Not to mention the fact that the DSLK dev abandoned a perfectly good coin and community at Sterlingcoin. DSLK and SLK are going nowhere

I'm also holding and accumulating Lisk, its at a really good price right now, although I also have some rather speculative lower orders - I think Lisk will be a slow burner and will prove be profitable in the long run. Its one of the only coins I'm holding more than selling. The other is XMR

I can see it will become profitable as monero in the future.

For the following weeks, please keep an eye on NAV.
The reasons for me are simple to invest in NAV: 1. Price is cheap, 0.04$ for the moment 2. As you saw with XMR, the market is very open to anonymous cryptocurrency. Anonymity and privacy will likely play an increasing role in the cryptocurrency world. With government’s and central banks prying into our affairs it is very likely these type of privacy networks will only grow more popular. 3. The NAV-community is doing great work, they are going forward with their developments and I like the communication with weekly announcements on Monday for their investors. 4. And offcourse, exciting times are coming up for NAV with the release of the decentralized network

There is an ICO for Darksilk: https://silknetwork.org/darksilk/ico or icocountdown.com. There is a 37,7% return of investment (ROI) on using stormnodes. I would definately recommend! Its a one we can try but I do still not really trust it to be honest, there is a chance it will be successful but the time will lean us this for sure. Why don't you trust it? for one the whitepaper is totally just copy and paste... id ont see any innovation there.. they will copy syscoin decentralized marketplace but dont actually say how they will use it... im highly skeptical of it 37.7% ROI sounds like in-built hyperinflation too - I can foresee a massive devaluation on that coin - especially if it also has PoW (didn't check that), only Ponzi's usually offer those kind of rates. Sounds like a big risk to me. I'm not even going to look into it in more detail. IDK about the 37% ROI, but they do have ways to manage the price using two separate coins to keep it stable, so this could be an explanation, especially since its dirt cheap right now. Silk is a POS coin, while DRKSLK is POW. Either way, its better than DASH, no instamine and everyone is able to have a chance to get in unlike DASH. There are alot better advantages over DASH with DRKSLK too, particularly with its algorithm. I should also mention that ive been a big part of the silkcoin community since the days of the old devs abandoned the project, and we have come out stronger than ever. I think its a testimony to the good that can come out of a bad situation.

Really? Sterlingcoin does not sound that great to me, and its not like other devs leave other projects to enable them to achieve their goals which sometimes get held back from others. One example is IOTA, jl777 left NXT to work on that project.

Some of the larger Lisk investors have sold all their Lisk for Iconomi and plan to reinvest the profits back into Lisk. They did the same with ETC. I have multiple buy orders set going down from 38k to 30k. There is also speculation that a whale is preventing the price from going higher than 50k at this point in time (various theories on the motivation behind this are discussed a month or two ago in Lisk thread).

I agree, managed to get a few extra at 37k yesterday - there is a lot of FUD driving the price down at the minute - IMO anything <40k is a good price, so soaking up as much as I can whilst the price is at that level.

QORA at 41 sat price can go anywhere I think Augur looks interesting, not sure about the investment though. Also Lykke may be fine, but feels overpriced atm.

What is in your opinion the best altcoin to invest in for 2016 and why. Pls add why folks. I'm still in Primecoin XPM, CryptoBullion CBX, and Horizon HZ for longterm. Those have solid reputation and a good base for growth. *** I do not recommend to invest in any mentioned coins without proper research, how it was launched, how it developed, community involvement, stamina, price history and volume, etc. So do your homework cause you're the only one responsible for your funds. Faircoin. 1 - Has over 10k users globally (that actually hold it to use as a currency, not bag holders.) 2 - Has global presence (used in 5 continents - but mostly used in Europe (Spain, Greece and some other parts) ). 3 - Has numerous partnerships in the works, includes - banking, ATM partnerships and Silicon Valley partnerships (which will lead to more investment capital). 4 - Has mobile apps and NFC based cards in the works. 5 - Launching proof of cooperation (hardware based validation - Switching over from proof of stake). So no more inflation, it will be the total number of coins at the time of the switch ~52.6 million. I'm sure there's more, but that's what I can think of at the moment. Due to zero marketing, it is hard to piece together information on Faircoin and some of it is in the works, so it isn't public. A good way to learn more about this coin would be to join the Telegram groups.

There hasn't been much movement on any of my alts over the last few days. Last time that happened there was a massive shift in BTC price shortly afterwards... Wonder if the same thing will happen this time.

Still Wild Beast Block. Name getting re-branded with the announcement of the newly formed corporation around the new block chain tech that is being rolled out. So now there is no excuse because you don't like the name! Visa boasts spikes of 2,000 transactions per second, and that is just one payment handling system. With BTC and most of the coins on the list featuring a blistering 7 transactions per second, it's hard to see transaction times having a huge affect if the network can't handle the flow. Enter WBB (soon to be named ) and their already bench marked 10,000 transactions per second. The V5 system is designed to increase in speed and security with each new company that participates. 10,000 tps is the very bottom of the floor. A Swiss insurance company is going to be the first to utilize the network, but we are still waiting on those details. Bottom line, WBB is on the door step of rolling out tech other coins are only talking about, and they are already lining up clients for REAL WORLD USAGE!! Not just another payment/store of wealth coin, but something far more substantial. Worth another look.
