UNPOPULAR OPINION: Bitcoin will reduce money laundering globally, which is exactly why certain people and organizations are fighting it so hard.

this rhetoric is almost a piece of art. contemplate on it. wonderful.

The Feds Will Kill Bitcoin via Regulation
We’ve seen this before.

In 2011, the online poker world was rocked when the DOJ indicted executives of the biggest poker sites, seized the websites and froze player accounts.  It also turned out Full Tilt Poker was a Ponzi scheme in which only $60 million was available yet players had $390 million owed to them.

uuups, looks like we will be slipping out of the $ top 100 days list. worst case imho is that we see 5 digits again in october 2019.

kudos to dooglus for updating this thread every day.

907  Economy / Speculation / Re: This bitcoin news writer wants bitcoin price down on: July 16, 2019, 05:32:58 PM
I reckon this might imply that there are whales who want to create fear to cause bitcoin to fall so they can buy or they are in a short position.

In any case, why this sudden sentiment from a bitcoin news journalist? Did JP Morgan pay for this article hehehe?

The Feds Will Kill Bitcoin via Regulation

We’ve seen this before.

In 2011, the online poker world was rocked when the DOJ indicted executives of the biggest poker sites, seized the websites and froze player accounts.  It also turned out Full Tilt Poker was a Ponzi scheme in which only $60 million was available yet players had $390 million owed to them.

Barack Obama’s administration hated payday lenders, gun dealers, and pornography operators. So they attempted to shut those businesses down by choking off their access to the financial system. The FDIC threatened banks with fines and litigation unless they refused their business, while ACH houses that facilitated online payday loan transfers were shut down.

Make no mistake. The federal government wants bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies dead.

They will choke the life out of them through regulation.

Naturally, foolish bitcoin traders rushed into bitcoin and sent its value higher because they don’t really understand what Steven Mnuchin said. Now they do.

i was really starting to get concerned about this correction not being accompanied by really scary FUD. it used to be "china bans bitcoin" and now it is "trump will kill bitcoin". a deep correction with no AAA grade FUD would scare the shit out of me. now i feel much better.

the china FUD worked for years and created lots of 40% corrections. price may go down to low $8ks. this is regular bitcoin price action and it will shake the weak hands.

trump will not try to kill bitcoin. think of him what you want, but he is not that stupid. the message is clear: u.s.gov does not want big tech to become global banking players.

long term btc hodlers not affected.

The uncut video of the debate between Nouriel Roubini and Arthur Hayes had just been released

Quote
Alright, we had our fun trolling. Special thanks to @Nouriel for nailing his part by melting down over this past week. We couldn't have scripted it better.

Here's the full uncut debate with @CryptoHayes vs @Nouriel with @afneil as referee:

https://youtu.be/qlZukhN_C6c

https://twitter.com/BitMEXdotcom/status/1150769787435397127

I dunno, the Roubini guy seems like he'd be a powerful crypto booster if he ever gets to the point that he understands the technological impact of blockchain, whereas the Hayes guy seems kind of like a used car salesman. I don't share Roubini's pessimistic view of crypto (obviously) but it seems kind of stupid to dismiss his words out of hand, the man has spent his life studying markets.

tech impact of blockchain?? so far i have seen only a scam impact both ways (shitcoins and "blockchain-not-bitcoin" scams). the only tech a blockchain seems useful is money = bitcoin. this nouriel guy is a bitcoin hater from day one. waste of time imho.
909  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 14, 2019, 09:24:34 PM
in june 2011 btc peaked around $30. it went down 90% to $2 in november 2011. then it almost quadrupled to $7,30 in january 2012, creating a lower high in regard to the $30 peak. by end of january 2012 it had a 50% correction all the way down to $3,70

it went parabolic again in june/july 2012 and made a peak at $16,40 by august 2012 (4x but still lower high in regard to ath) only to crash down to $7 (more than 50% correction) then it climbed back to $13, but that took the rest of 2012.

it went parabolic again in january 2013, took the old ath in february and went all the way to $260 until april 2013.

the bull run from $3200 to $13800 was normal behavior. if we have a 40% correction down to $8200 it will be normal behavior. painting a lower high regarding 2017 ath is normal behavior.

if it plays out like it did in the examples i gave, it will take until end of this year to climb back to $13800.

sit back and relax, enjoy the show. i am not the least bit concerned about bitcoins status as the best investment opportunity in the history of finance. it will stay that way. hodlers will be rewarded. weak hands will get punished hard.

extra bonus this time around is the collapse of the shitcoins. let the scamcoin fucktards wait for the "altcoin season" until they are broke.

june 2011: peak $30
nov. 2011: $2
jan.  2012: $7,30
feb.  2012: $3,70
aug. 2012: $16,40
aug. 2012: $7
jan.  2013: $13

Sold 90%, I hope it's the correct choice.  I can't see it hitting over 12500 again in July at the very least.  The traders on trading view mainly suggesting drops to mid 10's 9's or 8's this month before a temporary pullback.  Could be a bad week from here on in.

bold selling 90% in the midst of a major bull run. it could hit 12500 maybe even today or tomorrow.

Don’t you just love it when people sell way too early & potentially ruin their lives yet they just can’t stay away from this thread & predicting imminent, ridiculously low prices.

 Cool

have seen this so many times. it is weird. same with scamcoin fanboiz, they keep coming back here. or the worst: btrash/bsv shills. (which of course are also scamcoins). I wonder if any psychologist will come up with a name for this behavior like "stockholm syndrome"

"I ruined myself financially but i surely kicked some butt on the interwebs"

those guys have no pride.

den hut hat xhomerx10 gestaltet. es ist ein natriumdampf leuchtmittel kaliber 600watt. die leuchten in wirklichkeit eher gelblich als grün und werden gerne im bereich indoor anbau genutzt...  Wink

this sundays close will be the most important close in a long time.

daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half year

it would be awfully important in my view to close above $11800

This is obscene, similar to what I imagine it’d be like to see your parents fucking in 30 degree celsius heat on a glass table.
