For the past three or two years, the state of Borussia Dortmund defender is really disturbing and nothing to be proud of. They are basically known for producing excellent strikers for a while now but they really have a big problem with their defense tactics. It's full of mediocrity and showcase of great weakness.

I'm not sure if they'll play in European competition next season but even if they eventually have to play, that would be a great disaster unless they fix the issue by getting the right players during the transfer window. It's champions league week, let see what they have to offer against Barcelona but I must say that I don't expect much from them to withstand the pressure from Barcelona offensive attacks.

Bundesliga have 5 slot teams for participating in UEFA Champion League regarding last season teams participants, I don't think difficult for Dortmund break to top fifth standings position although have 5 points remaining from Mainz and Bundesliga still have 6 matches left. In this season, Dortmund not performed well and drop outside from UEFA Champion League spot place after losing 11 of 28 matches in domestic league and seemly have opportunity in Champion League to get trophy.

Dortmund will face Barcelona at Champion League quarter final match for the first leg tomorrow night, indeed not favorable for winning difficult match but Dortmund won't loss opportunity get qualify until semifinal round. Will the resurgent form that Borrisia Dortmund is having in their recent matches I don't think that it will be a difficult thing for Borrisia Dortmund not to make it to the champions League next season it's true that the top five competition is very tough I see Dortmund making it to the champions League next season because they have started winning matches.

I don’t think this gap will close, but Bayern Munich still has to be careful. As for Harry Kane, this is one of the things Bayern Munich is luckiest about. For me am even surprised that they still manage to secure second place in the bundesliga title race because I was expecting most of the teams to have actually gotten used to their style of play and then maybe tackle them because they did something unbelievable last season and repeating such is the hardest task ever for any team so seeing them go head to head with Bayern is quite interesting too.

Dortmund is one team that doesn't buy player too often else I want to being  they would  have been able to fix the issue of their defence currently,  even teams good strikers they have been known for all theses years were groomed by them before selling  them off, so for Dortmund they would prefer more to groom players and sell than they would buy, let's hope they will be able to nurture the kind of players they can get for their defence this period so they will not have to continue with the struggle in their defence,  I believe if Tey eventually qualify for the europa it will not be a disaster,  they have always tried to do better away from their regular performance in their domestic league.

I think It their tradition, right from time they have always been a team that concentrate more on the attack rather than the defense that's why they always have a poor defense.
Even when they are in good form they still have the problem of poor defense but this season looks worse as they are struggling with attack.

The chances of making top 4 and qualifying for the champions league is very slim not because they are many points away but because they lack consistency in their game play, they have won their last two games and might end up losing or drawing their next game.

Jadon Sancho's return would be a great idea. He is just throwing away his career man. He had amazing stats at Dortmund you know. Since the day he came to the Premier League, he has been performing horrible. 

He is still 25 years old so he isn't late for anything. Just go back to the place where you feel yourself the most comfortable. Combining good attacker and defender signings by Kovac this summer could carry them to the Bundesliga title race again.
