What have they been teaching me at school then? It's all fake?

You think there would be more deaths of people falling over the edge into an eternal abyss if the world was flat right? Or should I slap the tin foil hat on and just say they cover those things up...

Ah yes, the tin foil hat; a dome-like structure made from a thin sheet of metal with a reflective oxide coating that goes over your head and keeps the water out.

And because there isn't any gravity, there is nothing to cause water pressure... at least not very much of it. That's why the thin sheet of metal isn't collapsed by the higher density of the water outside the metal. Er, since the density of the air inside the dome, is way less than the density of the water outside of it, there needs to be something else to keep the water from collapsing the dome, besides that there isn't any gravity. I think I have figured out what it is. The density of all the flat earthers on the inside of their dome.

1. Launch a balloon with your own camera attached to it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAifzh7_-cg

2. Sail around the world on your own.

3. Become an astronaut.

Or simply buy yourself an airline ticket. And when the aircraft gain altitude of 10-11 km, look out the window. You'll see the curve proving that Earth is spherichal.

You mean like here: Airplanes magically following the curvature of the ball https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ny8-Q9QDpmg&nohtml5=False

or A380 USA LAX to Germany 5,800 mile trip NO CURVATURE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jB5YwfUcdWI&nohtml5=False

globe indoctrination 1935 - 1968  as a bonus evidence for flat earth: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqfCxSCkI1A   Cool

Hmm, how strange - in the first two videos the horizon and the ground below are covered with clouds - entirely or partly.
To see 'the curvature', one must look exactly at the ground below.

I wish I could share photos I once took from the airplane window. The sky was clear and I swear, there was a curve!  Grin

So flat-earthers, the sun and moon are spotlights, and we are surrounded by a dome 30,000 miles in diameter, right? What powers the spotlights, who built them, and how do they function (suspended from wire/gimbals/anti-gravity etc.)?

More to the point, who designed the projector that displays the planetarium-like lightshow we see at night, how many lumens does it have, where is it located and how is it powered? Must be a serious piece of kit...

Yes, you did indeed see a curve and your photograph does indeed show a curve. The window in the airplane is curved to fit the body and this creates a convex lens that slightly distorts the image seen.

That may be true with some windows, but the curve when looking through a lens changes depending on the position of your head. Look at these different photos using different lenses:

As you can see, the two distorted wide-angle shots on the left show the curves on the top and bottom of the shot bending in opposite ways. By moving your viewpoint up or down (or your head up or down inside the plane), different parts of the image would bend more. Your theory of windows making the earth look curved doesn't make any sense.

The great thing about using distorted images is that you can twist them to fit any lie. An airplane window is not a perfectly level 8mm wide-angle camera lens. Angle those cameras a bit you've got a nice subtle curve to your horizon.

Tbh, I'm not even sure that commercial aircraft go high enough to properly see the curvature of the Earth, apparently it was visible from Concorde, definitely from a U2.

I'm more interested in the spotlight sun/moon and the sky projector I mentioned earlier, can you shed any light on them?

Me silly? Look at the picture. The duck is laughing his head off. The bull is too dignified to take part. The guy on the right is in the process of ready-to-bend-over in laughter. Why? Cause the guy tried to do a gal who was way too tall for him, and he fell over in the process. A good photo couldn't have done this picture justice.

You mean the giant wang of that guy that is about to get laid? I mean look at that thing I'm seriously jealous. Any dude walking around with that thing in his pants today would have not only brain damage from the blood flowing straight there but also be a male sex God. Wait...it's all piecing together. Flat Earthers are descendants of giant wang man...

From the video, "It seemed a flat disc, with upturned edge." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIFYiHGqshc#t=12m50s

Again, "It seemed..."  This could mean anything. It could easily mean the strength of the glass in the porthole cause Piccard some nostalgia. This is the only little part of this whole video that says anything that might pertain to flat earth. The picture at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIFYiHGqshc#t=8m09s looks like a curved horizon... a spherical earth.

Cool

@protokol

Without access to the proper resources I can't say too much about the Sun and Moon. What I do know is that the Moon and Sun are flat disks about 32 miles wide at an altitude of about 3000 miles. This can be measured with a sextant and calculated with plane trigonometry. There's also a 3rd disk known as the Black Sun, it can't be seen with the naked eye except when it causes an eclipse.

Moon light is coherent and produces a laser-like cooling effect while the Sun's light is obviously hot. The disk layout of the Sun and Moon is what causes the spotlight effect.

We're at the limits of my knowledge here but I'm going to go our on limb and say the Sun and Moon are most likely synthetic diamond disks that are held in place via superconducting levitation. Originally I thought they were projected onto directly onto the dome wall but I feel they're probably separate objects.

They are pendulum-like objects, held in place by gigantic cables of invisible "inoson" (see Doc Smith's Skylark series), the strongest, toughest, material substance possible, except if you consider "neutronium" (see Doc Smith's Lensman series), which has similar qualities, but may be even harder. The are attached at the other end (the top) at the center of the dome, which lies something like directly over the North Pole.
