regarding exchange ban attack on monero: usually i dont have any mercy with any shitcoin. usually "crypto" folks claiming "but... we are in the same boat" when under attack, i tell them to fuck off right away. regarding monero i think there is a difference and bitcoiners should care about monero. privacy should always be defended.

That seems to be the case. I've mentioned it in other threads. Searches are up around the world but in countries with high inflation like Argentina or Turkey they are at an ATH. Add that to institutional investors' demand and see what 2021 will bring us. This is more, earlier than expected. Which leaves us with the question. Is this a supercycle? Or is it just early? i believe we are in a 2013 kind of scenario: price will rise until April, peaking somewhere between $80k and $240k. then a dump during summer with a low in August around $40k to $80k. 2nd peak in Nov/Dez around $500k or even $1mil uups... new ath... congrats... observing 29600  |

An EMP would be the choice, but I like it messy. I always recall the slingshot I had as a kid, whenever I see a drone flying low on a beach. Perhaps the coming summer I'll even buy one and carry it with me. Throwing stones manually at them does not work very well. Go for the sensors of those Boston Robotics droids. Most vulnerable part. A paint cannon might be a good start. Es gibt zwar das Limit von 21 Millionen Bitcoins, aber was bedeutet das schon, wenn man Bitcoin in immer kleinere Stück aufteilen kann. Er wird nicht knapp und jder kann sich schließlich einen kleinen Teil davon kaufen. Und es gibt tatsächlich Leute, die das ernst meinen. Das haben die Hintermänner von Ripple aber auch geschickt angestellt, im Vergleich zu anderen Coins in der näheren Umgebung auf Coinmarketcap erscheint XRP auf den ersten Blick "günstig". In Sachen Marketing und Verarsche war Ripple schon immer spitze und trotzdem bringt es ihnen jetzt garnichts...  Am besten sind die realitätsfernen Aussagen von Garlinghouse, dass dieses Urteil allen Kryptowährungen schadet. Auf die Idee muss man erstmal kommen. Ganz im Gegenteil, das Urteil zeigt organisierten Shitcoin-Scammern klar die Grenzen auf, dass die Gründer aufhören sollten, zentralisierte Shitcoins zu erstellen, an denen sie sich dann auf Kosten anderer bereichern. Vielleicht hilft das den verbliebenen, legitimen Coins. Was es aber auf jeden Fall erreicht: dass der unsägliche, von Ripple Labs aufgelegte Shitcoin endlich in der Versenkung verschwindet. Noch hält es sich auf Rang 4, es dürfte vielleicht sogar bis zum Jahreswechsel auf Rang 5 zurückfallen. Und dann geht es kontinuierlich Stück für Stück, weil es immer weiter seinen Vorteil verliert, so weit oben in der Liste gestanden zu haben, sodass es immer weiter in Vergessenheit gerät. Der Vorteil, den Ripple damals hatte, war sein früher Entstehungszeitraum, der hohe Platz auf Coinmarketcap und die damit verbundenen Kursgewinne aus Verkäufen der vorgeminten Coins, die die Eingentümer verwendet haben, um Partnerschaften zu kaufen oder den Coin in den sozialen Medien mit Fake-Accounts zu shillen, um den Preis nach oben zu treiben und noch mehr Profit zu erzielen. Das ist jetzt alles vorbei, das Kartenhaus bricht in sich zusammen. Zudem wird niemand mehr mit solchen Leuten zusammenarbeiten, bereits jetzt distanziert sich z.B. MoneyGram größtmöglich, mit dem Ripple Labs immer wieder geworben hatte, dass sie XRP verwenden: MoneyGram Releases Statement Distancing Itself From Ripple in Wake of SEC ProbeDie Exchanges werden XRP alle nach und nach delisten, weil sie es garantiert nicht gebrauchen können, dass sie unter die Lupe der SEC genommen werden. Es braucht halt immer eine gewisse Zeit, die betrügerischen Projekte abzuschütteln und um ihren wahren Wert zu finden. So auch aktuell der Shitcoin BSV, der kontinuierlich an Relevanz und damit an Preis verliert:  ripple hatte vor kurzem einen ganz perfiden move an den start gebracht. sie haben angefangen $-kredite an ahnungslose noobs zu verteilen, welche zweckgebunden waren an eine investition in XRP. rückzahlbar allerdings in USD. mit per betrug erbeutetem geld kredite zu finanzieren, mit denen noobs den betrug weiter befeuern, aber rückzahlbar in USD an die erfinder des betrugs.... das ist next level scamming. könnte mir vorstellen, dass dieser move einer der tropfen war, die das fass bei der sec zum überlaufen brachte. die sec hat ripple fast 10 jahre laufen lassen. ETH gibt es seit fast 6 jahren. beide krass pre-mined ... just sayin...  |

I bought bitcoins when the price was less than 10 USD per BTC and I still hold tight to most of them, even though I've sold some both on the way up and way down of the recent bubble to secure my initial investment.

keynesians argue that the inelasticity of the gold supply was crippling economic growth during gold standard times in the 19th century. that is the origin of the narrative of deflation being negative for the economy. and there is definitely some truth to this.
mainstream economists see the hard cap of bitcoin and think this is even worse than gold, since bitcoin is even more scarce than gold. what they dont get is that since bitcoin is software it has properties that physical objects like gold can not have. bitcoin is scarce and capped at 21 mio units, but it can be divided into 100mio satoshis per btc (and even further if necessary). when economic growth happens, bitcoin supply can act elastic simply by ongoing division. the trick is that in fiat the elasticity is displayed in front of the dot, more money units are needed, leading to inflation. with bitcoin the elasticity is moving to the right side of the dot, making whole bitcoin more valuable without inflation.
bitcoin is not deflationary because it is digitally divisible ad infinitum. it can swallow the entire value of any economy by getting more valuable. with gold you end up with impossible to measure gold dust and that is why it hinders economic growth when used as base monetary unit.
bitcoin fixes this. it is scarce and abundant at the same time. the schrödinger cat of money.

And it’s starting to make sense to replace our lawn guy with a robot...
