India have started badly, losing both openers early in the match. Rohit and Dhawan have performed well in recent matches and the Indian middle order has not been pushed to perform. It will be interesting to see how Kohli plays now. India are 54/2 after 13 overs.
India started pretty badly but Kohli played a masterful innings and scored his 31 st century and now only the great Sachin Tendulkar is above him for the number of centuries scored and he achieved that in just 200 matches which is incredible and if he could keep up these performance he will surpass Tendulkar for the amount of centuries scored in ODI when he retires,looks like this is a difficult pitch to bat and i am hoping that India could win as they are playing in their home town. |

If you wanaa bet, put everything on India, Nz has no chance what so ever. India is the best when they play in their homeland.
New Zealand is very talented team and its not easy as Australia because Kiwis are much better and prepared side they have history of big upsets even India we can hope this could be high scoring match but not easy to win as Kiwis will fight until end and have very fair chance to upset overconfidence Indian side Yes newzealand surely has the potential to beat India but i still feel india are too good a team in their home conditions India is the King on their home grounds as they have advantage of conditions and also the support from crowd which can nervous any team in the world and same thing we saw against Australia where India dominated entire series no doubt NZ will give tough competition to India but India will surely dominate the series. India has all things for winning matches at home but still New Zealand is team to beat they done great job and first match first shock great fight back by Taylor and Latham bring over confidence Indian down on earth now this is going to be very interesting series as we are going for second match South Africa ruining Bangla tigers badly in all one side affair third ODI same result no resistance from them and clean sweep |

I would say a disappointed performance by the Indians as they started off well by picking those 3 wickets quickly. but just could not continue that momentum which would have helped them to be the game till last over. On the other hand NZ played superb to register the 1st win. |

I would say a disappointed performance by the Indians as they started off well by picking those 3 wickets quickly. but just could not continue that momentum which would have helped them to be the game till last over. On the other hand NZ played superb to register the 1st win. This is what Indian team needed if you ask me . One team winning against all opponents without even being tested is not what cricket needs . I am happy for NZ and made good profits as I got 4 odds for them . |

Kohli's century was in vain as New Zealand aced their chase in a calculated manner. A total of over 330 is required on pitches like these to put pressure on the chasing team. Although New Zealand lost a couple of wicket early on, Latham and Taylor went about the chase in a matter-of-fact manner.

Latham and Taylor just played fabulously well. Good start by New Zealand Team, it seems we will get to see some tough competition then the previous tour of Australia. Mr. Kohli was the only batsman to show some good game, but rest all were below there capability. Wish to see good performance from both the team. |

Yeah it was a good match to watch as no one thought that NZ will chase the target looking at the pitch but there were some dropped catches and missed run outs that cost India the game and now India is under pressure as they need to win both the matches to grab the series. |

Taylor knows most of these Indian pitches very well and how to play because of IPL matches. But it was a good start for NZ team and it was a good lesson for the Indian team that they were thinking that they are a very strong team at home pitches. In the middle overs, India run rate was not so good and that's why they couldn't score more than 300 runs. NZ team deserves this win because they played much better than home team in both bowling and batting. |

That's a good effort to rewrite the history from the New Zealand team. Till date NZ haven't won an ODI played in India, now they have recorded their first winning making it their day. Indian team too played a good cricket, but I felt that they could have made a score above 300runs.

WI somehow recovered from the first innings failure now they are leading by 148 runs and still, nine wickets are remaining in second innings. Actually, in second inning they scored 88 runs just for one wicket loss. Compared to first innings batting this is much better and I think WI will win this match without much difficulty if they can add another 150 runs to the total.

Taylor and Latham were superb in their batting and due to this dedication Indians just could not find the way out to take their wickets. They batted magnificently and see though NZ win till the end. They are up in the series b 1-0 and it will be more exciting to watch 2nd match now. |

After dismissing West Indies for 219, Zimbabwe had a very good chance to win their first test match against West Indies. but their batting let them down and they collapsed for 159. Now West Indies are back in control.

I think Taylor and Latham seal the match for NZ.Their partnership was superb and enough to beat team India.I feel sorry for kohli,he made a outstanding innings.But no other batsman could contribute like kohli.India was 20 runs short and that cost the match I guess.I hope team india will come back strongly in the very next match.
