Oh man... 60 pages... this soap seems to run on thin air!
Got the email 3+ days ago and still ZERO BTC...
Is there a substantial number of users in this situation?
Granted, I had very little BTC (<1) in my account since most was invested in assets but see that there are people in the same situation who did get it back. More worried about the assets, obviously. Any issuers caring to comment on this? Any issuers received news from Nef or user data/emails?

In the Information Age such data cost a lot of money. What's the point to give it for free?

What's the hold-up on the assets? Does anyone have any info, or is everyone in the dark?

He may be just working one problem at a time. Get the refunds out, then do the asset lists... I imagine, that if he is still getting claim info being submitted to, he's still working through that. If he starts sending asset lists, they're going to be very incomplete, and with new claims still being filed, that'll change the lists, so putting that aside for now and just focusing on refunds until I'm caught up, and then sending out the initial lists with as much complete information as possible, is probably how I would handle it too. As for the refunds tho... think those emails being sent out should be including the amount and the txid, for those who haven't received their transaction yet. -- Smoov

I don't see how James would have any time whatsoever to do a normal paying job, enabling him to pay monthly expenses to maintain a household and feed the family if this is all he's doing. OTOH, he's paying job may be coming first, attending to the paying back task at hand when he feels up to it. It's either one scenario or the other. ~Bruno~

There was comment made earlier to the effect that James was holding up some of the process to force the rest of the GLBSE/Global to pay his CEO salary. The thought being that his paying job is the brilliant and steady hand at the tiller of the good ship GLBSE, and the scoundrels who oppose his enlightened leadership and gracious rule are working against the many and sundry debtors and investors clamoring at the door.
See, I am trying to write nice things because my 208 btc have not been forthcoming at all, and I fear that my gentle cajoling and friendly banter has cast me in a negative light, such that I will be the last to receive any service from the very nice people at GLBSE.

Wonder which kind of work he might be doing, given his modus operandi. We may find about it trailing a series of disasters. But since he ran GLBSE just for fun, as you say, he is justified in dilapidating the capital of hundreds of ppl who trusted him. Hey: he is giving them a free lesson on life and misallocated trust. He should ask to be paid for that.

Yes, there must had been a new script for that. Right. Because it wouldnt be too easy to simply stop trading and let people withdraw coins on its own. And in the portfolio he could have shown the codes that one should tell the issuer of the securities while the issuer only had to get a list with the codes and the owned shares. That would be a couple of databaserequestest. Not more.
But too easy isnt good right? And now some people got their coins accidentally doubled. What about the rest that didnt get their money yet? DAMN... what stupid handling.

Mind you,if he continues to double pay some of the clamoring masses and continues to leave me in this wasteland of inadequate and unfulfilled communication and no payment, I may have to pull out the gentle cajoling and friendly banter stick and beat him over the head with it.
