This is why India needs Dhoni , everybody is of the opinion that Kohli could have changed the match but seriously speaking he couldn't have done much either , everytime it's Dhoni who steps up in these kind of situation.

Dhoni will play based on the situation, and he knows how to handle the pressure situation. I thought India would win this match easily but never expected they would lose a match like this worst. Good start from SL let's see how they will play remaining matches.

Indian players were overconfident that they can win yesterday's match easily but SL proved that they are not going to give up anything easily and need to fight to win matches. It was a very good performance from complete SL team especially bowling. If Dhoni was also failed to score those 60+ runs then India wouldn't have reached 100 runs. Dhoni again proved that he is still worth in keeping the team.

Good bowling by WI bowlers again in the second innings but the fielding has been consistently poor . NZ lead by 302 and it's still the 3rd day so they can atleast score 400  .

It is New Zealand match, West indies looks like very an ordinary test team, chasing 414 is highly impossible task for them already they have lost 2 wickets, so 4th day play is just a formality for New Zealand to complete the victory. New Zealand at home conditions very difficult to beat with quality of players in the side.

I don't agree to that , even Kohli learned from Dhoni and haven't you come across the match where Kohli was RCB captain ( which had all class players) and still they scored 49 once? Kohli cannot handle those situations too . Blaming Rohit isn't fair , lets wait and see what he will do.

Yes NZ has 90% chance to win this test match, i don't believe that WI will chase this target. 414 runs is not a small target, and already they lost 2 wickets. I think they can manage to score 150 more runs that's it. This is a clear win for NZ team.

Yea you are right its batting collapse and no captain can handle situation like this because its not captain fault its need to do some work with new batsmen technique they need to learn from mistakes and try to handle this conditions specially at home

Just because of Dhoni the team managed to put up a score of 112 else it was tough to even cross 100 in the beginning. SL on the other hand played beautifully and scored the runs before the 21st over. Can't blame Dhoni but Virat too wouldn't make a huge difference when the team is not playing well. Pandya's bowling was the worse and eh went for 7+ runs per over including Kumar and Bumrah.

It always happens that when no one play good only one player play and put some decent score but even then they lose the match. Next match will be interesting

The thing which these days players don't know is "Patience" . You don't need to play strokes when the ball isn't coming onto you and at the same time you can't defend each and every ball in these type of pitches . Dhoni played remarkably well and only people with true cricket knowledge know it.

I don't think West Indies can last 6 sessions and manage to draw this match. Batting last is always a challenge, and when you have a target of 414, it adds to the pressure. West Indies have already lost 3 wickets. I think New Zealand will wrap this match with a day to spare. Against West Indies, it is no longer surprising.

In test matches, if players can't build a good partnership then it is very difficult to score more runs. West Indies team is worst in test matches they are simply playing games, there is no aggressiveness in the matches and I think they are playing only for money. I think within short time ICC will ban WI to play test cricket. wherever they go the series will end with one side. So there is no entertainment.

They already scored 173 runs and lost three wickets. I think NZ can easily score more than 400 runs in this innings which will be tough for WI team to score. Most likely NZ will this match comfortably.

New Zealand struggled to make a great start and lost around 5 for 180 and from then on a good partnership helped them get close to 300.The run rate could have been better after the 6th wicket partnership, anyways credit to WI for a good first-day bowling.

West Indies team got a good bowling compared to batting. West Indies bowlers so far did a decent job and if they can pick up the rest of the three wickets tomorrow quickly then they can restrict NZ less than 320 runs. Later WI batsman needs to build good partnerships to reach this total otherwise this good bowling performance will be wasted.

I always feel that the current WI team is similar to Pakistan team because both are highly unpredictable . I just wish WI gives a good fight , they did bowl good but still the job is not finished.

Yes these two teams ate highly unpredictable teams, especially in test matches both teams will give worst performance throughout the series but any of one game they will bounce back that we can't predict. So it is risky to take any decssion against these two teams. 286/7  is a good score if they try to make 50 more runs it will be a good score in 1st innings.

NZ last two batsmen added almost 70 runs which helped them to reach a good total in first innings. NZ all out for 373 runs and now WI team lost two wickets for 87 runs. West Indies is trail by 286 runs and they have to play a good cricket to score these runs otherwise no way they can win this match. They just need to build a partnership slowly in test matches instead of going for big shots lets see how they will play.

370 is a great score according to me and since there is no holder or any good experienced player I don't think WI can chase it down. I hope they do though and if they do this will end as draw.

WI is not bad team. They are favorites but only in some occasions. Likely this is seriously a great chase if WI make this happen. Against NZ this is really difficult for WI to do such huge run. And like you said, there is no best player in team right now, it will be going to a difficult task for WI. Still I am at WI side and wish may they chase it. They have potential just need to use that at right time.

Test matches are over now, what has happened has happened. Next are the ODI. The next ODI is scheduled on 20th Dec (Wednesday). In ODI's too obviously the Kiwis will be favored the most as they have a pretty strong team as compared to the Windies. But the odds on WI are also good so you they might be the dark horses and might fetch you some money if you bet on the match live at the correct time. What's your say on this?

Ashes I feel it's Ausssies and Ausssies only, you don't leave your best player in the stable, they made a mistake and they are paying a price. I don't see them winning.

Australia has gained their glory again, their bowling attack is terrific. Especially, Michel Starc is playing fantastic cricket. so that England will not come back in this series. England has lost their main arm named Ben Stokes. If he could play in this format then the result would be different. he is a great game maker So Australia has got an advantage in the absence of Stokes.

Yes, it looks today India will not give up this match. They are currently in a very good position to score more than 300 runs in this match. Now they are 155 runs for a loss of one wicket and still 22 overs left. A lot of good batsmen need to come to play so easily I can guess today they may score 300+ runs. Most likely you will win your bet today and good luck to you.

This has become a one-sided match now, with Sri Lanka losing 3 wickets for 96 and the chase seems to be an impossible one now.A definite win for India and congrats to Rohit for making 3 double centuries and creating another record in his name.
