Selling or holding your bitcoin is your decision to make. If you need money urgently and the situation cannot wait, then you will have to sell. People believe that bitcoin price can increase  and that is why the hold and keep adding to their portfolio. IMO, price of bitcoin can rise over the coming years and we should have some in our portfolio.

I'm not going to do that anymore after the many times I did and then it rose up. I'm always unlucky, I mean now I'm saving and the price is stable... I want to save and wait for the price to go up, and I'll sell it next year.

Maybe this time you need to have a specific plan so that you will be to know the right time to sell, without a plan or a goal that would make you greedy as you are still waiting for a bigger price and you cannot do the right timing as the price of bitcoin is unpredictable.

The topic itself has no sense as there is no sense of holding your bitcoin when you will not sell it. But it was understood along the discussion that we need to sell our bitcoins and will only do that at the right time that we see already that we will be making profit.

Yeah patience is the key to make profits in bitcoin and its better to hold them bit longer as price is expected to rise in the year end and I think that would be the right time to sell them.

These people are good in talking nonsense. The majority of the people that say they will not sell their coins before reaching a certain price level, will sell as soon as they see they have made like 25% profit. It's too tempting for them to resist. Only the best holders can manage to hold their coins till it reaches a certain price level. And these holders are a far minority I can tell you.

I don't see the point of not selling my Bitcoins ever. It would be a good decision if we invest in Bitcoin and hold it for years or even decades and then sell it once we are happy with the price. But, not selling my coins ever would be as if my Bitcoin wallet is inactive because after I die, I wouldn't be able to enjoy all the money that I get from my hard work. I think this idea is absurd. It would be really funny having millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin and not be able to use it ever because you never sold a single Bitcoin.

it doesn't really matter whether or not you have enough money. smart traders from time to time secure profits to have a better fiat-btc ratio as it will allow them to benefit from the price going lower. at the end of the day every trader is trying to let the number of coins that he has grow. everything else doesn't matter.

Well it's obviously a wiser way to do if people will use first their fiat or any kinds of resources to deal with their real life spendings rather than use their bitcoin in order to covered it.

But when times that it really needs a call of bitcoin to enter the scene, it's not wrong on selling those coins.

Obviously, if someone already have money in hands and he does not need anything then he would probably not like to sell his coins as we all know that bitcoin has the potential to grow higher with the time, but the ones who sell their coins are those who needs money and they have no other option than this.

This is true but I think that on a day you have to sell it because otherwise the profit is most likely minimum investing with the bitcoin in something is also doubling your risks if you are asking me.

If you dont sell bitcoin you will not gaining the profit you should sell it the only you invest is patience and increases of the price. but it takes a long time before we can see huge price increase for bitcoin its not the same right now because bitcoin has a big chance to go huge increase if many investors are invested in bitcoin its growing day by day.. and i think many people are always waiting for 700 value that can possible to happen before end of this year..
