1201  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Safest Exchanges in the World on: July 26, 2022, 09:29:38 PM
Why it wasn't an insurance while it works like insurance? Of course, what do you expect from an insurance company, they won't give you the total 100% of the funds lost but they did reimburse some, and insurance work like that

For this, we look into the user agreement/contract which details what is covered, what is not and up to which amount. Depending on one's situation, it's possible to not assume any loss e.g. when a bank files for bankruptcy and your deposit does not exceed the max insured coverage (from where i live).

In binance? there are only tweets that says "your funds are safu" in case of hack and few articles.... which isn't surprising! they are merely relying on their own set money pool which will be shared by everyone. In the worst case scenario, it wouldn't be surprising to only get bits of your total cryto out of it, hence saying funds are insured seems wrong and sends the wrong message. plus this is all supposing that their safu jar remains untouched and CZ keeping his word-- to use them all for their users.

I agree with the lesser evil point but I would never think I'm insured just because the exchange has set aside some funds that they also control.
1202  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you guys think is the best crypto signals group on Telegram? on: July 26, 2022, 04:27:02 AM
This has been asked multiple times in this forum. I honestly think there are a chain of newbie accounts here who are creating threads and asking the same question (with different titles and mixed unique sentences as long its related to the best crypto signals).

I just didn’t know if anyone of you have already noticed this? It’s just based in my own experience. Hmmm…..

Interestingly, i found OP inserting his signal group in a number of threads so you might be onto something  Grin

Trading is difficult. Profitable trading necessitates extensive training and knowledge. But, thanks to my crypto signals provider (mycryptoparadise), I'm profiting without having to do much.
Learn everything there is to know about trading, as well as I use crypto signals from mycryptoparadise to turn my investments into profits. However, learning about candles, indicators, and other concepts is essential for getting started.
Apart from Bitcoin, you can search for many altcoins. Personally, I use crypto calls from MyCryptoParadise on the Telegram channel.
DCA
Don't go for FOMO
Diversify your portfolio
Hold your position
Join Crypto Call Group (MyCryptoParadise) like I did to trade and make profit.
Note: this is not everything, there are more.

I'd say try to see if the thread starter starts promoting in the process the next time you one again otherwise, it could just be beginners being beginners and asking one the FAQs.
1203  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: xbtfreelancer.com registration closed ? on: July 25, 2022, 05:19:43 PM
It's changed to xbtfreelancer.net

but it's in development

No word from any of their social handles (fb, twitter, bitcointalk) + weird downgrade to .net... It looks like a phishing website honestly, unless you have a proof to back your claim.
1204  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Take money $170,000 on: July 25, 2022, 02:01:40 PM
A large number of these "victims" were probably straight up trying to steal someone else's funds but did not know an uno reverse card was waiting for them lol. Can't say they have my sympathy.

but how exactly are you going to get robbed if you attempt to swipe the tokens?

Because the gas/miner/network fee in this case is ETH.

As explained by @/Hispo, there would be no ETH available in the address, hence the victims would send some from their own wallet. Before they can attempt to move the immovable USDTs, the perp has already broadcasted the ETHs to be sent out with a high gas fee.
1205  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bounty Manager Legit_Alt+ PREVIOUS CAMPAIGNS? on: July 25, 2022, 02:08:03 AM
or drop their profile in ninjastic.space which lets you filter user posts by board, see: https://ninjastic.space/user/id/2704646

But whatever the outcome of their campaigns, you have to check that for yourself. I don't think anyone keeps track of it.
1206  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Freebitcoin Incorrect login details on: July 24, 2022, 08:49:38 AM
Maybe I am the blind one here, can you please help us locate a dedicated support button or email in their website. Only thing I know you need to be a bitcointalk member in order to be able to reach out to them through their thread.

It's not the easiest to locate either. The contact form is within their FAQ page and you need to be logged in for it to show up.
1207  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN]-BOLOLEX EXCHANGE - OFFICIAL on: July 23, 2022, 11:56:12 AM
I tried to make money by placing BOLO coins in the pool on this exchange, after a couple of months of storage and receiving interest, they simply blocked my account without explanation and stole my coins!

Bololex SCAM

In general, using an obscure exchange + buying their coin that's only trading in their exchange are more likely to land you tears rather than profits.

Only thing you can do now is to go around their socials and see if they care. You can create a scam accusation about them here, see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0
1208  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Safest Exchanges in the World on: July 22, 2022, 04:34:18 PM
There's no best exchange. But i agree the mentioned exchanges above at least you are insured (this is based on exchanges recent hack incidents such binance) that even a hacked incident happened your funds will stay there.

Past incidents where funds were reimbursed should not be taken as a means of insurance. The reason they were fine is because it was only a small-scale loss and there is no guarantee that the SAFU jar will be able to cover every losses if a large scale hack happens.
1209  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Safest Exchanges in the World on: July 22, 2022, 11:52:30 AM
When it comes to centralized exchanges, the best you can do are:

1. withdraw your funds if you're not actively trading.
2. minimize how much you put in to relatively small exchanges. IMO they have less chances of properly investing in cybersecurity and being able to hold out during tough times like bear market.
3. keep yourself updated on what's going on with the exchange/s you use, sometimes there are signs you need to get out.
4. if you can, avoid them or limit your usage.
1210  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Zat.io - Swap between cryptos in minutes, no sign up required Lowest Fees on: July 21, 2022, 01:01:33 AM
Creating a new thread instead of addressing what was pointed out in your previous thread is just digging an even deeper hole for yourself. Thanks for confirming that you have nothing to counter.
1211  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase One - Zero trade fees? on: July 20, 2022, 01:50:25 AM
But if we're paying $30 per month, then it's not actually a zero trading fee, no?  This also means it's not for people who don't trade much, they could be paying $30 for a few dollar worth of trade fees. As you can guess, they earn from their spread as well which I'm guessing would still be present.
1212  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone using Gate here ? on: July 19, 2022, 08:23:01 PM
I don't think they have a market order shortcut as well... if you wanna do that, just place a buy order higher than the current market price. Say market price is $1, place it at $1.5. Don't worry, you won't be buying at a higher price because the better order will be matched for you which is at the current market price.
1213  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Kucoin us customers leverage on: July 19, 2022, 04:10:51 AM
Kucoin actually doesn't support USA which is why you won't be able to verify your account. People from unsupported countries are just taking advantage of the no-mandatory KYC policy. For leverage, last time i check they have a maximum of x5 for unverified accounts.

If you go to r/kucoin and search for similar situations, you'll find mix responses. Some have smooth experience and some have been asked to KYC...  What I'm trying to say is, you should be cautious with them because technically they aren't allowed to operate in the USA.
1214  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Huobi Global has the lowest fees on: July 17, 2022, 07:28:56 PM
Any proof of authenticity for this email? I dropped it in their handles authenticator and it returned:

Unofficial channel

The charmaine.lim@huobi.com you inquired is NOT the official channel of Huobi

I did "support@huobigroup.com" as well just to make sure email addresses are accepted

Huobi Official Email

The support@huobigroup.com you inquired is the official Email of Huobi
1215  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is bi-finance.tech a scam? on: July 17, 2022, 01:05:44 AM
I guess it's called a "bot", anyway I posted a comment to a video on a youtube channel relating to finances. There was a reply saying.....

Was their username highlighted in their reply? if not, then it isn't from the channel account.

But even if the reply is actually from the channel account, it doesn't mean it should be trusted as hacking youtube accounts to conduct scams are pretty rampant and there are channels who are already malicious from the very start. Best to not entertain any strangers coming to you to talk about money, it is most of the time a scam attempt. You know what they say, if it's too good to be true, it probably is.

As a last resort, you can try to come up with a little story to make them feel a reinvestment is possible when funds are released, who knows maybe they're dumb enough to bite lol.
1216  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CoinPayments no longer available in the U.S on: July 15, 2022, 08:58:01 AM
I agree. With such short deadline, they should at least post in every social channels they have otherwise it limits the news from spreading.

Although tedious, there's apparently a way to get your funds out in case you miss their given deadline. Let's just hope there will be no additional/hidden fee aside from the network fees.

...If you do not withdraw your assets to another wallet by July 20, 2022 you will still own those assets but will not have access to your account. You will need to submit a Support ticket and we will send your assets, net of network fees, to a wallet that you designate after we confirm your identity. Thank you for your understanding and prompt attention to this matter.
1217  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitopro.net on: July 15, 2022, 03:43:06 AM
Take a look at their recent trades and orderbook. The exchange is pretty new in the game and almost no one has heard of it, yet they are making a lot of trades... it doesn't make sense.

A closer look will tell you the same numbers are being repeated

1218  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance: Payment Suspended Due to Risk Management on: July 14, 2022, 07:10:56 AM
I wonder if the update your app prompt is a thing everyone gets when their app becomes outdated? it could be that op's problem solved on its own and the "update your app" prompt was a mere coincidence.
1219  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Linzhiphoenix.io SCAM Review on: July 14, 2022, 03:34:55 AM
So you sent the payment to address 34rJytHdpdeAfjXbhTVrSgTzskL13JK8xP?

Because it belongs to kraken.com exchange, see:

https://oxt.me/address/34rJytHdpdeAfjXbhTVrSgTzskL13JK8xP
https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin/address/34rJytHdpdeAfjXbhTVrSgTzskL13JK8xP

Try to get in touch with them and see what they may be able to do for you. If they decide to help, you will most likely need to involve the authorities.
1220  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Fake ChipMixer review? on: July 14, 2022, 01:37:57 AM
There is still a small chance that she could make a mistake if that happened during the recent period when Chipmixer clearnet domain was not available at all.

I find it hard to buy that it was an honest mistake. In their article, blender.io was repeated many times but they still managed to give a phishing link...

]1) Blender.io

Blender.io is one of the best Bitcoin tumblers available for beginners and experts to mix coins.... Registration Requirement: No registration is required to mix Bitcoins on Blender.io

Note: I forgot i was in the wayback machine when i did the snapshot but you get it.

Notice that it's blendAr instead of blendEr? from what it looks like, the article is just a ploy to disguise phishing links.

I am not even sure that person even exist,

I wouldn't be surprised, the way her picture was awkwardly cropped reminds me of face generators, for instance: https://thispersondoesnotexist.com/
