Having gone through this thread I'd say ETH, LISK, LTC & monero.
Not a bad idea to have little investment in all as just one of em can return all your investments (If it shoots up).

Looking a coinmarketcap today though, Adzcoin, yocoin & swiscoin are going places. I could be wrong

WHat about hyper stake ? It has high volume and good trade stability. It using an interesting pos % interest to fight hyper inflation. % interest per year can be anything between 1%-500%.

To give you a hint, SHIFT recently change the base code from Ethereum to LISK and actually SHIFT is the first to get 101 Delegates forging! not even LISK or RISE (RISE was only a LISK copy&paste). Actually SHIFT has today their own code and is moving fast. Their flagship product is Phantom which is decentralized internet and will work with ipfs https://ipfs.io/ , really interesting project!
If you want to have a look visit: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1155284.0
And if you want to know more about the project go to Slack, you can ask directly to the devs and the community, all willing to help and answer your questions!

Guys!! this is it!! the new web site and roadmap has been released, check it out:
https://www.shiftnrg.org/
https://www.shiftnrg.org/roadmap/

You can join us here: https://www.shiftnrg.org/slack-invitation

And I will share you a new post recently made in the SHIFT forum:
Only 10,228,609 SHIFT Shocked...meaning that if the coin reaches an ez to reach 1 million market cap it would be valued five times more than it's now. It's currently at $0.02 with a market cap of $223,287. If it features in the top 30 (which it should imo) the price of one shift would be worth $1 or more. This is an highly under valued coin with lot's of potential...just visit the new site and have a look at the roadmap...BIG things coming people. Don't be a fool and miss out on an great investment opportunity, current prices are good entry points!

Do they have whitepaper... id like to know how they plan to decentralize internet... without ddns its not realistic.. you cant expect dns providers to all switch to this magic system.. if so then namecoin and other coloured coin chains like emer and syscoin have already got market advantage in that regard

there are 2 Crypti founders in the new ARK token

ARK will do really damn well in 2017.

I doubt about this but we will see if it will happen, I hope it will but we cannot predict this also to be honest, right ?

The ARK has nothing new, all promised in the future, likely a scam.

Good luck with it, however I'm steering clear of Ark, the vibe from the coin doesn't feel good to me.

In my opinion, Ethereum is one of the best altcoin to invest in for this year because we can see that the price is lower than before and its a great chance for newbie investors or investors who want some profitable coin to invest in. Ethereum is a stable coin and the lower price is just a effect of high price of bitcoin so it is best for investors to invest in especially in long term investment.

What is in your opinion the best altcoin to invest in for 2016 and why. Pls add why folks.  Cheesy

I'm still in Primecoin XPM, CryptoBullion CBX, and Horizon HZ for longterm. Those have solid reputation and a good base for growth.

*** I do not recommend to invest in any mentioned coins without proper research, how it was launched, how it developed, community involvement, stamina, price history and volume, etc. So do your homework cause you're the only one responsible for your funds.

For me the best alternative coins to be a profitable is ethereum and xaur this to are really good the price is really not stable so that we can make some good profit i never tried this coins you mention from the op but i will give it a try i will try longterm of investment soon.

Hi sidhujag,

gerb brought your question to my attention and I'd like to answer.

Domain routing will be done through use of smart contracts. The storage system we use is IPFS, which on its own is
"merely" a filesystem and needs either a centralized gateway or another link layer like IPLD that connect but we take
this one step closer to true decentralization by embedding domain registration directly into the blockchain.

Let me know if this answers your question!

How is it different or the same as emercoin? See their whitepaper they do something similar i think..i still have a hard time seeing  real world switch to something that makes less business sense than say remittance marketplace or removing trust from traditonal processes that will help save end users major money.. or does a ddns do that in your model? If so how?

The idea of ddns was borne from namecoin but was a secondary potential market because of their aliases had data and can be modeled after tld names.. but hardly took off because of lack of business incentive to adopt such a system

no one ever mentioned eBitz yet?
backed by a European group of ethical hackers and has a lot of contacts/influence to make negotiations so that Ebitz will be available in the deep web from day 1, sponsored by a Dark Market to have high daily volume. Check them out here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1681965.0

Well, many bitcoin is really very nice that appeared in 2016's. Well, it's all pretty much have the same potential magnitude, especially the newly emerging ICN and make users become profitable much. but probably still better because eth eth might have lasted this long
