Yea the pitch did play a role in the match however Australia didn't bat all that well either and should of done better. It was a very bad tour for the Australians only winning 1 ODI match. India are always hard to beat at home but I thought Australia would of done better then what they achieved. They also consider wickets while choosing the target because if you have all 10 wickets in hand then you can easily score more runs so they will consider how many wicket opposition teams lost, runs they scored, run rate and many other things they consider to give a target to another team. He would be playing in a fear of not getting out to him and this might be causing his wicket to him . India played well Ystd to win the match though it was not a full 20 overs match . But I doubt in results it would have impacted much beacuse OZ would not have made above 130 and India would have chased it easily .
