Quick Update

About 85% of the total GorillaBucks supply has been swapped
Point of clarification lol, you mean the intial 1,000,000 premined supply that was used for the swap, right lol ?

Yes

I'm still working on connection issues, it's got something to do with ports but I have not been able to narrow it down more than that, yet

Swap emails are starting to slow down a lot, though, so I have a little more time now that the thousands of emails are all gone through
Ty for that but can you also address my query about the pass on launch and if it will be a stake pass or full unlock pass as a full unlock will endanger the wallet... Ty.

You can do this with flags, same as all the other coins
Here's the thing though, I'm asking what I do (proper format, where does it get placed for proper execution etc.) lol

I've never messed with flags other than examples given, all I am guessing is it's something that will go in the conf file and beyond that I'm utterly clueless, the connection issue I can wait on but this is the last piece to my present time puzzle.

To be decided...

Deposits in your screenshot show the 29th for MMXIV - Snapshot was taken on the 28th; anything after that would not appear on the snapshot so I cannot, with certainty, verify those coins

Off topic

Can someone explain to me why a person with 800,000 coin would not dump half of it for a couple of bitcoins. Is it a rich list status.
Is it a hope to become an alternate currency next to the latest NXT. I'm thinking Bucks might have the potential now to be used for payments. Didn't realize how nice it is to start one wallet instead of four. TY

Ok, so I figured out what needs to be passed at launch, but how do I do it ?

walletpassphrase <pass> 99999 true

Also, not sure if you've pushed the update yet but I've restarted one client and am at 0 connections, was restarted ~2mins ago.

Also, for multiple clients... doesnt a unique port have to be set for each one in the conf file ?

Ex.

port=1234
port=5678

etc. etc. etc.

Or can they all use 36480 if port is not defined in a conf file ? I thought once a single instance used the port that it was locked in some respect.

To be decided...

Yes

swap@GorillaStake.com

If you received a payment from me already, include which address you used for BUCKS

If they were in by the time of snapshot, you'll get your coins. I will double check though, sure

Be interesting to see what those first five sell orders on c-cex to to the buck price. Would seriously hate to see the value low enough long enough where people buy coins and start bands for like $50 worth of BTC.

If that ever happened I don't see this coin lasting long as the market would at some point be flooded with minted band coins.

Also, how often are blocks found and what are the rewards for each block... here's what I tracked in 25 mins.

11:35pm 2,621 Buck Blocks - 12am 2,642 Buck Blocks

To be decided...

So I can assume then it's 1 buck per block ?

Oh and what about the port thing I asked regarding 36480 ?

The amount of coins minted does not increase because more people have bands. It's a good thing for more people to have a band, because they will need to keep the 5000 collateral in the wallet rather than the marketplace. It's not a good thing for people who already have a band, though, because they will hit less blocks. Too many bands, and it may make sense for people to stop their bands and stake instead.

There's a guide on GorillaStake.com/gorillabands.html

Quote
Setting up multiple GorillaBands on one machine is easy and takes only a few extra minutes. Please follow the guide below to complete setup in moments
First, navigate to Roaming and find the GorillaBucks folder. This is the folder and path you will want to remember for the second step. Copy this entire folder (except wallet.dat) and rename to Roaming/GorillaBucksMasternode1

Next, edit the batch file that was included in your wallet download and replace 'masternodedirectory' with the file location copied from above, (example: ../Roaming/GorillaBucksMasternode1). If this is the only additional GorillaBand you plan on setting up, then you can close the .bat edit window now and launch the client using this file.   If   you   plan   on   setting   up   a third, fourth.. GorillaBand on the same machine, continue on with the simple step by step instructions below

By now you have your first GorillaBand set up, so this will be easy! Simply copy the batch file (GorillaBand.bat) and change the datadir and ports   to   unique and   unused   folders   and   ports.   Each   instance of the wallet will need a new folder and port assigned to it. Simply copy the batch file and change a few flags to set up multiple GorillaBands on one machine, saving on rentals and maintenance

No, it uses Variance Staking, which scales coinage. Currently it's around 1-9 usually

Code:
int64_t GetProofOfStakeReward(int nHeight, int64_t nCoinAge, int64_t nFees)
{
    int64_t nMultiplier = 100 * CENT;
    int64_t nSubsidy = (((nHeight % 9) + ((nCoinAge % 100000) * 33 / (365 * 33 + 8))) + 1) * nMultiplier;
    return nSubsidy;
}

I brain farted and figured it out. But if you could PLEASE answer one final thing for me I've sorta been harping on, I can promise you wont hear another peep from me in the support area. Seeing as how the only thing after this question is the connection thing your actively working on. But ya, if you could please do me this one SOLID I would reallllllllly appreciate it m8.

Ok, thanks

You can auto-launch with walletpassphrase if your end-game is trying to automate it, which is what it seems like to me
Ya because I have the local machine on a weekly reboot.

But it makes sense it would need to be that way since earned BUCKS are staked until some confs come in.

But can you assist me with a demo of what you mean please ?

Ty.

Edit: I don't want to auto launch with the pasphrase if it wont be a "unlock for staking only" situation and not a auto launch which results in a fully unlocked / unsecure band.

I figured out that walletpassphrase <secret> 99999 true is what needs to be used but not sure where it goes / how it needs to be set up to be passed on wallet load.

Still running in to issue with bands and did some reading on the vin message me n others have gotten and want to try a few tricks but this "the above" plays heavily in to my testing.

To be decided...

THATS IT FUCKING EUREKA !!!

Wallets must be unlocked for "staking only" to allow bands to run / show... so basically each week after my system reboot I need to remember to do this less a workaround can be found. That aside, I can easily live with the connection issue this band not starting thing was what kept me awake last night !!!

So yes IGS, wallets need to be "unlocked" for staking only for bands to run after a wallet restart, unless your "anyone" is dumb enough to run an unencrypted band.

Edit: Soon as I unlocked for staking only was mere seconds before it popped up in the band list: 24.154.55.93:11838

I just got reward from masternode with locked wallet, so...

Ehh, who knows have you stopped your client for a period of 10 mins or more, restarted it and done NOTHING ELSE to see if your band starts up and shows in the band list ?

Hows it started and what's in your conf file, if you have one.

All I know is when I restart a client, it needs to be unlocked for staking only.

Edit: Your reward that showed up could have also been delayed in the chain which meant it was coming anyway...

Edit 2: See, like I deleted a band 5 minutes ago, closed client restarted it and just had 2 bucks show up.

Getting tons of confirmed stakes but while they show in transactions
with hundreds of confirms - they don't show in coin total on dashboard??

Any thoughts?
