The elimination from the DFB Pokal was another big disappointment as Leverkusen was the team to eliminate Bayern at first, and after that I thought Leverkusen could repeat the DFB Pokal title.

Replacing Alonso should not be too hard. It depends and it is about the chemistry and I think another coach can do very well too. What's harder in my opinion is to replace several players at once because I expect that a few players will decide to leave or push for a transfer.

Dortmund are very lucky, even when the season is about to end, they still have the momentum to finish in the Champions League zone. The victory over Leverkusen last week is a valuable capital for Dortmund, and they should be able to win easily when facing Holstein Kiel in the last match of the season. With the addition of three points, Dortmund will successfully secure a ticket to the Champions League, regardless of the result of the match between Freiburg versus Eintracht Frankfurt.

For a big club like Bayern, this standard is indeed quite worthy to be used as a target because after all, they are now a club with very good dominance in the Bundesliga supported by good financial management and above-average player quality so that high standards must clearly be a target that they must achieve in the end no matter what Kompany does later when he cannot provide according to existing standards then he will still be labeled as a coach who is not too good at maximizing the resources he has, although for the first season like now it will be more understandable.

I assume Dortmund will finish in the top four of the Bundesliga, even if they have to rely on Eintracht Frankfurt. I think it would be very disappointing to see last season finalists fail to return to the Champions League next season. Holstein Kiel is an easy opponent for Dortmund to overcome, I predict the chances of an upset are very slim.

Dortmund first half of the season has had a very bad run of form, and so far they have suffered 11 defeats. Luckily they still have a chance to break into the top four. If Dortmund are ambitious to be title contenders next season, they must overhaul their squad depth and stop selling star players.

You are right that Dortmund has been playing well lately just like Freiburg winning four games and drawing one of their last five. And fact is that Dortmund beat Freiburg pretty easily last time they played might give Dortmund fans bit more hope. You also look pretty sure that Dortmund will win their next game against Holstein Kiel.especially because Kiel has not been doing so well this season.
So it all depends on that game between Frankfurt and Freiburg. You are definitely not only one hoping that Frankfurt gets good result because you really want to see Dortmund in Champions League next season. It is going to be nerve wracking last day of games because Dortmund needs to win against Holstein Kiel and then hope that Frankfurt helps them out.
