Srilankan bowling attack never looked threatening, the whole team looked like a club team, India will win this match, mathews and chandimal are the only hopes for visitors

England are very lucky that the rain come and stop the match last night early because Australia look dangerous after they take that 1 st wicket. If the rain not come, i think Australia get another 2 wickets at least because it hard to bat at night with the pink ball. Now England have a chance to make runs in the 1st session day 3.

Yes I agree, England were lucky that the rain came just when Australia looked like getting on top of them. Now thanks to that rain England were let off the hook and will find batting a lot easier in the day when compared to batting at night. They still need to bat well, the key being Cook, if Australia get him early today then I think England won't make any more then 350 runs. The other key batsman is Root, get these 2 players early and its goodnight for England. If there are any more rain delays this test match could come a draw but right now I still think Australia can win.

If India want to bat again ,Sri Lanka has to post a good total with the help of their captain and Angelo Mathews but i am not sure how long they could bat and score runs,but if they could do so then India will bat a second time ,which i think is highly unlikely .
I cannot understand what happened to England right now,they were playing good competitive cricket for a long time and now in this series it is not that competitive till now.Lets see how they could change their performance.

If pollution becomes bad again then SL team can give the same reason not to bat and bowl then the match may end a draw. Yesterday SL players already gave that reason few times and went back to pavilion which makes Indian captain declare match early. England are in big trouble on day 3 against Australia at 4/82 with their batsman out in Cook and Root. They will need the tail to wag if they want to get to at least 240 runs which they must to avoid the follow-on. They are still a long way off that target and like I said I think Australia will win just as long as the rain stays away.

After a long time, SL batters doing a good job in this innings. If they don't lose wickets today and can manage to score another 200 runs in this innings then most likely this match also may end a draw. Sri Lanka is trail by 304 runs and still, seven wickets are remaining in this innings. It looks like the pitch is supporting batsman so they shouldn't lose focus and lose wickets.

I was surprised to not see Steve Smith enforce the follow-on for the night session but he didn't and now Australia is in big trouble at 3/41 and just lead by 256 runs. England have a big chance to bowl Australia out for under 200 runs and if they do, it will give them a big chance to make something of this match. Sri Lankan's tried pretty well, but still the trail is huge in terms of wickets remaining. Even if the players plays well, then also I believe its too tough for end batsman. The trail will continue I think and probably if Sri Lankans can hold on it can be a draw or else a huge win for sure.

About the Ashes, Anderson and Woakes just gave a light for them in the tournament. The quick wickets will help them I think. I feel this can be a draw as England batsmanif wwants can defend pretty well.

Batting in the fourth innings is not just about runs, it is about handling pressure. England haven't shown themselves in shining light until now. They have conceded a 200+ run lead in the first innings. Beats me why you are even thinking of England having a chance in this match.

Yes very true and like you said England haven't been able to handle the pressure in this test series so far but a good bowling performance can change all this as it puts the Australian team on the back foot. Like I have said if Australia get a lead of 400+ runs then its goodnight for England but if they only manage a lead of just over 300 runs, then it opens up the door for England. I think Steve Smith should of enforced the follow-on last night and right now Australia could be winning the test match but instead they must fight to get more runs on the board as there is still plenty of time left in the match and I'm sure we will get a result with one of the teams winning.

Still, Australia got a better chance to win this match than England team because Australia is leading by 268 runs and they still got six more wickets in this second innings to play. I think easily they may add another 100 runs to this total means England may need to chase down around 370 runs. Unpress pressure I don't think they can score so many runs in last innings. So I feel still Australia going to win this match.
