I don't see how Pakistan will manage to win against India when they are completely dependent on a couple of players, but it's possible if India's overall performance tanks.

India has always objected to play the Champions Toffee, India has objected to playing in Pakistan as the host. Pakistan team comes to India for any event and participates in the game, but the fact that the Indian team does not agree to play in Pakistan in any way means that the ICC is giving a little extra advantage to India. While the cricket players of every country in the world are interested to play in Pakistan, the Indian players do not want to play at all, maybe because of the bad political situation of their two countries, maybe this decision of the Indian cricketers. Let's see how well India can perform in the Champions Trophy which has been criticized so much and whether they can make it to the finals to see that.

Yes, i agree but still don't know why the media creates a hype every time. Maybe this is one way to celebrate too as no matter what hype they create, it is always the India who comes out as a winner. So its a win win situation for the Indian media

The only concern for me that Indian batting performance recently. The top guns aren't performing well but then the Dubai pitches are more batting friendly and they will suit them a great extent.

For me, rather than dew, it is the security concerns that is more important. There is an active conflict ongoing along the North Waziristan Agency between the Taliban regime of Afghanistan and the Pakistani Armed Forces. A few weeks back, Afghan forces shot down a military helicopter and Pakistani soldiers died in that incident.

Well it's completely false allegations from some nonsense Media tv channel, there is no helicopter shot down but some soldier got martyred while removing some terrorist activity from his land. And it's not big issues for such tournament to be effected because we already have seen A level presidential security to every player and team, and the security sources already guarantee to make sure thier tournament held successfully without any trouble.

Well it will be really huge mistake for any team to underestimate Pakistani team as they have already shown in previous tournament how to deal with such situations when everyone degrade them and lose hope from them at that moments they comeback and play wow cricket ( I think we should not forget Harsha Bhogle statement about Pakistan)

It's true that pakistan has some bad results in recent test series but we should not ignore how they won 4 back to back ODI series against top teams like against Australian in Australia and becoming first team to white wash south Africa😉

The politics that is going on between the two countries with cricket may not end, but I think the ICC has accepted a good arrangement. If India can make them worthy of the end, then their game will be played in another venue, otherwise it is more likely to be in Pakistan. In my view, if Pakistan gets more revenue than cricket, then the development of cricket, especially for that country, will also affect world cricket indirectly. Who loves to cricket, should increase cricket for those countries. More benefits should be given to them. Since there is no big cricket in Pakistan for a long time, there is no such thing as cricket in that country, especially cricket fans. I think if this big trunction is in their venue, the world will rise again in cricket.

If Pakistan Hosted the ICC Champions Trophy tournament this year but India can't agree to go there. I mean India didn't want to go to Pakistan because Pakistani Political condition wasn't peaceful. Pakistan have always been an unpredictable team, but they have been pretty predictable in recent years against India where they keep losing again and again which is why their amazing rivalry isn't so amazing anymore.

It's true that India were always a dominating side in ODI format tournament against Pakistan and looking to statics Pakistan just able to won four matches and lose nine matches with a single draw results since 2013. But looking to current pakistani performance and they way they were improving still you were not sure they can give tough time to Indian team it's quite surprising.
Well let me clear nothing is consistent and permanent in game of cricket but it depends on current performance and situation. Back in 2020 no one except Pakistan will ever beat India in world cup and they will be consistently dominating them but at the end Pakistan shocked them in 2021 and become first team to beat India in world cup with 10 wickets in hand.

So I believe just like PCB explain may be saim and fakhar open for Pakistan and then baber will next and so on can give a really good shape to his team and can have ability to surprise any team, to be honest from now I am looking Pakistan at semifinals Atleast.

OK.. news about the helicopter incident is widely being circulated in the social media, and I thought that it was true. Sorry for that. Let's hope that this edition of the Champions Trophy is a major success, unlike the scandal we had with the 2024 T20I World Cup. Neither the fans, nor the media rights holders were happy with the way the T20I World Cup was conducted. There were allegations of corruption and incompetence. I am sure that the PCB will do a much better job when compared to the USACA.

I am really laughing after reading these comments as after end of one propaganda now having issues which never happen or can happen in BCCI as well, but mostly mind-set is fixed for Pakistan keeping fingering and enjoy your 80% share of ICC revenue.

Yes one more thing I have noticed that if any tournament is to be organized in Pakistan then India never wants to play there. In fact, the relationship between these two countries is so bad that they never want to host a series against each other. You said that India will not qualify for the final, and you also mentioned that Australia and England will play the final match. How can you be so sure that Australia and England will play ICC Champions Trophy final match. All cricket fans know that India is a strong cricket team and they are far ahead of other teams in the ODI rankings i.e. they are above all the teams in the rankings.

Yes, Zimbabwe are top position after scoring a lead of 86 runs in first inning of test match. Afghanistan lost his three wickets at just 46 runs and still trail by 40 runs. Sikandar Raza picked the important wickets of Afghanistan captain hashmatullah shahidi at the end of day 2. Rashid Khan bowling performance in first inning is outstanding they picked the 4 important wickets of Zimbabwe team including the set bastman Craig Ervine. Craig Ervine played well in first inning scored 75 runs, just missed his well deserved century by few runs short but reached team to a leading total. I think Zimbabwe have enough chances to win this test match if they bowled out Afghanistan under 200 runs and they needs 7 more wickets to restricted Afghanistan under 200 runs.

Some interesting news from Europe: The European Cricket Association (ECA) has been formed by 6 associate nations from the region. Joining members are:

1. France Cricket
2. Federatia Romana de Cricket
3. Malta Cricket
4. Austria_Cricket
5. Jersey Cricket
6. Federazione Cricket (Italian Cricket Federation)

Interesting to note that the new association is not supported by the two full members from the region (England and Ireland). Also, the stronger associate nations from the region such as Scotland and Netherlands have shown little interest.

But IMO, this is a step in the right direction. The only regional body as of now is the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). And it's establishment in 1983 has been hugely beneficial to the associate nations. For example, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) receives more than half of its annual funding from the ACC, while the ICC contributes to only around 10%. But then, the ACC is supported by all the full members in Asia, while the ECA doesn't enjoy any such luxury.

2nd Innings are much more important to overcome the fault of 1st innings. The most important wicket is Hashmatullah Shahidi the captain of Afghanistan is beaten by Shinkander Raza. His score is very poor for 2nd innings. We see Rahamot Shah in the field in bat. If he sattled the bat right now then Afganistan grow up to 200+ runs lead to win. Hot damn. I always knew that the IPL is still leagues away from the NFL and EPL, but the margin is way bigger than I anticipated. NFL leads in terms of overall revenue, but soccer leads in terms of overall popularity in my opinion.

IPL will most likely never catch up to them primarily thanks to the currency value difference.

In 2025, we will have 18th season of IPL, and it's making his mark is sporting world due to huge Indian market and also having good influence few big markets which giving him good advantage with organizers also doing good marketing which is surely giving them good reward as well even now it's having the biggest market then ICC events which is good advantage for them after watching these figures I am strongly feeling in next few years we will behave this league above Brazilian League but after this it's never been easy to go above this line because we have huge and long success history of leagues which are dominating sporting world.

But one thing is sure this league had good potential and if BCCI able to work on few markets then surely they can go double from these figures in next few years which could be huge success for them and their strong system which is now developing on another level.
