Although I also believe in bit coin and love it, I don't think it can replace dollars not only in 15 years  even in decades. Gold can be a good example as it is valuable against dollar but they are not being used to buy oil till now. Its how us dollar is dominating world market and their is a huge role of government for it. So I think same thing will happen to bit coin like gold.

If the commonwealth weren't prepared for this type of change, it would dramatically change how they perceive the economy and pretty much a universal lecture will have to be taught.

Banks and middlemen will essentially be out of the picture, but the problem is anonymity with purchases. If a bitcoin wallet is (somehow) stolen, then there is no way to trace back to the original owner without giving up the anonymity.

Agreed with you, there are very less chances to replace the dollar by bitcoins. Dollars are universally accepted wherein bitcoins are still struggling to build the trust and to get regulated in most of the countries. There will be increased in the users of bitcoins in future but it will be to a some extend and dollar will be the always remain as the global currency for trade.

I don't think that it will be happen soon, it will take many years. Dollars is a global currency and people have trusted and used them as a mode of payment from  many years. On other hand Bitcoin is new and most of the countries are not familiar with bitcoins, many countries like india have refused to regulate the bitcoins, so there are some challenges in front of bitcoins and to get resolved all the huddles time is required.

Probably a country that have a very old and outdated currency then it is the best opportunity to integrate bitcoin as official currency and it would give bitcoin a boost and would be more popular. But replacing direct the usd it would directly affect the world economy.
