An update for those who purchased R3D when the first CFC initially launched a couple of week ago...Bittrex will just be canceling the buys already fulfilled and pushing BTC back to everyone's accounts.
Our new CFC begins this Friday, Aug. 21st and everyone can rebuy at that point.
That's unfair.. Very bad.. So what is the minimum price set ?

We made an announcement regarding the reasonings behind the CFC restart. See here for the Announcement. This gives us more time to show you what it is were building with a working demo prior to CFC opening. The ONLY thing that has changed here are the CFC and client/source release dates. Everything else remains the same.

Finally.  I know it's a complicated process and required at least a week to refund...   Roll Eyes

Hi folks,

We had intended to publish a full demo of everything r3d is capable of, but after we received quite a few requests I created this demo of one of the many uses of r3d: blogs.  Forgive me at times throughout the screencast I'm beyond tired but really wanted to let everyone see just part of what r3d is about and what we've been working on.  If anyone has any questions or I wasn't clear enough in the video, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Some details regarding the templates used in the demo:

1.  They're the most vanilla/basic bootstrap templates just for demo purposes.
2.  The templates we include for all purposes and types of r3d sites will be in our public repository and available.  Changing your site's theme or customizing it will also be as simple as possible.

Everything shown on the console will be available in the desktop client, which isn't ready for demonstration just yet but will be in the coming days.  r3d is meant to be as versatile as possible - enabling both the general public to view content on the network as well as r3d users running clients.  Bridging the two together is something else we'll also be coding if all goes well with the CFC.  There are virtually endless possibilities with what we've created and will continue to build, and the uses are only limited to your imagination.  With everything being built into the core, it's as portable and adaptable to any environment that can support it.  A wordpress plugin for example to use r3d is in the design stage as well.  What we're basically building here is every possible platform for any possible use.  Everything you'll need, we'll be coding and including.  One prime example is the graphical administration for your blog sites.  Multiple site administration will be possible as well as authoring content in an easy/simple-to-use interface.

Without further adieu, the demo can be viewed at: https://vimeo.com/136683417

We really hope you're happy with what you see and get an overall better idea of what we're doing with r3d and what you can do with it also.  Thanks a lot for the continued support and vote of confidence.

     Best regards,

syntaks

Indeed, nice demo. Very clearly explains the concept in a nutshell, even though the demo was specific to blogging, i think it clearly demonstrated the potential of R3D.
This is truly a game changer, as a webmaster, I can see R3D being widely adopted and supported by web hosts and 3rd party web platforms.

Great work guys, didn't even think so much work has already been put in to this. Keep it up.

This has been explained but to link you to the post here it is Smiley

It seems that most are concerned about our MAX sellout price along with the total r3d supply.

Let's do some math here to outline why we chose these numbers. We'll start with gathering some data from some popular sites.

Reddit
registered users: 36,136,190
subreddits: 688,164
posts in 24 hours: 52,117
comments in 24 hours: 469,987
up votes in 24 hours: 4,401,080
down votes in 24 hours: 702,349
(note: *24 hour statistics are averages from 10 years of data)

Facebook
active users in 24 hours: 968,000,000
pages: 54,200,000

Wikipedia
pages: 5,033,044

Bitcointalk
users: 526251
threads: 464804
posts: 12010460

WikiLeaks
docs: 251,287

Now, lets say that these platforms were built on r3d core. At our current proposed fee structure outlined in the ANN, Reddit alone would utilize a total of 126,476,665,000 r3d just for account registrations. Keep in mind that this is not all at one time (since total supply is 4,000,000,000). These are total registered users. that is 126,476,665,000 r3d worth of fees earned by miners. At 100 satoshi per r3d that is over 126,475 BTC recirculated directly from a single deployed application directly to the miners. Again, these numbers aren't even taking into consideration the number of posts or up/down votes. And as we all know more and more people are using the internet in addition to services like these and social media. There is nothing but massive room for growth and adoption for r3d's usability.

What is raised through our CFC is to be paid to the development team for ongoing features as a full-time development job.

I was honestly expecting a simple HTML blog like you would see back in the 90s.  The demo went far beyond what I was expecting.  I am in for sure now.  I cannot wait to see what is in store for later updates.

Putting up an 800btc wall will lead to lack of interest of this coin.  Many people will hold back on participating in the CFC since they know it will only lead to a refund.  You should just launch the project regardless if it doesn't meet your ridiculous expectation or not.

Just to put ridiculous into better view for you Augur Project, which is a subsidiary of some sort to Ethereum. Raised over 2000 bitcoin in the first 12 hours. 4712.42868299 BTC & 811634.94639973 ETH or $2,068,470.64 TOTAL.

https://twitter.com/AugurProject/status/634195469045006336

The 4k btc max, will be less than the Augur Project and the 800 btc minimum is well beneath that. I'll be supporting Jared and Syntaks/twoturtles through the campaign and afterwards aswell. The work that I've seen go into this project is already phenomenal and I hope that everything goes well.

You've got my vote.

I have no idea what the other project is about but just because they received an enormous amount of btc, doesn't mean this project will or even come close.   If things were that easy, many of us would be rich by now.

And your evaluation is based on what? How did you come to the conclusion that the value of this project is not worth as much? I personaly think its under valued, matter of fact, given that BTC price has droped sharply these couple of days, they should ask for more.
