I don’t think we can say they actually played well in my opinion because they wouldn’t be needing die minutes goals to actually win games like this, for me they struggled in the game like they have done all season so far, they could’ve won without going through all those stress. For me they need to up their game and since they are out of every cup with only the Bundesliga left they can as well push further to overtake Bayern Munich.

Bochum isn’t a top club in the league but we all can see that they have actually been good against top oppositions, if I can recall they took points off Bayern Munich and if Leverkusen do not also sit up they can pull off such surprises again. Six points off Bayern Munich might be looking small but a team of the record champions caliber can definitely withstand such pressure till the end, the more pressing question should even be can Bayer Leverkusen continue to win till the end of the season?

Leverkusen should focus well on their performance in the Bundesliga because their elimination from the Champions League of course their only hope to win the trophy is only in the Bundesliga. The previous week they played a very good match because they were behind first but Xabi Alonso's troops were able to make a comeback which made them succeed in stealing 3 points at VFB's home.

I think Leverkusen does not underestimate Bochum in the next match because Bochum is able to play better when facing a stronger team. So Leverkusen must try to play as well as possible because they need to get 3 points in order to catch up with Bayern Munich who are leading the standings. Indeed, statistically Leverkusen has dominated the last 5 meetings with Bochum and I think they can do it again in the upcoming match.

In fact, they are the favorites along with Eintracht. Another thing is that in the Bundesliga it is normal for someone to suddenly take off, but then fall just as hard. Literally last season, Union played in the Champions League, and they miraculously avoided relegation. But maybe with the new Champions League format, Mainz's chances there will be slightly more than "getting a few defeats and ending their participation in the tournament."

In the midst of Eintracht Frankfurt's inconsistent performance, Mainz 05 continues to show impressive performance in every match so that they are able to take advantage of the momentum to be able to shift Eintracht Frankfurt's position from third place in the standings.

Mainz 05 really performed impressively with the consecutive wins they got, although it was still very unfortunate when facing Fraiburg, they were only able to get a 2-2 draw. But even so, the results obtained by MainZ 05 over Friburg were quite impressive because they still got 1 point when in that match they only played with 10 men.

and regarding their possibility of being able to appear in the Champions League next season, the problem is that Mainz 05 can maintain the performance of its players and maintain their consistency to get points in every match, I am sure they will get a place in the qualifying round of the Champions League next season.

Bayern barely loses games, and one more loss wouldn't be impossible but two more would be quite unlikely. Maybe they would get some ties, which makes it possible, if Bayern loses one, and gets two ties, that would still make Leverkusen the title winners, but three points losing games from Bayern for the rest of the season? If in the end there is momentum when Bayern do the same thing again, especially when their focus is divided due to the Champions League and the Bundesliga, then there might be a pretty good competition later because after all, with the current conditions, the chance for Leverkusen is only when they can get the performance and continue to win while hoping that Bayern get poor results later.

There number of matches are equal now and if they play their next matches and they both win the matches, it will continue to be six point difference between them. Bayern Munich and Bayern Leverkusen are top two rivals but if they don’t have a point difference that is less than three between them both, we may continue to see their both performance in this manner although still in a very much competitive state. Six point difference will only give confidence to Bayern Munich when they have only one match left to be played in the league and they still maintain this point difference, or else, Bayern Leverkusen still has a chance for the league title.

Bayern Leverkusen despite all odds won the Bundesliga last season and they won’t give up now until the end of the season for the league title also. Consistency is what is most needed in this game and any team that can’t keep up to that consistency will end up not having any chance for the league title. Any lose on Bayern Munich and a win for Bayern Leverkusen from his stage onward, it is going to be a very big rivalry competition between them both.

I doubt that, it would not be possible for Leverkusen to close a six point gap. Yes Bayern will get tired but I feel that 6 points wouldn't be easy at all, it requires Bayern to lose twice, which would be very tough for anyone to beat them anyways, even if Bayern is tired, they are still far greater than any team in the league except maybe Leverkusen. The luck Leverkusen had was the game between them, if Leverkusen won both, they would be tied right now.

I guess we will still have to wait and see but I do not put any trust in Leverkusen to earn 6+ more points than Bayern Munich for the remainder of the season. It is not enough for Bayern to lose six or more points, we also need Leverkusen to not lose any points, that's unlikely.

You got a point here, the German bundesliga has gotten to a point where Bayern has to take everything more serious, though I know that they are on the move of winning the league title but they've to be more up and doing, this is not the period to entertain my form of underperformance, the manager has to put up different strategy to actualize the team goal which is to bring the title home, as you've mentioned, I think the manager should help his team to build more confidence to keep up with their winning peak in other to continue being at the top of the league table, losing or even having a draw at this time is not a good thing for Bayern at their league unless they aren't more ready for the league title, we know that it may not be easy considering the fact that they are very much contending for the UEFA champion league and the bundesliga title race too but they must not give any room for any lapses to avoid being overtaken and thereby threatening their chances in both competitions, so it now left for the manager and the entire team to initiate a good strategy for actualizing their plans.

I still can't believe that Bayern decided to sign Kompany. I think he is a great guy as a person, but I doubt that he is the level of coach that Bayern was looking for. When you look at their lost of coaches in the last 15 years, so many big names like Ancelotti and Guardiola and Heynckes, and then they got coaches like Kovac and Kompany. The gap that can instantly be seen between those coaches is so huge that Kovac and Kompany must have been moves by the club that came out of desperation.
