that moment, it claimed that the company will provide the service in Jan and Feb time frame. However, until now, i still cannot get my product.

I know now the company is trying to provide some compensations to its customers, however, only for the orders having 6 month waiting period from March 4, 2014.

It is totally unfair to me and other customers like me.

More and more miner makers got sued due to delayed shipment and dishonest/misleading statements.

i am in Canada. if anyone wants to contact me, please send me email at shiyx2000@hotmail.com

I am seeking the possibilities to sue them at small claim court as my order is just at around $2000.

+1

''welcome'' to the club

i dont know is it possible to sue them, because they wrote this in contract:

Launch Schedule

This is a Pre-Order product which is not yet live.  If you're uncomfortable waiting until the development is complete and the miners are active, do NOT pre-order this product. Perhaps undesirable, but this is a pre-order market.  Customers flatly demand to get in line for the new technology before it's finished development.  This has created a lot of drama for the manufacturers but it's something we simply have to deal with.  All manufacturers in this space have experienced some degree of delay with their first generation ASIC.  Every last one of them. So we're reluctant to give a specific delivery date.  However, this is our second generation, so we have much greater clarity on the process and we expect to launch xxxxl, 20yy.  Hosting contract equipment comes from our bulk production of Monarch cards so contracts purchased now will begin to be served in the (they add/change every month new served month)) June 2014 time frame.

Pre-Order Terms: This is a bitcoin mining hardware pre-order. 28nm ASIC based mining contracts are activated according to placement in the order queue, and initialization may take 3 months or more after order. All sales are final.

i dont know but maybe ''All sales are final'' cant be in this type of contract

It can be, but the "3 months" is a lie, it takes like a year.
2715  Economy / Reputation / Re: byt411's Reputation Thread on: April 22, 2014, 08:27:56 PM
Even through the rig drop-out, and what seems to be issues between Byt411 and LeaseRig, The rig stayed mining on my selected pool, even though it was reset to being able to be hired.  I re-hired, and the missing time was added instantly!

Thank you!

No problem. I'm glad that I could help!
2716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Asiacoin to rival bitcoin on: April 22, 2014, 06:32:58 PM
DogeCoin was the first coin that had random block rewards, and BlackCoin the first PoW/PoS hybrid.

A bit inaccurate Smiley.

First random block reward coin was Junkcoin.
First PoW/PoS hybrid was Novacoin

Edit:

First PoW/PoS hybrid was Peercoin for SHA and Novacoin for script.

LOL. I just got that from the BlackCoin website, since it says it "is the first PoW/PoS hybrid coin to fully reach the purely PoS stage"
2717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: April 22, 2014, 06:31:05 PM
I have noticed that on this pool there is a long delay, several hours usually, before mined coins are exchanged for bitcoins.
My question is: doesn't this undermine the very concept of multi-coin mining, i.e. mining the coins that are most profitable in that moment? If you wait several hours before trading at the exchange don't you risk to lose profitability (or to take a loss)?

Coins have to mature and be sent to exchanges.
Also, coins are usually profitable due to a difficulty drop, not due to a price spike.
2718  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: April 22, 2014, 05:51:56 PM
After you pay people one month, write down the usernames in a list "march 17- april 17", next month when you are doing the payments again you can see which members are still on your campaign.
Can help out if there is anything I can do.

Oh and, I sent you back last months payment through Primedice last night. Wink

I suggest Stunna send monthly payments directly to PD deposit addresses... Grin

Yeah he could just credit ours PD accounts Cheesy haha... I told him that when had issue about payment , so he asked for new addy Cheesy I just said send it to my pd acc Tongue . It will go there anyways , why not save up fee Cheesy .

That is very smart Smiley spend all earning @ PD ... Smiley I wish you luck, but Stunna must be very happy Cheesy as he pay you for your posts, and you are giving it back while playing Cheesy so it is like he doesn't pay for your sig at all Cheesy

I am sure Stunna if very happy when you are doing it this way.

That's how bit777 used to do it, but they were a bit more harsh, if direct payout it's half the BTC, if it's to bit777 it's full amount.
Or you can look at it as such, that they doubled the price to the Bit777 accounts. Smiley

Not really, since Stunna, its only competitor was paying 0.0002/post, and Bit777 was paying 0.0001/post, 0.0002/post if Bit777 account.

He's probably talking about Bet777 double their pay for money per post.

No... He's just telling me to look at things from a more positive way....
-_-
2719  Other / Off-topic / Re: How can "black markets" be considered safe? on: April 22, 2014, 05:50:52 PM
So a while a go I was looking through the Tor hidden wiki. Some things like stolen CC's I think is very hard for law enforcement to stop.
But I remember reading about a guy selling citizenship to the US. Apparently this guy had a contact in the US government that allowed him a limited amount of green cards per year.

If this guy is legit wouldn't this be very easy for law enforcement to stop? Since FBI, CIA etc are part of the government all they have to do is order a green card from this guy.
When they receive it they check with their pals in Washington exactly how it was possible for them get citizenship. Then they will find out who the "government contact" is.

It's basically the same with stuff sent by mail. All they have to do is order some illegal stuff and then trace where the package was sent from.
That's possible right? The postal service have the ability to track mail right?

That is correct. That's why criminals get caught... lol.
Stuff like Silk Road is harder, since they're made up of multiple people. By mail, they can check around which post office it was sent, but they can't trace the exact location.
2720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Asiacoin to rival bitcoin on: April 22, 2014, 05:48:54 PM
Lol, what you see are just bagholders of bitcoin responding.....

Its always the same story the first one want to stay at the top no matter what happens.

Im no bagholder of BTC.
Asiacoin cant make it just because it has nothing special.
The relative short mining period and the unnecessary blockhalving (for a coin mined so short time) lead to very poor distribution.
Expect some pump and dump if anything happens at all, i see no long term gains for Asia coin.

Dogecoin has nothing special either or Blackcoin.... its the community and development work that makes a coin unique.

DogeCoin was the first coin that had random block rewards, and BlackCoin the first PoW/PoS hybrid.

peercoin kinda did that first

Okay, I'm wrong, Blackcoin is the first PoW/PoS hybrid that has managed to fully reach pure PoS.
