202  Other / Meta / Re: Reasons of be inactive on: March 16, 2024, 11:35:08 AM
One can be inactive for no reason at all, its their personal choice.

I was out of a campaign for more than 2months last year end and I was regularly active in my Local board and on the global boards, so campaigns being the reason is out of the question. Fellow local board members like @pakhitheboss can confirm this.

Genuine users will be active as long as things are working out for them.

And if you didn't post much in these 2 months it wouldn't necessarily be a bad sign either: people on campaigns have to post regularly, but we are all human (except a few AIs lately) and we have peaks of motivation sometimes, but also the contrary. Not that posting here is like any job, but having a little break from time to time should be viewed as something positive or at least normal. And if it coincides with the time you don't have signature, better IMO.
203  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What if we had only one language? on: March 16, 2024, 11:24:50 AM
So I have been wondering what if we had only one language?

What if all the countries of the world speaks just one language, would it have brought peace and unity in the world?

What's even the scientific explanation to the different languages we have in the world?

Well, I believe that having only one language will make communication easier. There will be no requirement for interpretation or translation, and people will be able to understand each other better. This could result with higher commerce, teamwork, and creativity. However, other scholars of language think that having a single language will reduce imagination and creative thinking. They think that language variability enables the emergence of new ideas and conceptions. This could encourage peace. However, speaking one language would result in a loss of ethnicity and variation, which I do not think would be enjoyable, and there would be no need to travel because everyone speaks the same language.

Easier communication isn't necessarily a positive thing by definition. Globalisation has brought many good things to humanity, but also not so good ones, and speaking the same language could increase the tension between great world powers. While in China, Russia and USA/Europe speak their own languages and live in their own bubbles, the world is more peaceful than if we all spoke the same. Even the search engines are different. In fact, geopolitical problems usually arise when their political leaders meet to talk and don't share the same point of view.

Little by little these bubbles are getting more blurred, but as long as different ideologies remain primarily in separated territories, the balance is easier to maintain. My two cents.

On the other hand, he can also use swap services online. Simpleswap is quite intuitive to use and he can get the TRX he needs in a matter of minutes, without having to sign up in any exchange, but there are many different services of this kind you can find with little research.

Anyway, by the time he decides to swap a part of his USDT in order to get the needed coins, chances are that another member sends a few to the address he shared in the OP. Unfortunately I don't hold any TRX and can't be the one who helps him in a more direct way, and if the solution is swapping then it is preferable if he learns to do it himself.
205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Simple mistake that makes you lose everything on: March 16, 2024, 11:04:20 AM
I remember that I once got "black" ten times in a row, and lost all the money I put on stake and which was meant to last for long. The good thing is that I didn't lose because of any Montecarlo fallacy (I was aware that every time I gambled the probabilities to lose were the same) but because I sticked to my plan. The bad thing is that my plan didn't go as expected.
206  Local / Mercado y Economía / Re: Twitt Trump vs Bitcoin on: March 16, 2024, 10:51:22 AM
Trump sigue haciendo guiños a las criptomonedas y a bitcoin:
<…>

-snip-

Due to these winnings, I might stay playing on this website a little longer. I feel like my luck hasn't run out yet.

-snip-

I'm glad to read your story and know that it finished that well for you. But consider learning about the Montecarlo fallacy, because chances are that you may end losing more than what you won if you keep believing in streaks of good luck. Of course, gambling from a scientific perspective can be boring, and magical thinking is part of the fun in gambling, but try not to overdo it with those thoughts.
208  Economy / Economics / Re: Btc new oil for USA on: March 15, 2024, 06:18:13 AM
I can tell you one thing, trading platforms have find a way to attract more investment capital with the introduction of these new Bitcoin ETFs. (So they are milking a new Cow)

They saw the need of investors, wanting to invest in Bitcoin.. but  not having to worry about having to worry about securing the coins and fighting over regulatory and tax issues.

Bitcoin ETFs also brought institutional investors into the Bitcoin scene with lower risk offerings on a regulated and familiar platform.

But not actually holding any real Bitcoin. It seems that they (ETFs) will work, attracting institutional money, but with a clear short-term/speculative vocation, so the new ATH can be unprecedented, but also the subsequent price drop.
209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake on a potential(obvious) loosing team just for love? on: March 15, 2024, 06:11:03 AM
I think it's bullshit and personally I would never do such a thing in my life. Your individual bet doesn't influence the performance of your team, it doesn't make it better or worse. If anything it's the other way around, if your team was better, you'd bet on it winning more often. In other words, it is the performance of your team that influences your bets, not the other way around.

Yes, thinking that your bet will have any impact in the result is a clear case of magical thinking.

But, on the other hand, it is not the only reason to bet for the loser. I rarely bet on sports, but when I do I often bet for my preferred team, even if chances of winning are low. This way, if they lose I'll have won the bet and, if they win, I will be happy so the bet doesn't matter so much. Some will say that this way I'll never have it all, but also the opposite, so it can make sense to bet for the team least likely to win if you don't care so much about the result and simply bet for fun (I'm curious about who here really gambles that way).

211  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Ganar dinero con los casinos? Realidad o ficción? on: March 15, 2024, 05:45:22 AM

212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How your feels? on: March 14, 2024, 07:29:29 PM
Just don't look back at your gambling history and you wouldn't regret it  Grin.
But honestly we choose to gamble with it so we should accept whatever happens to the price, it is what it is crypto price could always go up or fall down.
If you don't want to regret it then use fiat to gamble, don't use your cryptocurrency.

Depending on how you look at it, then we should also regret all the money we didn't use to buy crypto. That sandwich we ate last year, or the fancy phone that costed $1,000.

It is better not to feel bad because of unrealized gains, and better be careful with potential future loses.

As a newbie, I'm super excited to soak up all the knowledge you guys have been sharing and maybe even throw in a few of my own ideas about Bitcoin. Let's learn and grow together.

That would be Bitcoin board. Before anything else, I think you should refresh your memory of the forum rules.

Welcome (as new member) to the forum IdaraAbasi Smiley.

Apart from the basics I'm sure you already know, remember that there are also local boards where you can post in your mother language, if you're not native English.

214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Online Crypto-Gambling Legal in a Country Without Gambling Laws? on: March 14, 2024, 01:42:05 PM
Technically speaking, if certain activity is not regulated is not "legal", and if it is not forbidden it is not "illegal". So, if in certain country there are no laws regulating gambling, it should be considered as an "alegal" activity in Spanish, translated as "unregulated" in English.

But beware because in certain jurisdictions what is not regulated may be forbidden, although this is not the case in most developed countries AFAIK.

Ver: https://es.cointelegraph.com/news/peter-schiff-called-bitcoin-pure-ponzi-now-wishes-he-bought-some

216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Get one btc right away or 5 btc with a bet? on: March 13, 2024, 06:28:56 AM
Kahnemann would've told that you should go for the 5 BTC, but in television quizzes for example they know that most people needs or wants that 1 BTC and won't be willing to take the risk (it would be different of they invited rich people to play). It is probabilistically reasonable to take the risk, but when you have debt and this BTC can change your life it may be more intelligent to play safe and run with the money.
217  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Prepare Your Children For Bitcoin Investment and Not for Government Jobs. on: March 13, 2024, 06:19:34 AM
Send your child to school while teaching about crypto currencies don't just throw them to investing in a young age, they need to learn also to blend-in, they should also have a a job from the start, and save and invest this is the proper way not just teach them investment, what will happen if they are not graduates? or learn something in the schools, they will be bullied, and will not have confidence, teach them while studying, in this case they will also learn how to multitask, also give them room to grow at the same time, they will also understand it, don't rush them but teach them along the way.

Yes, why choose when they can have both? the stability of a job in the Government if things go as expected (statu quo) while investing in BTC as a plan B just in case. And, to be honest, holding some satoshis isn't that difficult, some people talk as if they were totally incompatible things.
218  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe in savings or investment on: March 13, 2024, 06:13:13 AM
We are not a valid representative sample as we are members of a forum around a "innovative" investment. Most of us see saving as a waste of money and we believe in hodling.

But investing means taking risks: even if some of you believe that this is a sure practice because cycles repeat and Bitcoin is antifragile etc. chances are that you lose much money.

If you save, on the contrary, you can take for granted that you'll lose a part to inflation, but unless you live in a country were things are really bad, it can be a not so bad strategy for those who seek stability at low cost.
219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Man bet his life savings on 1 spin of Roulette on: March 13, 2024, 06:05:39 AM
We should take all we see in social medias as if it was fiction by principle. I like Don Pedro Dinero's comment and I don't think he would've done the same if he wasn't being filmed.

On the other hand, this kind of content is very interesting for marketing purpose: when you see it, chances are that you want to feel the same (in a smaller degree, I don't think people are stupid enough to bet all their savings), just like when you see people drinking or smoking in Netflix. So who knows what is the real story behind this video, and without that knowledge it is better to doubt.
220  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Ganar dinero con los casinos? Realidad o ficción? on: March 13, 2024, 05:53:26 AM
