 Who must prove what? The person making an extravagant claim must prove, via experiments and evidence, that the new claim is actually more valid than current ideas. Pay attention, goofs. People in Toronto looking up at noon see the same sun overhead that people in Santiago see overhead at noon, when IT'S NOON AT THE SAME TIME IN BOTH PLACES. If the top of the ball is supposed to be up, then people on the bottom of the ball are upside down, and "overhead" to them is opposite to those closer to the top of the ball. If the ball earth scenario were actually true, it would be impossible for them to see the sun overhead at it's highest altitude in the noon-day sky simultaneously in both places.

Nobody is standing upside down on a ball. Our land masses are on a level plane surrounded by waters that are at SEA LEVEL, and when we look up, it's up. EVERYWHERE. Period.

It's not terribly complicated.

You are mistaken. At the equator, people on the opposite sides of the earth do NOT see the sun at the same time.

People in Toronto and Santiago do NOT see the sun overhead at the same time. When the people in Santiago see the sun directly overhead, the people in Toronto see the sun much lower in the sky. When the people in both places see the sun at the same angle regarding a pole that is perpendicular to the ground in each of the places, it is summer in Toronto, but cooler weather in Santiago.

The explanation is that the earth is a globe, within 5% of being a true sphere.

If you think that "everything is in agreement with measurement and observation", why don't you take a little trip around the world, perhaps visit somewhere in the Arctic circle, Greenland maybe?

And then go somewhere in the Southern hemisphere, perhaps Australia or New Zealand. Take note of the time difference, the position of the Sun and Moon, the position of the stars, and the amount of daylight. You could measure all of these variables, and test them. See if they align with your hypothesis.
