Best Altcoin to invest in for 2016 and WHY

The best alt coins to invest for 2016 of course goes to XMR (Monero), couple months ago, it was around 190-300k sats, then rise to @700k some weeks ago, and now it's at @0.02 btc (it was reached 0.025 btc).

There are two major coins reached 10 fold increase. One is the Monro and the other is Etheruem. I sold both too early.

I also sold my XMR too early - and didn't even get on the ETH bandwagon, so you are one step ahead of me still. I was lucky on the ETC, bought and sold at just about the correct time.

Monero is going up consistently for two weeks now so I think it would be a good investment. It already surpass the trading volume and price of Etherium and Etherium Classic which has been in the top for a long time and more trader are getting in the game so I think it would continue to go up for now. Factom and Maidsafe Coin is also going up and down in terms of trade volume so I think it would be a good investment also profiting in the fluctuations.

What do you think about Decred ? I was able to make some profits with PoW and PoS, sold all, waiting.
The price seems to be stable around 1.5 USD, but people say you can have 8% per month with PoS.

Has to be Monero.
It's the only coin besides BTC that is actually accepted for any payments on the Darknet markets.
This means people will be buying and selling the currency.
Everything else besides ETH/ ETC are just some pump and dump schemes right now.

Monero is doing very well, I've been mining it for a while and making some good profits on the mining through trading - trying to hold a bit back too as I think the price will continue to rise. Annoying thing is that I saw the rise coming buy didn't buy a load. Never mind =)

The best coins to hold are "high quality" projects with solid devs.

Examples are:

NEM
Monero
NXT / Ardor
IOTA.

It remains to be seen with LISK, it may perform well in future, but waves seems to be a NXT based clone. Not much interest to me.

Price still low and many good things are coming

Lisk, Monero is best alt place for investment in this time but Iconomi is a good upcoming alt coin and with the another is decent it think the two is having a bright way.

I think Stratis is also one to keep an eye on. Last couple of days their market cap increased by 50%.
I would say LSK, ETH, BTC, STRAT, NXT (ARDOR) and XMR.
Stratis is a newcomer though, but they've got some good "real world"solutions, if they can get clients for their platform it could be big.

Monero was the biggest atlcoin of the year I think. but sadly only those people got profit who already have invested in it. because monero bumpped so suddenly and very fast. when people notice that the pump had stopped. LOL.. but yeah it made some people rich here.. not the price increase is stopped lets see what will happen.
in new altcoins i would choose, Xarum, Iconomi. Xarum because its old version was very successul and new one also getting appreciate.
and Iconomi because they are rocking in their ICO.

Yeah right monero is good  before when the price is low but right now looks like the price is stop running when the price is high..
So for me is always good to buy those altcoin and hold it for a long term so that if the price will increase again you can be make a good profit..

I would pick Gridcoin (GRC), as it is one of the more interesting coins out there.
