With Frankfurt drawing and having to play Freiburg, Champions League is now fully in Dortmund's hands. A win at home to already relegated Kiel by 3 goals or more, and they qualify regardless of what happens between Freiburg and Frankfurt. What a turnaround!

This is a unique & advantageous condition for Borussia Dortmund, as they just have to try to get the best possible result when they face Holstein Kiel. It will all be in vain if Borussia Dortmund can't get points when playing with Kiel, even though Kiel's current condition is bad, it doesn't mean they're unable to put up a fight against Borussia Dortmund. Let's see what will happen in the last match of the Bundesliga.

Dortmund shocked Bayer Leverkusen and ruined what could have been their home goodbye to their legendary coach Xabi Alonso. I also never expected the defeat much more a four goals conceded by Bayer Leverkusen. Dortmund really ran rampage over them to show/ reignite their desire to finish in the top four, their last game and that of Freiburg will have to decide who finishes  at the top four.

I didn't even watch the game, it was of no importance for Bayer so just from the replays I don't know if Dortmund actually crush them like the score suggest or they just went and play half hearted, I said it from the start, games like these when one side has little to show while the other must throw everything as those 3 points are crucial are games where you stay away from the winner and go for goals, usually an asian handicap in the middle, of course not overboard like 4+ but there a safe bet as 1, 2 goals are definitely possible.

Are you guys seeing the table, Frankfurt has 57 points, Freiburg has 55 point, Dortmund  has 55 and Mainz 51, if Frankfurt wins, it means they'll retain their spot as 3rd place if they draw they'll still retain their spot but if they lose then they could miss the top four if they fail to score multiple goals like 5-6, do you think the score line of 7-6 or 8-6 between Freiburg and Frankfurt could happen, yes it's possible but chances are very slim. As for Dortmund, winning Kiel is not a big deal but they shouldn't underate them cause their's a possibility that Kiel could draw even though Dortmund are favourites, infact Dortmund has to win and hope that either Frankfurt or Freiburg lose for them to qualify, if Freiburg lose their's hope, if they win their's still hope for Dortmund, since they could qualify by goal aggregate if they win Kiel.

Mainz are on the brink of finding themselves out of top 6 right now. They have a chance to qualify for the Conference League at least. But will they make it?

Mainz clearly have a good statistical advantage. But the thing is they are hosting Leverkusen and Leipzig are hosting Stuttgart. Leverkusen are actually broken now. I would like to see Mainz benefiting from it somehow despite their bad form.

Otherwise Leipzig might be able to finish ahead of them with their experience.

All their claims are down to the last match and they will play Kiel, who were relegated from the league, in the last match. I think they will win against them, but the important thing is whether the Freiburg match ends with a loss of points. They will play Frankfurt in the last match and they have no choice but to win this match. If they lose against Frankfurt, Dortmund can take the Champions League place from them. Considering this threat, I definitely expect Freiburg to win in the last match.

Those 7–6 ideas are fun for memes. But Frankfurt has only conceded 10 goals from corners this season, and Freiburg only scores about 0.21 goals per game from corners. So unless we're writing a story for a Bundesliga version of FIFA Street, a tense 2-1 or 1-1 draw is more likely than a goalfest

On paper, Dortmund should beat Kiel (77 goals conceded, second-worst defense), but people forget that BVB lost 2-4 to them earlier this season. Now that GroB is suspended and Schlotterbeck is out, the center once again lacks teeth

And yeah, Dortmund’s only path if Frankfurt draw is a 3+ goal win, but they need that early goal. If Kiel is behind, xGA increases from 1.89 to 2.73. It doesn't look good for BVB if they don't score in the first 20 minutes

Leverkusen just didn't care, not like Frankfurt will catch up to them so they knew that even if they lost ,they would do fine and not care. Xabi is gone too, not sure how much he would care, and it's said that Wirtz is going to City, to replace KDB, which is a great move for City.

One more game for Borussia Dortmund to see if they will make it to the Champions League next season or they will have to settle for Europa league and this will mainly depend on if Frankfurt will be able to defeat Frieburg or at least draw them. I more positive that Dortmund will beat Holstein Kiel in their next game. So far Borussia Dortmund and Frieburg has had equal records in their last 5 matches, 4 wins and a draw, although the last time Frieburg lost was against this very Dortmund in a 4 - 1 defeat. Dortmund will be hoping for Frankfurt to do them a favour and I seriously hope Frankfurt does it for them because I want to see Dortmund in the Champions League next season.

I assume Dortmund will finish in the top four of the Bundesliga, even if they have to rely on Eintracht Frankfurt. I think it would be very disappointing to see last season finalists fail to return to the Champions League next season. Holstein Kiel is an easy opponent for Dortmund to overcome, I predict the chances of an upset are very slim.

Dortmund first half of the season has had a very bad run of form, and so far they have suffered 11 defeats. Luckily they still have a chance to break into the top four. If Dortmund are ambitious to be title contenders next season, they must overhaul their squad depth and stop selling star players.

The fate of Dortmund qualifying for next season's Champions League is 100 percent in the hands of Frankfurt, for them I don't think Holstein Kiel will be a problem for as they can easily see them off with a win. If we track back to this Dortmund team, as we all know it, they had a bad run of form in the first half of the season and also in the early stages of the second half. There was a point in time were they were in 10th position and it wasn't even too long they started getting back to winning ways after the sack of Nuri Sahin. Even if they don't make it to the UCL next, for me considering how they were initially I would say they've done well. There's still hope for them but if it doesn't happen, they still tried.

With the late form of Borussia Dortmund, I don't see Holstein Kiel traveling to Borussia Dortmund's home to earn a point because they are not fighting to survive in the Bundesliga league; they are already relegated to the lower division of German football. Borussia Dortmund has more goals than Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga this season, so Eintracht Frankfurt needs to avoid losing to Freiburg if they want to book a spot in next season's UEFA Champions League competition. If Eintracht Frankfurt loses to Freiburg and Borussia Dortmund beats Holstein Kiel, Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt will tie in points, and Borussia Dortmund could finish ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt with goal difference.
